  • Ep11, Day 18/ 3,500 mile dual sport camping adventure. Riding my DR650 from Arco, Idaho I join westward tracks across south central Idaho, the Lost River Range, through Sunriver and into the Sawtooth Mountains. Fatigue and a momentary lack of attention ends in near disaster. I pitch camp along the river to assess my injuries and life choices!

This is one of the best ADV rider series on RUclips. Most of them have good video but yours includes a lot of valuable info for us folks who are in the planning stages of similar trips. Simply stating the dates for the trip and the temperatures experienced along with your weather comments is huge. All comments on tire choices, maintenance issues, etc. are valuable. Thanks for a great series.

I've been adventure riding since my dad removed the training wheels from my bicycle. You're a inspiration to me. I'm 65 now and just recently coming out of 9 years of injuries, surgeries & recoveries. My number one motivation has been to get back in the saddle again. This is my year! FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn Joe, close call on the road, your reflexes and the grace of God are why your still here. You have to wear the gear, there is no way around it. That being said, just a beautiful trip through Idaho, the mountain roads were spectacular, and the ending campfire scene is just beautiful. Your music and the editing superb have become a master of RUclips.

Another great video Joe! I like the fact that you are not in a hurry and just enjoying the beauty of the ride. Glad you were OK after that incident. There is something to be said for traveling alone out in a beautiful place on a DR650. The simplicity of it all is soul refreshing. Excellent series!

Watched the entire video because the VERBAL WIDGET sent me here. While trying not to get too long winded, just a wonderful video, ride, etc. I understand all too well what it must have taken to edit such a beast of a ride. Great job !!!

Was out this way late June 2022 with the kids, made a loop of Idaho up through Ketchum, Stanley, Salmon, Missoula, Couer dAlene. Amazing country. Glad you avoided death!

Not out here to set ant speed records is correct. You have it figured out. Enjoy the scenery along the way.

Hey Jr. Joe from Colville Washington. I watch a lot of offroad motorcycle stuff and I also like Itchy Boots as well. And I must say, you do a great job on your videos. Some just don't talk. You take us with you. That is a big difference. Like the post before mine, ditto. The day of the trip, the weather of the trip, where to stay not to stay, who we should say hi to if we see them, all info that us other riders are looking for.
