....Very Very Well-Done....Lots of time and effort spent sharing this 2-part series with your audience....Great attention-to-detail in all aspects....Not only the concise step-by-step layout and construction, but also the crisp video & audio recording, and the time-consuming editing....
Hey Donald, Thank you so much for noticing all of those details! It means a great deal, thank you for the kind comment sir. I’m glad you liked it!
-Frank
Gubbah thank you so much! It’s greatly appreciated!
Turned out great and I don't think some folks understand the amount of time and effort that goes into editing. In the end a great video. Being the father of Michael Jordan, you shouldn't have to worry about retirement. 😁
Bigfoot Isn't Real Thanks so much! It definitely is work for sure! A LOT of time editing. Lol I’ll tell him you said that. I can rest easy now!
@@FrankDoesIt Lol. Tell him you want a heated cup holder for the tractor.😁
Nice work, thanks for serving our country🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Absolutely! Thank you so much!
@@FrankDoesIt 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
What a Beautiful Shepherd.
Watching your son make the baskets was awesome 👏👏👏👏👏👏and the work on the shed was really good too.
Cathy Jones thank you very much!! He loves doing that stuff
Frank Does It I’m a grandmother and I have a grandson that loves doing the same thing. Children are so wonderful. I enjoyed watching you build but your son was a bonus. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
That’s awesome! Thank you so much! Kids are special and a great blessing!
Hey Frank, thank you for this video, it's no everyday someone will admit on camera that they did something that wasn't the best idea. You're doing a great job on these videos, especially having you kids around and your son helping. Keep up the great work as there's some little eyes watching you. God bless and I'm looking forward to see you in the next video.
Hey Chuck, Thank you for the kind comment! I appreciate that for sure. My thing is that I care if someone decides to build one of these on my design and it fails because I overlooked something. Thank you for your comment about the kids, you are so right... they are watching and learning constantly, best they learn good things instead of bad. God bless you as well and thank you for your support!
Extra support is never a mistake. That shed really looks nice. The weathered siding is perfect! I love watching an artist work. 👍
Andrew! Thank you so much! I greatly appreciate the kind comment 👊🏼
classic looking shed. Nice work.
Thanks so much!
Wood shed looks good, glad I watched till the end, congrats to your son
Thank you very much! He worked hard on that shot
Really appreciate the tone you set in your videos. Humble, open, collaborative.
Thank you! I greatly appreciate that!
My pulse raced a little when you said ‘ about your beautiful children having ‘servant hearts’
W said to my wife , ‘this young man is a ‘believer’, a Christian!!
That message went too soon. 😳
Then heard You say about your Son in God’s creation giving glory & praise to our Creator. 🙏🙏🙏
( not your actual words but something of a paraphrase)
It’s so wonderfully lovely to hear a ‘Man of God’ unafraid to give the Lord his place, & giving him the Glory...
hallelujah 😊
Thank you so much brother Alexander! Glory to God! Thank you for the kind comment! He is worthy of all praise! Romans 1:16! God bless you and your family!
You are a great father!!! Great shed ... thanks!
I appreciate that! Very kind of you!!
Just saw these videos and funny I just re-built my firewood shed, the first version was ok until a groundhog dug under it and caused the foundation to shift, this was when my son was a baby, now he is 16. So the new one is similar to yours. Thanks for taking us along, a new sub here.
Sam
Thank you for the sub and the kind words! Congrats on your new woodshed!
So nice to see a young family enjoying life in the country. You are very skilled. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You are truly Blessed with your wonderful family.
Thank you kindly 7Westwood! I greatly appreciate it! I am truly blessed for sure. God bless you
Awesome job 👍.
I will never build a wood shed. I will never build any shed. But this video popped up and I watched it and so glad I did. It was so special to see such a caring, spiritual person sharing his love that he has for his family and others and even the dog - stopping your project to give that dog some loving! It was great to see a kind person in this crazy world....I did subscribe to your channel, thanks for sharing with all!
Bobbie, Your comment made my day. Thank you so much for the kind heartfelt comment! You are awesome. Take care and thank you for your support! -Frank
@@FrankDoesIt Wow, now you made my day! Never had someone comment back and pinned a comment! Looking forward to learning to 'make something someday'
Bobbie Evoy thank you so much again for your support and your kindness. I feel the same as you in your first comment, it’s great to see a kind person in this crazy world!
