- After getting the Fuji X-T4 about a month before it was released I feel I've had a awesome chance to really getting a great understanding of its menu system, answered many questions that have caught new users out e.g. "why don't any of dials work in video mode?" and unlocked all the awesome power to really speed up your work flow when shooting with the Fujifilm X-T4

seriously it feels like some (i wont say MOST) complaints people make about the fuji cameras are just the user not doing the proper menu research and capabilities of the camera before doing the video review.
added - instead of raw specs - menu / camera capabilities is also important and theres a lot of interesting features that I think does not exactly show up in a spec sheet.
The main complaint I get about the xt4 is from people who don't like how long it takes to change a certain setting (depending on what they shoot)
I'm hoping this video answers all those issues
The first thing my camera asks is to pair Bluetooth devise.
Newer firmware has changed this process
Thanks so much. I'm moving from an X-T2 to the X-T4. Never went though all the set up and advanced options on the X-T2 - just put it in manual mode, made some basic adjustments, and figured out how to change certain settings when I needed them. Decided to really try to learn the features of the X-T4 and it has made a huge difference. Someone mentioned your short, fast format and I think it is great. I learned as much or more relevant and helpful info here than I have on much longer tutorials. Much appreciated.

Some excellent info on your videos but one thing I would like to know about the XT-4 ( for night scapes ) is does the Boost Low Light help much ?, I use an X-T2 and Nikon Z6 and the X-T2 is quite dim
I normally have my display as dim as possible for night scapes, and just adjust it depending on the light through the Q menu.
It has no effect on your final photo though
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography Sorry I just meant the EVF display for composition I thought the Boost Low Light function in the power management may help to brighten it up rather than turn on a light , Like you I shoot quite a lot of night stuff and would love to get rid of the Z6 and stick with Fuji
Lens plays a huge roll, with the 16mm 1.4 wide open I can see the stars very clearly when composing, but with say the 10-24mm at f/4 it's a lot harder by comparison.
Good job---this camera is always surprising me---it's so well thought out. It even makes me want to shoot a few stills.
Tip you may or may not know. Never use manual white balance when shooting run and gun. Shoot with auto white balance and then lock it with AWB-L. Assign the AWB-L to a button or the D-pad. From there you can toggle it on and off in seconds, and every time you toggle it off you get a new white balance, immediately toggle AWB-L back on to lock it.
I've tried this and it works like a charm for run and gun video.

Hi there . On my Canon the C1 C2 C3 setting banks allow you to chose a set and lock it in , say for instance Birds In Flight so you would have a fast shutter speed , continuous tracking , iso parameters and wide focus at the touch of the dial. I notice on the X-S10 there are C1 C2 C3 on the top dial . Are these only custom adjustments like film simulations or are they custom shooting functions. Thanks
I no longer have the camera on me to test or check sorry, but maybe another follower of the channel can amswer that for you

@@ThomasBusbyPhotography the sub-dial under the shutter speed dial that doesn’t control metering anymore, but allows you to switch from still to video mode on th XT4, Do you think that could come over to the XT3 via future updates or if it even is possible.
I'm sure it's possible but i doubt it will happen unfortunately.

Hey there, I have just purchased the Fujifilm X T 4, but I am just starting out with photography. I belong to the media industry, so I work in a camera environment, and I have always been passionate about learning photography, and that is why I recently bought the X T 4 with 18-55mm lenses. Would you be able to explain the proper settings for videography for me as a tourist vlogger? This is because I cover large cities, rivers, beaches, jungles and mountains, as well as food and hotels - restaurants etc. My goal is to capture the highest quality footage from the Fujifilm X T 4 with your help. If possible, please provide some tips. My best regards.

I’d start with everything in auto and learning about exposure compensation though

And I don’t know which software should I use for this! Fujifilm camera raw studio or Fujifilm camera remote? Please advise
If I understand your question correctly the Fuji remote app will be the one to go
when i insert my videos to my editing software,only sound, video not show, think it says mov, my footages from sony camera is mp4,they show. im new to this cam, not sure wats up
What software are you using?
If you downloaded something like VLC or Davinchi resolve (both free) this will be able to play your clips.
It’s not a camera setting. But knowing what software you want to use is required to help answer this

Yeah having it as a option is fantastic.
If you increase brightness by 2 you will get the underexposed image, when you shoot manual.

Just when I thought I could pick up any camera and set it up I was wrong. I don’t understand when I set my camera to manual Depending on where my shutter speed is I look to the right and there’s expose your compensation automatically there I’m really confused any help would be truly appreciate it I enjoy your videos

@@ThomasBusbyPhotography when I am in shutter Priority and I change it it automatically changes My exposure compensation sometimes up to -4 I don’t know how to explain it any differently
What lens are you using and what is your iso and aperture set to?
