It was $799 at the time of my order....so that was an extra bonus for me! 😊 Thank you for the great video explaining all of these tv's features/ benefits. I was planning on going with the 75" until I you brought up the difference in the refresh rate between that & the 85".
Samsung S90D has been $1399 for close to 2 weeks at Best Buy, Amazon, Costco, and the Samsung website besides other places. Should have been S tier at that price. I just got mine from Costco with a 5 year warranty at that price.
I've never owned the TCL brand. Now I have the TCL 98in be8ing delivered this Friday!!! I found your review on the TCL 98in very helpful, and thank you for that. Good video and Thumbs-up! ~John
Best deal of the year was the 75" TCL Q691 (an upgraded Costco specific version of the Q681, which is better than the Q651) for a clearance price of $400 at Costco. It's way brighter, with much better sound and a longer warranty than the Q651. If any Costco warehouses have them left, THAT is the TV to grab this season!
100%. I picked up the 85" X90L here in Australia for $1750 USD including tax. Amazing TV. With the money I saved from going B7/B9, grabbed a UB450 player and about 50 4k blurays to kick start the collection. HDR/Dolby Vision looks incredible.
Hi Brian, I appreciate your video. Some people think 18 is a lot but it gives a lot of context, in my opinion. I see you think the TCL Q651G is a great value buy. Have you ever looked at the Q681G? Similar specs but with full array local dimming. I replaced my 85”Q651G with it, and I think it was a great choice. Currently going for $999 on amazon.
I just bought the 98" TCL QM7 from Best Buy for $2,000. So they must have dropped the price since you made this video or it's just cheaper in my region of the country.

Just ordered an 85" QN90D for $1792 out the door. Delivery by December 11. You can't beat that deal with any other TV IMO. Best bang for the buck period.
Got the X90L in 85’ last year and have no regrets! Convinced the in laws to grab the 75’! Great tv for the living room. Considering the Qm7 for the bedroom.
The b4 has four hdmi 2.1 ports. I know because I scooped one two weeks ago. I was dead set on a 65 in c4, but I could get a 77 in b4 for $100 more than a 65 in c4. They’re close enough in performance where the extra size outweighs the extra brightness, which isn’t that significant. On the other hand, 12 in is a big deal
Great video Brian. One quick correction...There are only 3 generations thus far of the Samsung QD OLEDs. The first gen was the S95B. The second gen was the S90C & S95C. And the 3rd gen models are the S90D & S95D. I'm guessing we can all expect that Samsung will come out with their 4th gen QD OLEDs in 2025.
Prices seem to change daily online. I held off for the LG C4 77” for a heck of a deal. $1599 with a 2 year warranty. Walmart only had a handful at that price. I feel like I scored. Never thought buying a tv would be so hard.
Wow that’s a good price. I waited on the Sony A80J a few years ago and got it for I believe $1299 for a 65”. I have to check. Maybe it was more. But yeah that’s a great deal in a very nice size OLED

@@jdotnic Is there a reason for the bias? Honest question. I hadn't looked TOO much into the S90D cuz I'm very happy with my S90C and the little I saw when it first came out made it seem like the D was essentially a carryover model. Is there anything you know of that makes it perceiveably better than the S90C? Like if price weren't a factor is there anything that separates the D?
Just bought TCL 98 Q6 for $1449. LOVE IT! I've always had projectors. For watching movies, hard to beat a 150" 4k projector in a dark room. But for convenience and general viewing, I'd rather have this.
Upgraded my LG OLED 55C9 to the 65C4. Went with LG OLED because I already had a 55C1, 77C1, and 48C4 with Sonos soundbars. I didn't want to take a chance with cable box remote integration, audio differences with Sonos, calibrating for similar imagine quality, different view angles, or different issues with updates over the years.