Bang! Lol! Love his excitement!
Solid work! Nicely done
Thank you kindly!!
Sweet wood shed bulid 👍

Thank you brother! I greatly appreciate it!!
Excellent job. Parts one and two.
Thank you very much James! I greatly appreciate it!
You're dog is such a sweet boy. Kids are precious.
Thank you so much! I am super blessed!
Enjoyed part 2 as well. Great thorough work. That shed will last long. Wonderful family and skill throw by your son, well done. Greetings from Germany..
The Dude, great to hear from Germany! I’ll tell him you said so! Thank you very much!
Once again, great job.
Thank you Seth!!
How do you keep your viewers in suspense? Tell us at the end of the video. I watched the entire video to see what your son was going to tell us. The wait was worth it because what your son did was pretty awesone 👋! Great to see your firewood shed build, too.
Thanks or watching all of it Carol! You got a good smile out of him with your comment ;)
IMHO lag screws and blocking between the concrete blocks and stringers are like belt and suspenders. No harm, but probably overkill. Love that you are using reclaimed materials (I made a similiar woodshed using all reused materials--it's a woodshed in the woods so aesthetics were not critical). Not nearly as heavy duty as yours but it has worked great for five years now. Do you ever work your way through to that deepest row of firewood? EPIC Trickshot did not disappoint- NICE!!
Thank you kindly! Not typically, but we make it to the last row. That’s cool I’m glad you got to make one out of reclaimed wood too!
A really consederate Dad, and a good handyman.
Nice family, good work, thanks for sharing Frank.
Take care
Hello from France
Thank you so much for the kind words! Great to hear from France!
Wow Son did well withthe two basket ball shots.
Yeah, I was super impressed!!
I'm glad I found your channel, it's so refreshing to find someone who is not afraid to mention God and His blessings!
After watching for a few minutes, I thought that guy would be great to have as a friend.
Subbed on part one...
God bless you and your family...
Hey, Thanks a lot B Kind (awesome name btw)! I greatly appreciate your comment friend and thank you for your support and for the sub! Romans 1:16. Take care B. God bless you and yours as well!
I could use a couple of those sheds. Love the family involvement! Cherish the moments.
Yes most definitely! Thank you so much!
Dude Perfect just called and is trying to recruit your son;) Great build!
🤣I know right! Thank you my friend!
Well done Frank, nice job, you have some awesome helpers, trick shot was ace.
You have a real nice place and a great family, I really enjoy your videos and I wish you all the best for the future.
I live over in Scotland but I worked in the US for seven years before I retired.
You boys over in the US sure know how to work and I really enjoyed my time there, worked mainly down south in Louisiana, GOM and made many good friends who I still keep in touch with.
Thank you kindly JK! I agree they are great. Thank you, he worked super hard on that. Thank you for your kind comment and thank you for watching. Thats awesome that you are from Scotland! I have always wanted to visit Scotland, as I am from Scottish decent. It is very intriguing. I'm glad you commented, good to hear from you. Take care friend!
I'm in the process of making this shed and it's a lot of work but worth it. Thank you and God Bless you and your family.
That’s awesome brother! I’m glad! You’re very welcome and God bless you and yours as well!
Great shots bud.
john whitley he loves that stuff he says thank you!
Bravo! Great update!!
Thank you my friend!
I enjoyed this series, very easy to follow, clean, clear and concise. I wish more DIY channels were like yours. Thanks!
KROSNIT Thank you very much for the kind compliment my friend. I greatly appreciate it and am glad you enjoyed it!!
Dude Perfect at the end. My son watches those guys all the time
Joha Rora very nice! Yeah so does my son 😉
Someone has been practicing their basketball. We are going to copy the recessed lag bolt idea also. Looking forward to more videos.
That’s great! Yes he has! 🤣thank you! I will be putting more videos out soon!
You deserve way more subscribers. As a first time home owner this helped me out a lot
GeckoGuy, Thank you very much! I’m glad I was able to help! Thank you for watching!
👍👍 Two thumbs up for the little guy at the end of the video!!
