I like to catch legendaries in regular Pokeballs as well.
I got thunderurous with a normal poke ball
Because my first game was red and I like normal poke ball at the Center more.
I catch all my pokemon in regular pokeballs cause I'm cheap and have ocd.

Yeah, in ORAS, Deoxys's catch rate is hella high.

If RNG wants to mess with you, theres a slim chance it works. Mostly after using up your good pokeballs though
Back when Ruby and Sapphire were new, people thought that there was an event where you could take off from the space centre to go to space and catch a mythical pokemon. Obviously at the time, that wasn’t true. However, it is beyond cool that they actually included it in the remakes, and using the triangle puzzle too… absolutely perfect! Still though, I way prefer Deoxys’ original gen 3 cry… sounded so much better imo.
Gosh, the way Deoxys's arms slowly appear behind that triangle in the OR/AS battle in space still gives me shivers to this day....so creepy

Fun fact: in the ORAS deoxys fight in space, if you use Nature Power or Secret Power, you get Draco Meteor and Swift respectively.
I'll be honest, I just watched this video to hear Deoxys' amazing theme.
Oof, when I battled Deoxys for the first time in Alpha Sapphire, I lost my shit since I was never able to legitimately get one until that day. Oh, that and the fact that I was in mfing OUTER SPACE lol
And it doesn't matter anymore if you catch it, it's just gonna disintegrete into the Damn atmosphere.

Crazy how Deoxys was introduced in Gen 3, but it was in a Gen 1 remake before anything
Deoxys was in Ruby and Sapphire first. I remember finding the AR code for it and Jirachi before anyone really knew who they were.

Some of us knew of their existence before they were officially released, is what I'm saying. Nobody who found them in RS's data knew who they were until Nintendo released them in FRLG.

Remember when everyone popped off when Deoxys showed up in ORAS
People say that Mewtwo and Arceus are the strongest Pokemon in the universe, but Deoxys literally brought down Mega Rayquaza to Red Health with just one move.
I had no idea it appeared on Sky Pillar, if you failed it in ORAS. That’s so cool.

I just think the whole thing in ORAS where Deoxys suddenly appears is information overload because minutes before, you have just caught Rayquaza. It wouldn't hurt to have another episode after the Delta episode where you have the opportunity to finally get Deoxys. Great game tho.

its a bit late, but the answer is that in later games(i think from gen 5 onwards), storyline legendaries have catch rates higher than normal for legendaries. An example would be necrozma in USUM pretty much being caught in the first pokeball without any damage or status effects, even if it is a beast ball

I've used Cheat Codes on Pokemon Emerald at Emulator to encounter and caught Deoxys

Yes. If you defeat Deoxys in space, you can rematch it on Sky Pillar. That would mean fighting the Pokemon League though.

Dude I got ORAS right when it came out and I replayed through it at least 50 times just in a few years it was so fun. Such a great game.
I never realized that Gen 3 Deoxys was designed around each forme he would take after you caught him. I see that Attack Deoxys would have Superpower, Defense Deoxys has Spikes, and Speed Deoxys has Pursuit. Really creative and interesting
And it's in Normal form in Ruby and Sapphire.
And yet, it's Speed Deoxys who takes advantage of Spikes the best.

There's a question I've had for the past decade: What happens when you have a link battle across FR, LG or Emerald and both opponents have Deoxys? How will their Deoxys be displayed to the other?
If viewed from the FR player's screen, will the opposing Deoxys appear as an Attack or Normal Deoxys, but have the stats of the opposing player's Deoxys? I really need to know.
I love the Oras version the most.