Thanks for your channel🤘🏼. I'm in doubt between the Samsung S90D and QN90D, both 65", as 77" is 500 Eur more (Portugal-Europe). The use will be movies, sports and streaming. You can tell me your preference, with image quality as a priority? If you prefer other alternatives, I would be grateful. All the best for you and your family
If you can afford it just buy the SONY A95L i was very lucky and purchased last year the SONY XR-65A80L for £999.99 and its the best TV I've ever owned i had the LG C3 65" and didn't like it got the SONY XR-65A80L and it's way better more cinematic more colourful better upscaling and better motion i can only imagine what the SONY A95L would look like and yes i know it's dependant on your living space ie in a bright or dark room and my SONY XR-65A80L isn't the brightest TV out there but my room isn't flooded with lots of light
I bought the hisense 100 inch u76n for black friday at 1799. Fantastic deal for a 100 inch tv thats 144hz,quantum dot color,800 nits brightness and 256 local dimming zones. Its better than the 75 inch vizio p series it replaced. Which was a higher end tv for a vizio. Testers got about 140k to 1 contrast with local dimming on high. Very good for that price and size. Nobody has any reviews on this tv which kinda sucks. Its not the same tv as a u7n being its full array led and not mini led. So its really its own unique tv and there is zero reviews on it.
I currently have a 77” S90C and I’m looking to upgrade to a 98” tv without breaking the bank. Recommendations? Currently looking at the QM7, U8K, or an 85” mini led tv.
I bought a Samsung s90d 65" for $1118 plus tax, and since it's paid with PayPal, I get 5% back on chase freedom cc, so it's gonna be $1175 net out the door.... Hold my beer....you still got a good deal...
@Anurania I debated for 5 days and pulled the trigger yesterday. It'll come this weekend. I figure with the 24 month financing (with the BB credit card) and the extended holiday return, it's worth trying it out. 😄
I just got my 98” QM7 delivered yesterday. I originally got the Q6. Had it for a little over a week and noticed the brightness just wasn’t there. The QM7 fixed that AND the overall picture quality destroys the Q6. Not even close.
I bought an open box Sony A95L which made it about the same price as the LG G4 I like it better...but to me its not the difference in their standard pricing I also look at these Hisense U8 and TCL QM8....the performance metrics for these are off the chart for the price.
You’re going to notice a huge difference in the screen size, even if the picture quality was the same. I would also expect the U8n to be much brighter with better contrast and black levels.
Grabbed an LG G4 65 inch from LG for $1415 after taxes. Brand New. Incredible deal from their partner/edu website. Turns out it was a price mistake! But they are honoring it!
We had at UK Costco the Samsung QE65S90D for a total cost of ...........wait for it!!!! £975 after claiming Sumsung special offer of £150 cashback. It sold out in one day. The 55" could be got for £650 after claiming the cashback. Several comments reckoned someone made a pricing error.
Happy Thanksgiving. You made a great video on the best tier list. This is a better video than from like 2 years ago that you put all the 55" TV at the very end and no time stamps. I'm still shocked that you even point out 55" Tv's. The bigger TV's on your channel is geared to your customers that need installation with their A/V home theater set up.
LG QNED90T 86" at 1799 is pretty good, its huge, picture is great, a lot of high quality screen space for the money. I have a C3 77" Oled and the QNED90T 86" and i enjoy them both. Oled has a slight edge but the bigger size is really fun too.
First of all, thanks for the amazing information. What would you recommend for one that I can put a VPN on (living abroad) and stream content on like Direct TV and Paramount+? According to my VPN service, the TV needs to run Android or Google Play. Also having the option to connect bluetooth speakers and/or earbuds?
Thanks for the analysis! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
@@ricome169 "When it comes to local dimming, the rule really is the more dimming zones, the better. More dimming zones allow TVs to better control backlighting and produce deeper, more natural black-levels" It also creates less blooming effects.
i bought the 65 inch S90D for $1300 and immediately returned it the next day when i saw the S90C on sale for $999. threw in a 2 year warranty and got the best deal i’ve seen so far on an OLED
@colbert6122 the only issue I have is the motion handling mate. Need to play with the settings to fix it. Picture quality is amazing if you stream 4k content
Excellent list. Thank you. Just picked up the Hisense U8N 65", and I absolutely LOVE IT. It's not super hard to impress me as i just came from a 10 year old Insignia LED 48". That was already solid enough for me. The black levels are IMMACULATE for the price on the U8N. I am a person who values value over quality, but i still want something that's current with some of the latest tech. Thanks again! Edit to add: i picked it up on its black friday sale price for $899, plus i had some BBY certificates. Our the door, $679, AFTER taxes. Even at sale price alone, $899 was a 40% discount vs TCL QM8 for $999 at 30% off.
It would be great also just ranking the TVs based on pure functionality, performance, and reliability. Some people don’t mind spending money if they can get the best.