Right on! Thank you!
Way to Go on the Trick Shots!!!
Well Done with the addition of the lag bolts!! That shed should last you well for many, many years!!!
Thank you kindly Mark! I greatly appreciate it!
A solid drill. Good power tools are everything with projects. Nicely done! Hubby and I are going to be building a wood shed in a few weeks and your videos really helped with ideas. Thank you and God bless! 🌿🍂
Absolutely, Milwaukee makes some really good tools. Thanks you so much I’m glad you found the videos helpful! God bless you and yours!
Impressive trick shot bud!
It blew me away when he showed me!!
Epic Trick Shot!!! My boys(9 and 11) will be seriously impressed.
Nice! My boy was 9 when he made those! I’ll let him know you guys liked it!
What a great video!
Thank you very much!! Thanks for watching!!
may the Force be with you. Your son clearly has it !
Heck yeah he does! 🙌🏼
Sturdy little woodshed. 2/2!!! Great shots young man!
I'll let him know ;) Thank you so much!
You do good work on your video as well as explaining what you are doing. Nothing wrong with making mistakes as long as you learn from them. I watch even though I know how to do this, just to see if I can learn anything new. Thanks for sharing
Good to hear Troy! Thank you for watching and for the kind comment!
I especially enjoyed watching your kids help and have fun playing-- great trick basketball shot! And the new GSD puppy looks like he'll be a useful dog because he's so interested in what you're doing-- teach him to bring you the hammer. The kids and dog are good bonuses to a duo of well-made construction videos. Thanks.
Thank you very much! I greatly appreciate the kind comment! You’re awesome Old Aunt Zibby!
Love this.
Thank you Jama!
Great idea to better support the floor!
Thank you kind sir!
Well done both of you
Thank you Richard!
That bad boy should go anywhere now! Nice build, I love the rustic look of it.
Thank you Marlon! I greatly appreciate it! 🙌🏼😎
Good followup video. I probably would have cut lap joints into the posts for strength, but your method will do fine. A little Dude Perfect at the end! Good job!
Heck yeah he’s a stud! Yeah that would have been a good method too!
We have learned to use lag bolts also, very fine wood shed
Thank you very much Kathleen!
Great work sir! love the build. Cant wait for the next video.
Thank you kind sir! I appreciate the support. It should be coming relatively soon!
So beautiful child's. Congratulations from the Canary islands Spain for your wonderful family. A new suscriber hope to see more small wood houses like this.
Angelita, what a pleasure to hear from Spain! Thank you for watching! Thank you for your kind comment God bless you!
Thumbs up for your boy's two in a row.
Thanks for the great video and I just hit the sub button. I like your style. Attention to detail and do the correct job the first time. A lot of people would skip over your part 2, but you built it correct and it should last many years.
Savage Patriot Thank you! I’ll tell him you said so! Thank you for the kind comment and the sub my friend. God bless!
Enjoyed watching both vids of the build. I built one a year ago behind the garage, next to the back fence, from salvaged fence panels, framed with treated 2 x 6's also from the fence, and a pallet floor and roof. Added a camo tarp on the roof and overhang. Used deck screws to assemble it. My total out of pocket cost was only for the deck screws.
Think I am going to redo some of the anchor points with lag screws, to strengthen it. It survived a small tornado passing overhead about a month ago, and 60 mph winds this past weekend, but a bit more stability won't hurt it, I guess. It is 4 ft deep by 4 ft wide by 6 ft high at the front and 5 ft high at the back - it stores my wheelbarrow and wood for my firepit.
Fair comment to you mate. I subscribed because you were a big enough man to admit you didn’t get it quite right the first time, take advice and we’re prepared to show everyone this honestly.
Thank you very much Big Pete! I really do care, and if others are going to build this from my design I want it to be right. Thank you for the sub and kind comment friend
Frank Does It no worries mate.
Good trick shot.
Thank you! I’ll tell him. He worked hard on that 😉
I made a similar woodshed although I put a door in it to keep the weather out & I painted it with red ochre paint (I'm in Finland) which really brought it to life. I put some oil in the paint also to waterproof it better. By the way you look very Finnish.....
