I'm getting mine out next Friday which is November 8th 2019. My dentist told me I had extra teeth than normal people and when I went for my consultation they told me my extra teeth were my wisdom teeth. I'm getting six teeth pulled not four six. Four on the top and two on the bottom. I'm thankful that my extra ones aren't on the bottom. This video has helped me a lot and now I am not that worried about going anymore. The thing I will hate the most is the gaze and the stitches. :)
I woke up totally lucid! I got completely anesthetized and my oral surgeon said most girls wake up crying and most guys wake up swinging lol. I woke up totally fine just completely numb! I got all 4 of mine out about 21 hours ago and I’m having a GREAT recovery so far! I’m allowed to and have been eating whatever I want except no crunchy stuff! Been icing my face, taking my meds, and eating a crap ton of food lol. But I also had an adult tonsillectomy in 2017 when I was 20 (which is known to be one of the worst recoveries of any surgery when you’re an adult!) so I had really bad expectations for this lol granted it’s only been 21 hours post op but I hope it stays this good! I’m 22 now and still living at home but in a camper behind my parents house so I get my own apartment but my mom can also take care me! It’s great honestly
Its day 7 right now, I didn't have any stitches in any of the spots where my teeth were. Right now I'm just worried about getting a dry socket but so far so good, still being very careful of what I eat and also making sure to use salt water. As well as brushing my teeth to make sure no food gets stuck
I had mine taken out two days ago and honestly the worst part was waiting for my face to not be numb because I had difficulty swallowing medicine because I couldn’t feel my tongue. After that there is some soreness but you just take the prescribed motrin
I got one more wisdom tooth to go . I barely swelled and I didn’t even need pain medication . I just used moltrin and I didn’t even need it after 24 hours . I maybe took two my entire recovery . I’m very thankful I was lucky enough to be like this . I’m 3 weeks after now .
thank god mines so far is going by good. DO NO RINSE, BRUSH in the first 24 hours. and DO NOT suck on straws OR smoke in like a month just in case. HAVE COLD THINGS LIKE PUDDING, APPLE SAUSE, ICE CREAM!! MILKSHAKES (NO STRAW) and you will be fine if u repeat it, oh and smoothies. i’m in day 2 and i feel good

Getting all 4 of mine taken out tomorrow! I’m getting knocked out, so that’s good haha. A bit nervous about the knockout part, but I have to do it anyways lol. Hopefully the recovery will be fine for me, I already have a schedule of what I am going to do.
Thank you for Sharing your story on your experience with your wisdom teeth removed from your point of view, because I am getting mine removed this Friday! Anyone who has ever had their wisdom teeth removed could give me advice and tips?
Loved watching this video, it helped me and put me at ease a lot with the recovery stage. I only took 2 doses of pain killers after surgery and the morning after but that was it, didn't feel pain apart from a few aches here or there within the first 12 hours. I had an unusual case too as my wisdom teeth were constantly getting infected and an abscess formed which no anti biotic could get rid of. I was in a lot of pain with my wisdom teeth for about 6 months on and off before the surgery. I went through a hell of a lot more pain with my wisdom teeth before hand than I did with the actual surgery part! It's really not bad, it's just the after stage which is the worst as you have to really be careful and follow instructions to not cause any problems or dry sockets. My stitches came out too after 1 day, but it's normal. I just really need to keep following the after care instructions now. Thanks!
Hi Ruby, My name is Ruby also and just watched your video. I'm a little nervous about the wisdom tooth removal process that I'll have very soon. Thanks for the video and the great information. Your positivity is awesome. Thanks again.
U can drink water around 2 and half hours prior of surgery it just shouldn't be a lot a few sips or so is fine. The water you drink can literally be 50% gone from ur stomach within ten to 20 minutes
I just got my wisdom teeth out 3 days ago and I did not ice my face at all. and the swelling went down after 5 hours. lol and I didn’t have any pain but my dentist told me to keep taking the medicine until it’s gone but honestly I’m thinking about just stopping since I never really had any pain.

I think he had got mad and distracted and that was the one thing I knew I was going to have a problem with and he screwed up.