Right now it is sitting in my cart and I am so afraid to click that button. I have a RCA 65inch and did the measure and damn the TLC is huge. 86 inch across and 49 inches height
Great video. I purchase a new television every 5 to 7 years, so I’m not looking for value. I’m looking for the BEST. So this coming spring, I’ll be picking up a Bravia 9.
100% this. Own a G2, a C4 and a B4. The B4 is damn close to indistinguishable for 95% of what we watch. The C4 and the G2 clip it on HDR but the minimal step up in quality doesn't match the price difference. My jaw dropped when i saw the B4 77 at 1,599.
I have an LG OLED55C6V, brilliant TV purchased 8 years ago.. Still perfect.. OLED wins all day long.. TCL & Hisense have cheaper components, so don't expect them to last so long..
I owned the G4. Returned it and got the S90D. The s90D is a better picture. G4 has better build quality but picture looks washed out. If the LG had a quantum dot display then I would go G4. WOLED is old tech. The QD OLED picture is superior
Im an oled guy. But id like to get an u8n because of the price and size. If get one it will be a big step down over oled talkong about oled or is it somehow close? And i have a s90d 55" so inwouldnt be without oled sonit would be a good idea to have both words. The 55" in my bedroom and u8n 85" iny living room or is it better to spend more and get a smaller 77" oled tv?
It's not a step down, really. It's just different. Much brighter, some minimal blooming as LED tvs have. But mostly it's fantastic and less expensive. We use it for gaming and its awesome. I'd get the bigger screen over OLED most of the time
interesting new way of ranking these TV's, and you are sure to ruffle some fanboy feathers. With inflation sky rocketing, these are all luxury purchases that are outdated within 12-24 months already as TV Tech continously evolves. Price is the smartest way to go about these purchases, for me the S90D takes the cake as the best TV Purchase in 2024. Next year it's gonna be even more obvious once Samsung launches their 83" line of QD Oleds. 🔥
I've had the Hisense u7n 75" in mind but I'm concerned about the brand reliability can anyone tell me about their experience? If not then I'll go with the oled C4 but 65"
I paid way too much for a Bravia 8..got mine in august, its about 500$ cheaper now. Now im looking for a new living room tv. Looking at 55in Qled, or Neo Qled. Trying for a cheaper option, not sure what to grab.
The big problem with buy a Samsung is their quality control is terrible so their TVs fail a lot more often after several years when warranty is gone. Also, their customer support for warranties is abysmal. It is a high risk high reward gambit.
The U8N 55" was a steal for me. I had a free $150.00 gift card I applied to my purchase. I got mine for $599.00. For TV with a regular sale price was $1100. I saved $500.. I also have the Samsung Buds 3 Pro. At the end of December I will have them paid off. The Ultra Pro watch is on my list in March. I'll use my tax refund to make the buy plus I want the price to drop more. I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 FE with 5G
I thought the Samsung S90C is second generation QD OLED. For me, the $2,000 85-inch Sony X90L falls within that perfect sweetspot when it comes to price, size, and performance. For that price, you have to pick your poison. While the similarly priced Hisense U8N and TCL QM8 excel in brightness and include at least 1,000 dimming zones, they're not as good with color accuracy, PQ EOTF tracking, HDR gradiant handling, etc., like the X90L. If you want the strengths of the Sony X90L, Hisense U8N, and TCL QM8 in one TV, that's where the Sony Bravia 7 or Bravia 9 would come in. I can't afford both. As a musician, I prefer performance and accuracy over volume and brightness. So it was the Sony X90L for me. Now that the Sony X95L has been replaced, I wonder if major retailers would get rid of the 85-inch one for $2,000. Just a thought.
TCL and Hisense both under perform when it comes to reliability. Great picture quality for the price, but I dont want to have to replace it in a couple of years. Stay with Sony, LG and Samsung.
14:30, a little bit more expensive, seriously? Dude, if that thing drops in India for $999, then it sell like hot cakes. One of my friends is importing the 98 inch QM8 to india via some courier shipping company & overall cost he is estimated to incur is $7000, including TV cost & he is mighty happy about it still. 98 inch Samsung Q90D costs almost $17,000 here in india, for which you people are getting TCL 115-inch model(along with a Nagamichi dragon sound bar). Aaaahh, I am jealous of US & its deals 😢😢😢

Yea agreed... it's just my personal bias lolol. I too would tell someone to go for the C if they can find one.