Thats really cool English Muffin! I bet yours looks awesome! I may have some Finnish in me, not sure. I do know that I have some German and Scottish. Take care!
NICE FAMILY VIDEOS & NICE BUILD WITH GOOD IDEAS. GOSH ... YOU BUILD SO FAST !!!!!!!!
Thank you so much!
Great work.
Thank you!
Trick shot = 🤯
I’ll tell him, he worked super hard on that one!
awesome, God bless you,
Thank you Frenk! God bless you as well friend
I love the lag bolt, but once you have the wood in the shed, i do’t think that it will move
Yea for sure! It was more the support the floor rim joists with all that weight on them
Frank, fastenmaster makes a bolt called a thrulok that I've used and would work for a lot of projects where 4x4 posts are used. They work without pre drilling and are backed by a nut on the oposite side. Really solid. Your truly blessed with those kids. Great vids, thanks.
Really!? That sounds like an awesome fastener. I’m going to have to look into that! Thank you Gerald I greatly appreciate it!
@@FrankDoesIt Your welcome. Fastenmaster has a tutorial video on line for them. I used them for building a 4' wide 126' long raised bridge-pathway through the woods and over boulders to get to my waterfront. They worked great and saved me a ton of time.
Gerald B that’s awesome, great to know! Thanks again!
Great video . Nice trick shot . Beautiful doggie you have there . You're so lucky .
Thank you very much Henry! Thanks for watching!
Great job on the shots btw..
Nice shot kid!!!
One more suggestion. My woodshed I put in a center divider so that you can completely empty one side. That prevents you from having some really old wood way at the back of the shed that perhaps you may never get to. Alternatively, it keeps you from having to empty the remaining wood prior to putting the new stuff in. Just a thought. Great project and well built, thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your support Patrick and thank you for your suggestion. The only reason I didn’t bother with it is because I usually burn this much in a cold winter and would pretty much empty it. However last winter wasn’t so bad and I didn’t burn the whole lot and your suggestion would work out good for me in that situation. Thank you sir!
If you build a green wood holder make the back or one of the sides be able to open. Like make the wall all doors so you can rotate out seasoned or dry wood for more green. If you get laid up or if you have a really harsh winter a back 3 to 5 cords would be a godsend.
Good idea Quake, thank you!
Anyone, like me, who made the mistake of using screws on exposed horizontal flooring surface such as deck flooring knows overtime they disintegrate. However, since your shed is covered you would have been fine. The lag bolts will ensure your investment last longer. Anywhere you have a sheering force you will want to use a nail which you did when you used the hangers. Nice work! I subbed.
Samuel A Muñoz Thank you for the kind comment and the sub! I greatly appreciate it!
Godly, humble, engaged kids, cool dog...and did I see an OBS Ford pickup in the background?
Winning formula for your channel, IMHO.
I bought my materials earlier today, and start my firewood shed in the morning.
Thank you!
Great job !!! Your kid is awesome!!!
Thank you Michael! I'll tell him!
Good job man, and sweet trick shot kid!!!
Thank you kind sir!
I was a carpenter for 19 years and when I watched the first vid I was asking myself why you didn't notch your posts for your band boards or run a 2x down the side to the pier...and then I saw part 2 lol. Nicely done.
Thank you Chance! I greatly appreciate it. I don’t know what I was thinking on the 1st go around because the whole time I was designing it I had strength as most important... whoops 😉
@@FrankDoesIt you worked it out, it's good. Best of all you have some great helpers and beautiful land and many blessings to come. I'm happy for you all.
Chance Carlton thank you kind sir, I couldn’t agree more, I am a blessed man. Take care
That will do it!
Thank you sir!
Good job! Especially like your demonstration of parenting with your fine children.
Thank you so much! They are a huge blessing!
You did a great job increasing the strength of the shed BUT your kid just killed me with his reaction to making the baskets. Lol.
Hahaha he worked so hard on that! Thank you!!
Stumbled across your channel. Impressive work, I love the look of the repurposed wood siding. Even more impressed with your ability to take suggestions and improve on your work. I have a daughter around her age, a german shepherd, and I recently built a storage shed. It wouldn't be right if I didn't sub. Keep it up friend!
Thats awesome friend! I greatly appreciate it! Sounds like we're cut from the same cloth! Thank you for your support!
