  • Efteling Review, VLOG, and a guide to visiting one of the best amusement parks in the World. Efteling is a theme park located in Europe, in the Netherlands, which is known for its fairytale-themed attractions and rides. It is one of the oldest theme parks in the world, having opened its doors in 1952. The park is based on the stories and characters of Dutch and European folklore, with a range of attractions for all ages, from thrilling roller coasters to gentle boat rides. Some of the most popular attractions at Efteling include the fairy tale forest, the roller coasters Python and Baron 1898, Joris en de Draak, and the dark ride, "Droomvlucht." Efteling is a popular tourist destination in the Netherlands, attracting millions of visitors each year. #efteling #rollercoasters #guide #tour #europe #themeparks

    If you're planning a visit to Efteling, here are some tips to help you make the most of your trip:
    1. Buy your tickets in advance.
    2. Arrive early: Efteling is a popular theme park, so it can get crowded. Arriving early will give you more time to explore the park and enjoy the attractions without long lines.
    3. Wear comfortable shoes: Efteling is a large park with a lot of walking.
    4. Plan your route: Efteling is divided into several themed areas, so plan your route in advance to make sure you don't miss any of the attractions you want to see. Like Villa Volta, Symbolica, and Droomvlucht.
    5. Don't miss the shows: Efteling has several shows throughout the day. Make sure to check the schedule and plan your day around the shows you want to see.

    0:39 actually Efteling had even more visitors than Disneyland Park in 2020 at 2.9 million. This was obviously because covid restrictions were stricter in both France and Germany compared to us, but it's still interesting to think that Efteling has actually been the most visited park of Europe at one point.

    • @PeterRoscal
      @PeterRoscal Год назад +3

      Do keep in mind that Efteling doesn't count visitors, but visits. If someone with a subscription visits the park twenty times in a year, Efteling counts that as twenty visitors. Luckily for them, because the court has ordered they can't have more than 5 million visitors per year. Once they hit that number, they need to close for the rest of the year due to legislation regarding their CO2 emissions (that's also why they're constantly working on reducing their footprint, so they can apply for a new permit).

    • @TVARecordings
      @TVARecordings Год назад +4

      @@PeterRoscal They do not count subscriptions are each visit. They take out the average visits. They also used to count cars. Their math was that on average each car had 3.4 visitors.
      Nowadays, Hotel guests are not counted per visit, but only once.
      This, as you mention, to reduce the amount of visitors per year due complaining neighbours etc.

    A small disclaimer for people considering to visit Efteling, depending on the season you plan to visit, it's recommended to at least stay a night at a nearby hotel/AirBNB or the park's facilities:
    - Efteling Hotel (The most expensive) It has it's own private entrance to the park, including a 30+ min early bird access to the park.
    - Bosrijk (A nice price-balance) does have a seperate entrance next to the normal entrance, also featuring early entrance. Aprox 5-10 min walk away from the entrance.
    Downside, it's in the woods, not very suitable for wheelchairs.
    - Loonsche Land (hotel). It features a hotel and small houses. It's the cheapest of all 3. However, it's still a nice stay! Aprox 10-15 min walk away from the entrance, sharing the same entrance with Bosrijk.
    It's very accesable for wheelchairs/disabled guests.
    And, every summer, spring and holidays the Efteling hosts a free 'train' ride from and to Bosrijk/Loonsche Land close to the entrance, aprox a 3- min walk.
    Now, a disclaimer about 2 rides you've mentioned in your video.
    The ride Spookslot has been closed and demolished for a new ride opening in 2024.
    The ride Monsieur Cannibal has been renovated and now is named Sirocco. It has a new theming. (It's open)
    For guests that are planning to visit somewhere in 2024. The Efteling is planning to open a new hotel, which will also then function as the new entrance to the park.
    And, something incredible: Aquanura. Europe's largest fountain/music show, featuring Efteling Music. There are 4 variants, of which currently only 2 are hosting.
    There's also a parkshow, Raveleijn. Featuring horses, fire, water and more. The show is aprox 20 minutes long.
    Personally, i don't recommend to watch this show if you have a short stay in the park.
    A recommended hotel nearby the Efteling is named 'Guesthouse', it's in the same price range as Loonsche Land, but not owned by the Efteling. It's located at aprox 15-20 min walk away from the entrance.
    There's a supermarket next to the hotel named Albert Heijn. It has regular price's for their products, as it's a local supermarket (owned by a big company). So no crazy Themepark prices for a bread or drinks.

    • @wardcollector2503
      @wardcollector2503 8 месяцев назад

      But why would you stay in ''Guesthouse'' if its similar pricing to Loonsche Land? Then you'd have to pay entrance to enter Efteling

    Fun Fact about the Flying Dutchman Water Coaster: The issues with the Lift Hill where never really solved.
    The part where you stop on the Lift after the surprise drop more or less is that problem. Originally they wanted to have the trains engage with the lift and have it pulled up with out stopping, however during tests it would constantly break down and nobody was able to get it to work reliably. It was then decided to make the problem a feature of the ride and they added the short show scene on the lift.

    And as the park kept its old rides and atractions only adding on to them every one has the same experience and a new one . if one would go when the park was newly opened and took his children 15 years later the experience for both would be the same as when the parrents where young and the parents would have the same new experience as their chidren , same with grandparents and great great grandparents.
    Anton piek was the name of the artis and ilustrator , his art is well worth to have a look .