Possibly the worst ranked... especially it priced reduced.
Thank you. Been waiting for this video
I wanna buy a 98" tv but in europe we dont have those WM8 etc. Which is best video quality from this 2 tclC855 or hisense U7N?
Sony Bravia B9 for the win 🏆 🙌 I love my 75-inch.
Indeed, I love my 85-inch Bravia 9.
Just bought 85 inch last night! Can’t wait to unbox it
@@vgnvideogameninja2930 I am struggling between LG G4 83" and Bravia 9 85"....Please tell me to go for the Bravia? 😉😄
@divontayswing6900 Awesome! Get a chance leave a reply after you get it.
@ just mounted it up. Stunning picture quality. I’m adjusting picture settings right now. So far professional mode seems the best!
What happened to the audio around 8:36? It switched mic? 🤔
Yeah mic quit. Scratch audio. Definitely too much to do over. Can't redo perfection. or I'm lazy. 💪
Would you pick the 65" QM7 or 75" Q6, both at the same price?
Nice… but I just went with the 77’ G4…sometimes you have to treat yourself and go big!
Nothing can't beat my deal 999$ 65" for s90c 😂
Hold my beer. Just got an 85" QN90D for $1792.79 after tax.
I missed that deal and now Best Buy straight up deleted the page!!!
I bought a Samsung s90d 65" for $1118 plus tax, and since it's paid with PayPal, I get 5% back on chase freedom cc, so it's gonna be $1175 net out the door....
Hold my beer....you still got a good deal...
A quality tv will beat your poor man's tv every day of the week. Did the tv also come with a discount coupon to Walmart and a free cheeseburger 🍔😂😂😂
😂😂😂@@Meda01
Some of your prices need to be updated. For example, the 98" QM7 is only $1999.99. 😊
It is tempting. That price also includes free set up or mounting, which is useful for something so big and heavy, and free pick up if you return it.
That will happen. Good deal. 👍
I bought an open box Sony A95L which made it about the same price as the LG G4
I like it better...but to me its not the difference in their standard pricing
I also look at these Hisense U8 and TCL QM8....the performance metrics for these are off the chart for the price.
Hi, I'm coming from 5 year old 65" Vizio P65F1. Id like to upgrade to a 85" U8N. Is it a good/worth it upgrade?
You’re going to notice a huge difference in the screen size, even if the picture quality was the same. I would also expect the U8n to be much brighter with better contrast and black levels.
It will blow it out of the water. You're going to be extremely happy with it.
I bought the TCL Black Friday 75 inch. Although nice, I want “soap opera effect” on my tv and it’s not there 😢
I completely agree only I bought mine four months ago … now I’m in search of a TV that will give me that effect😅😅😅. At least we know now.
@ man I thought I was the only one lol. My girlfriend has an LG and hers is just like that.
@@ApexTheDon please let me know the LG she has…. I’m really considering putting this TV somewhere else in the house and getting what I want…
if a TV cost over $400 I don't want it or need it yes I have the money I'm just not dumb enough to pay that much for a TV
Grabbed an LG G4 65 inch from LG for $1415 after taxes. Brand New. Incredible deal from their partner/edu website. Turns out it was a price mistake! But they are honoring it!
wow i paid 1900 pounds for a 55 inch g4 6 months ago u got a bargain
$2300 85 inch QN90D or $2500 85 inch Bravia 7 ? Which one would you buy for a very large high ceiling living room with alot of windows ?
How reliable is the hisense u7n ? I see alot of good stuff on the tv but im worried about how long they last for
We had at UK Costco the Samsung QE65S90D for a total cost of ...........wait for it!!!! £975 after claiming Sumsung special offer of £150 cashback. It sold out in one day. The 55" could be got for £650 after claiming the cashback. Several comments reckoned someone made a pricing error.
B, what is your opinion on the S84D OLED? currently $1700 off at Best Buy.. Surprised it didn't make the list
I just got the lg c4 as my first oled can’t wait for the experience
U8N has way less dimming zones than the QM8 at 75"+
Good to know. I don't notice any legit difference in dimming in those. Both good tvs
that does not make an ounce of difference. dimming zones is not everything.
@@BTheInstaller np, just figured i'd point it out, both great TVs.

I'm getting 65" delivered on NYE !!