Another excellent vid bro. Well done! And what an incredible trick shot at the end! Winning at dadlife man! 😁
Heck yeah buddy he worked hard on that 😂 thank you so much!
That trick shot was pretty darn cool. I could see the reason why he made the back to back shots was that he didn't really think about the shots... he felt them. In the end the moral of the story is that in any art form it is best to not think too much about it and to just feel it. Take care. sincerely, Dean O. :-I
Nice Dean, I like it! I'll let him know!
Great video..glad you made a follow-on video to revise oversights. Rare you'll find someone that'll do that on youtube..everyone's infallible on youtube it seems.
wxfield thank you very much for saying that, I greatly appreciate your support! I’ll never be the type to not admit my mistakes, I don’t want someone to build this and see it fail because I overlooked something. Take care friend.
Awesome ending. Brand new sub here just today found the first video. Greetings from ocean city Maryland.
Thank you very much Wayne! Greetings from Washington State!
Very Nice! Going to use this as guide to build my own. While mulling it over last night, I thought "maybe use lags on the supports"...
Thank you very much Wally! You should make one! Lags are a great idea ;)
Two in a row - amazing!!! That made me laugh!
Thank you! It made his day!
You could drive a mack truck in there now. Hahahah. Looks good. We just taught our 11 year old son to weld so it is good to see him working with you too. Two in a row!
Thats great! I enjoy welding, it is a good skill to know! Thank you for the kind comment. He'll love it!
I hope your adult dog is ok. That was a really cool dog.
Yes! Brice is a really good dog. He is still with us, he was just laying in the shade 😂
Awesome hoop shots young man!
I'll let him know! Thank you Otto
Just seen recommended for you so I watched these two wood shed videos. Very good videos my friend, you taking suggestions from your audience and actually putting it out in another video is key to success. Not saying you need to do a complete new video on it but even acknowledging it during the next video will grow your audience. Stay true to yourself and your audience and you’ll have MANY FOLLOWERS!! Don’t listen or fall into the trap of the internet keyboard warriors out there as many of the channel guys/gals I follow have by getting into it with these types of ppl. They’re not worth it and only try and cause havoc on good ppl like yourself, probably because they’re not motivated or they don’t have a life to start their own. Great job, keep up the good work!!
Hey Dave, thank you so much for the well thought out kind comment! I appreciate everything you said! I really do care to connect with my audience and let them know that if I make a mistake, I will admit it... mostly because that’s who I am as a person, but also I would hate for someone to replicate my build and have theirs fall apart in a year because I made that mistake and didn’t tell them. I’ve had a troll or two stop by, but for the most part it has been great people such as yourself. I don’t pay any mind to the trolls, I appreciate the advice. Take care my friend!
I would get a tarp or some plastic and make a curtain to keep the snow from blowing and getting the wood wet and possibly frozen together. Great job.
Thank you Quake!
Or just make some simple doors that swing out leaving an air gap at the top?
This is a really cool build. I'm not sure how, but I just found your channel and I'm glad I did. Just subscribed too. That pup is awesome man, you can tell he already loves the hell out of you lol. Take care, from Canada!
He’s such a cool pup. Sadly he was hit by a car 😢 I now have his little brother though and he is a great dog! Thank you for the kind words and for the sub! You’re awesome! 👊🏼
Great video, definitely some good tips I hope to use for some decking I plan to build as well as possibly same shop as you. One thing, looks like Bodie distracted you around 6:38 mark, you forgot the lags on the front left corner! LOL
That would be great! You should! LOL yeah he did ;) since the floor is directly on that block it was pointless to lag it ;)
I Truly got a lot of great info out of the 2 videos. New subscriber looking forward to learning more good stuff from ya! Beautiful country you live in, where are you from? I'm from SoCal but headed towards Johnson City Texas to build my fabrication business and youth & young adult missions ministry. Gonna live in the Boondocks and serve the Lord!
That is great brother Brady! I'm happy for you I'll be praying for your ministry. I'm glad you liked the videos. Thank you for watching and subscribing! I am from Northeast WA. Thank you for your comment friend. God bless!
Great video! The Lord bless you and the family! Use the shed in good health!
