      The lock is more inconvenient for the driver than a criminal. At least a criminal knows to look for locks and cut them to steal, whereas they also know loads are more likely nonexistent with no lock.

Sheriff tried to tell me I was going 94 in a 75. I had the cruise set at 73. ( I’m still trying to figure that one out.) This is exactly why the company I drive for discourages all drivers here to not park in Memphis. And don’t bother arguing with the officer. It’s not gonna do you any good and it’s wasting time. Pay the ticket or take your evidence to court on the date provided. It’s cheaper just to pay the fine though.

    Always use quality locks. Pre plan as much as you can. If in a high risk area, do what you need to to be vigilant. Dont park in high risk areas en route. Etc.

    🙂 Are the robbers carrying Cutoff Wheels and Bolt Cutters? Or are they just targetting door that only have plastic aluminum seals? What about seals that are shaped as a heavy bolt? or heavy cable?

    • @TiazaLynn
      @TiazaLynn 2 месяца назад +1

      The seal isn’t meant to keep people out, it’s to let the truck driver know someone’s been back there when it’s broken.
      It’s safer to let them in easy, then to drag the driver out of his truck, while forcing him to open the doors.

    Because car in front was speeding it is no excuse to speed . Maintain your distance and plan on the descent on down grade . The are no excuses for speeding or tailgating.

    I can’t say what I want to say on here, but Memphis’s problem is the poverty and with student loan payback’s restarting isn’t making it any easier for the citizens there. The state Government do not invest back into its communities and that’s why so many families and companies are leaving that area. In my opinion when you defund the POLICE (leaving the citizens and businesses to fend for themselves) this is what it looks like. Late last year they just had a FedEx semi get robbed while rolling🤦‍♂️. Majority of the crime is done by kids and young people, so where are the parents? My suggestion drivers, invest in a WARLOC or a 3 Keyed Alike.

    As for the speeding truck driver: since he has a camera pointed at the passenger door, what did the dash cam say?

    When the Law Enforcement Officer hands you the citation, you have to either hire an attorney or represent yourself before the court. Arguing on the side of the road will only strengthen the officer's resolve.

      I had the exact same thing happen to me on the Ohio Turnpike. I was driving an old Roadway truck.Wouldn't go over 58 miles an hour. Car hauler passed (on the right mind you) OHP pulled me over said I was doing 76 in a 55. I looked at him and said "In this Pos?" Didn't you see that car carrier pass me? He thought a minute and said You know I think you're right. It wasn't you I clocked. Sorry for the inconvenience have a nice night. I had to sit there a minute, I was so shocked!
