Mihoyo has a lot of characters with split hair! It may seem strange at first but it’s actually a smart game design, since whilst you play the game 90% of the time you’re looking at the back of the character. Mihoyo doesn’t want the hair to cover the design on the back, therefore the hair is split
I've always assumed it was to easily create the physics needed to get that flowy motion. If you think about it, characters with trenchcoats or long pieces of fabirc going below their waistline always have a split.
As someone who's got a lot of sewing anxiety your overexplinations are actually WONDERFUL. It's so much less intimidating going into a project when someone's broken down what everything means!
@Sarah Spaceman Yesss same here! I actually don't know the first thing about sewing or making cosplay props, but I DO love watching people making their craft 😂 I've watched a bunch of videos but NONE have gone into as much detail as yours, I can see how helpful your videos would be for others and I'm sure they appreciate it!!! This video was so well done! It's been a while since I've watched anything over 20 mins. You have a way of being entertaining while being informative and I learned a lot from this video :3
Just a tip you probably already know and might’ve over corrected for: usually when there’s fabric bunching around the crotch area, it’s because there’s too much fabric and you might need to adjust the inseam. In-house Patterns Studio made a great tutorial on her blog. Overall, this is so beautiful! Thanks for teaching me about the couching stitch. I had never heard of it before!
You made the process of cosplay making a lot easier to understand. The image for the leggings you used to show where each fabric goes really helped me visualize! Now I really want to make a cosplayyyy.

The comment about making a cosplay fit your body instead of the other way around is very helpful! I want to cosplay Catra from She-Ra, cause she's wonderful, but she wears such tight-fitting clothing and I'm really not that comfortable doing that, but I might just make it a lot more structured and with thicker fabric, still fitted but not so tight. That'll be a nice challenge for sure!
I'm really excited to see you doing videos like this again! I loved the beautiful detailing and techniques you did on Pink diamond's costume I saw on display once and followed on ig immediately after! Ive always wonder how you do all this beautiful and intricate work and in excited to find out!
seeing your process is very helpful, i'm planning on making my own genshin cosplay (not kokomi) and i'm inexperienced in sewing and clothing + cosplays in general but having you explain your whole process in detail is super useful. i also love how you used resources that are pretty accessible for the average person (no 3d printers or laser cutters) which makes it easier to follow! overall a very well made video + cosplay
the extreme thigh highs are a LIFESAVER technique for my herrscher of thunder cosplay... i was so scared of what i would have to do to keep those weird abstract shapes in place but no !! im simply making them tights

To avoid camels you can put a barrier on the cat part of the pants only. Full lining might cause accidental diapers. Intimacy coordinators use these. It's kinda cool looking.
I’m super lucky. I’ve got my mums pinking shears from like the 80’s or 90’s and they are still the sharpest scissors. I swear to god they are magic. Never needed a sharpen. Has needed to be oiled once or twice after sitting around for a long time but they are just amazing