@colbert6122 congratulations!!
@@chembsajin5235 how has your experience of the QM7 been?
I just bought the 50" Q6 for my bedroom and it is just fantastic.
It would be great also just ranking the TVs based on pure functionality, performance, and reliability. Some people don’t mind spending money if they can get the best.
Liked and subscribed! Thank you
Late to the party.. ordering Best Buy (Canada) TCL Q6 98 inch $ 2499.00 reg. Price $5000 50% off black friday deal on west coast.. your thoughts B?
Right now it is sitting in my cart and I am so afraid to click that button. I have a RCA 65inch and did the measure and damn the TLC is huge. 86 inch across and 49 inches height
I want the Sony A95L, but as you said, the Bravia 8 gets you 90% of the way there for half the price.
The bravia 8 panel is not that impressive
The samsung s90D has a far superior panel.
I saw them today.
This is just screen size per dollar. The best TV for the money right now is the LG B4 or Sony Bravia 7. No question....bang for buck.
The u76n isn't a mini LED but I've seen some good reviews about it. 100 inch QLED wit all the gaming features of the u7n and u8n
Could you please tell me the difference between U7 and U8 Hisense. I am looking for 85” but price difference is $400.00
Great video. I purchase a new television every 5 to 7 years, so I’m not looking for value. I’m looking for the BEST. So this coming spring, I’ll be picking up a Bravia 9.
77 B4 for 1599 is by far the best deal overall
100% this. Own a G2, a C4 and a B4. The B4 is damn close to indistinguishable for 95% of what we watch. The C4 and the G2 clip it on HDR but the minimal step up in quality doesn't match the price difference. My jaw dropped when i saw the B4 77 at 1,599.
Excellent review
I have an LG OLED55C6V, brilliant TV purchased 8 years ago.. Still perfect..
OLED wins all day long..
TCL & Hisense have cheaper components, so don't expect them to last so long..
If Budget is a $1000 & wanting a 65in, how would we rank these? LG B3, Sony X90L, Samsung S90C? Thanks guys! Love the videos, they're super helpful
Personally, I would get the S90c then b3 then Sony x90l last.
@@BTheInstallerThanks! I appreciate the reply.
I owned the G4. Returned it and got the S90D.
The s90D is a better picture.
G4 has better build quality but picture looks washed out. If the LG had a quantum dot display then I would go G4. WOLED is old tech. The QD OLED picture is superior
I cannot decide if should I take Samsung 65” s90D or LG 65” c4, can u help me decide ?
Your getting more value dollar per dollar with the Samsung. Just be advised of the quality control issues Samsung has.
@ what kind of quality control issues do u mean ?

Is Hisense 85’’ QD6 for $649 at Best Buy a better tv than TCL Q6 85’’?
@@KobyGarick-h9w online reviews prefer TCL Q6 > Hisense QD6
Im an oled guy. But id like to get an u8n because of the price and size. If get one it will be a big step down over oled talkong about oled or is it somehow close? And i have a s90d 55" so inwouldnt be without oled sonit would be a good idea to have both words. The 55" in my bedroom and u8n 85" iny living room or is it better to spend more and get a smaller 77" oled tv?
It's not a step down, really. It's just different. Much brighter, some minimal blooming as LED tvs have. But mostly it's fantastic and less expensive. We use it for gaming and its awesome. I'd get the bigger screen over OLED most of the time
@BTheInstaller im really thinking about getting the u8n. Than you for your time.
interesting new way of ranking these TV's, and you are sure to ruffle some fanboy feathers. 🔥
S90d may be the best top end tv
I've had the Hisense u7n 75" in mind but I'm concerned about the brand reliability can anyone tell me about their experience? If not then I'll go with the oled C4 but 65"
I LOVE Hisense. My last tv was a Hisense. My daughter liked it so much she just bought it from me.
I paid way too much for a Bravia 8..got mine in august, its about 500$ cheaper now.
Now im looking for a new living room tv. Looking at 55in Qled, or Neo Qled. Trying for a cheaper option, not sure what to grab.
You can get a great hiaense or tcl 55 for that $500, not saving 500. That is something.

The big problem with buy a Samsung is their quality control is terrible so their TVs fail a lot more often after several years when warranty is gone. Also, their customer support for warranties is abysmal. It is a high risk high reward gambit.
