Yes I think he was talking about loving to be in Doctor Who but he’s always said he would’t want to do it playing 3rd Doctor. He might have changed his mind on that though

I've never been too fussed in seeing him as the 3rd Doctor, but I've always wanted him to appear on the show, he fantastic as Alfred in Gotham and I first saw him in A Bear's Tale about 20 years ago (the sitcom featuring the Bear from Bo' Selecta).
Oh god was he in that? 😄 I remember that coming on TV when I was visiting my Gran once… was a very akward 10 mins before I eventually said “shall we turn it over?” 😂😂😂

I soooo wish they were doing cinematic releases in Canada. There were a few back around the 50th anniversary and I loved them. And, yes, Sean Pertwee would be great to see in the season finale. Whether he plays his Dad or not. Troughton's sons have made it in to the show. Let's see Pertwee's in there, too.
Our cinema releases here are at midnight so it’s not that great for us, especially us middle aged fans. I stayed up to watch and review Boom at midnight and didn’t get to bed until 3am … it wiped me out for next two days. Never again 😄😄
My theory has always been that Jo Martin regenerates into Jon Pertwee. They are then exiled to Earth for some time. It's also the only missing regeneration (on screen) Could Sean be coming in for a regeneration episode?

My impulse is to say, not a chance. But that's what I thought about David Bradley playing the First Doctor and I was proven wrong then. Assuming this isn't just misinformation that cinemas scraped from IMDb I can imagine Sean Pertwee being there *only* as a nod. Maybe he's a UNIT scientist working on the uncovered artifact, with a reference to wink to the audience. Like The Doctor stumbles in and Pertwee's character calls him a "ham-fisted bun vendor". I can’t quite see Ty being the Doctor. At least not yet. Maybe when he matures a bit more but the roles I’ve seen him in so far, while not bad, don’t make me think Doctor. He could of course completely prove me wrong.

They invoked my love for the middle ages, especially England during middle ages, which after some time resulted in a phd in medieval studies ^^ and believe it or not, the accuracy of the political background portrayed in the books and series has enabled me to sail through many a class, shocking my professors with the details I knew. The author, Ellis Peters, was an ardent study of the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle that followed the lives of English kings from the Normon Conquest up until the late 1200s.

I'd have no problem with Sean Pertwee but as his own Doctor not his dad's that role belongs to Jon Pertwee I personally wouldn't be happy about as The Third Doctor is my favourite Doctor and I don't want RTD or Disney messing with it they should respect the history and leave it alone.

There was talks about filming with an actor wearing blue dots on his face, so it's very likely that they might digitally alter Sean's face to resemble that of his dad. Also, I'm not concerned about the voice too much, because David Bradley doesn't sound like William Hartnell either and I didn't hear anyone complaining about that.

Happy to see Sean Pertwee in Doctor Who; he’s a perfectly good actor. But I don’t want to see him play the third doctor. I hope Sean has stuck to his previous comments. I don’t want to see the TV show descend into the recasting mess like Big Finish has.

But he’s a well known actor that has appeared in lots of films and TV and as a regular in at least one network TV show in the US. And a lot of Doctor Who fans especially will know who he is.

Patrick Troughtons son was in the Tennant episode, Midnight and way back in the 70's as Pelodin with Pertwee.

But he’s a well known actor that has appeared in lots of films and TV and as a regular in at least one network TV show in the US.
And a lot of Doctor Who fans especially will know who he is.
Really hope he doesnt. His father would spin in his grave if he did it now as this show has been destroyed. If he does it reeks of desperation on behalf of a dieing show
Maybe don’t project your own feelings of the show onto others. I’m sure Sean has a much better idea of what his father would approve of than you do.
