    I’ve had so many dental experiences including crowns, cavities, and a root canal but this surgery is something that has terrified me since I was told as a kid it was something that needed to be done. I’m scheduled to get them out next month and the whole process of anesthesia is what really scares me, this video definitely helped calm my nerves slightly about that so thank you so much for this it really helped

    When I got my wisdom teeth removed I remember they numbed my cheeks/gums and lost my sense to swallow. I was awake through the process. I felt like I was gonna die because I couldn't swallow and legit had a full on panic attack and started sweating. lol I wish they could've gave me anesthesia instead. The nurse was like just "breath through your nose" I was like so embarrassed b/c she was looking at me like I was crazy. Looking back I just laugh..

    Can you actually feel the IV? I hate needles so much and I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed on Wednesday. I'm quite scared.

    Hi I’m here in 2024, I have to have all 4 wisdom teeth, 3 molars and a K9 pulled😬. I have severe anxiety and panic disorder. For anyone that doesn’t know what that’s like, imagine your worst fear x that by 10 and imagine that it’s the end for you, like the end of your life. That’s what it feels like for me. So yea every once in a while I’m like, I’ll live I’ll be soar but I’ll live, next min I’m freaking out crying in a panic. Ahhh sucks 🤞🏻I hope everything goes well.

    You people are fortunate. Can't say the same about me. My family have a genetic seed that loses all the theeths. My grandpa died with no theeh. So as my mom and my aunt that they have more than half of their theeh pulled out before they have 60 years old. I'm so scared of my own fate now.

      @Barcoofius Cusa honestly I gave myself a really bad scare and it wasn’t all that bad .. lol all u do is lay down they give you shots and 15 min later all my wisdom teeth were out .. I went home looking like a chipmunk. I chose local anesthesia because I felt it was best for me .. to be aware after the surgery was finished ..the doctors know what they are doing ...so if you struggle it takes them longer .. and the surgery will take longer lol .. I also prayed to Jesus so that helped a lot too with my nerves .. also meditating on a good memory / or god helps too ..

    My fear is waking up during the operation. I pray that I don't because I'm afraid that the pain will be to immense for me to handle. Not too many things scare me but this one is way up there for sure.

      +Dyllon Galan The orthodontic surgeons totally have it figured out so they know how much to give you! Also even on the off chance that you were to wake up they have your mouth completely numbed so you wouldn't feel anything and they'd just put you back under!

      Thanks for the response. You're info helped me feel a little better about it. I have to get mine out in the near future and I'm just not looking forward to it but this helped me out. Thank you.

    I've panicked at the dentist too before...I even bit the dentists hand. It didn't go well. They never offered meds like that. I've been put under too for my wisdom teeth and it wasn't a great experience. I liked your video and your advice. Very useful for anyone who has anxiety about this.

    I'm getting mine out Monday morning and I'm so incredibly anxious. I've had so many bad experiences with needles and doctors and I'm completely psyching myself out for it ugh.
    This definitely helped calm me down a bit though. So thank you so much. Hopefully everything works out 😬

      +NotSoFabLauren did you have all 4 removed? and what route did you go as concerns anesthesia? the anesthesia part has me most nerved up. ugh

    • @acrosstheuniverse8354
      @acrosstheuniverse8354 8 лет назад +7

      I did have all four out! It was general anesthesia, so I was completely knocked out for the whole thing. I was a nervous wreck about getting mine out for MONTHS before the actual procedure. I went into the office shaking and on the verge of tears...and remember essentially nothing. They put a mask over my face, numbed my arm and put an IV in (if you're concerned about needles, you won't even feel it I promise). The last thing I remember is leaning back in the chair and then all of a sudden I was awake and being walked back to my mom's car.
      I'm not gonna lie, it's a bit unnerving to not remember a whole chunk of my life. But I survived it alright lol.
      I promise, as horrible and unbearable as it is, you will be entirely okay again after all of this is said and done.
      I wish you the best!

      how was the post op pain for you? did you receive novocane even though you went under general? i hate the numbness that im familiar with from cavity fillings!! lol. what should i expect upon waking up considering i will go to sleep one way and will wake up in a totally different way? i mean it sounds like an insane concept...go to sleep one way...wake up with teeth ripped out. talk about being caught off guard haha. im also in extreme pain waiting to get mine taken out so as nervous as i am i almost cant wait. thank you for the kind words.

    • @rubyray3781
      @rubyray3781  8 лет назад +1

      +Debra Puckett I didn't even notice the numbness at all! Even if you can feel the numbness you will definitely be able to swallow okay!
