No just joking, am pretty sure a big part of his career started off with a big paint company that he built up then sold. Since then he has been heavily involved in real estate. Think he still owns the Marbella Lebanese restaurant, is part owner of C'est Normal then of course he'll have so many other projects that is not disclosed on social media.
u know little about people from scandinavia. we are down to earth.
The successful people I met are all chill, funny and confident. One of the reasons they got rich is because they have good social skills and learnt how to be likeable individuals. Very few and typically the ones who didn't make the money themselves get lost in it.

I am more of a polished concrete rather than marble type of guy but I really don't think it would be that hard to add some character to the house. The views and outdoor is everything. Makes me wanna move somewhere south. Very aspirational video!
Agree. As much as I love contemporary and modern architecture, these places do feel a bit cold. Furniture, rugs and art might warm things up and bring more character.

Rickards houses are always nice but they often look very pedestrian, he needs to hire a professional interior designer to have a cohesive look and feel to it.

To each their own. I hardly feel compelled to criticize somebody's taste with things I will probably never be able to afford. I see what you mean, and it wouldn't be my taste either, but I don't see much to fault and there is a lot of nice stuff around. Let him enjoy life as he sees fit, and I am pretty sure he wouldn't embrace my taste either :-)

I am from Marbella and I have been living in Cyprus for some years. It feels as if these two guys are my friends because I share their passion when talking about living in Malaga/Cyprus and showing off life as it is. I feel a bit jealous of the level of greatness of their assets, but happy for them to see how they are enjoying life in the same places I do/did.

I think it makes you feel in a hotel rather than a home. There are so much marbles, glass fences etc. The house in Marbella was different.
That’s how it is with many of these Villa style homes in Cyprus and all over the Middle East. They’re very similar.
They’re soulless. It’s not a home. Just a space. Rikard has no idea about interior decorating.

Congrats on the new house, but I'm afraid Cyprus has no soul compared to Spain 🇪🇦. I get the fact that you both relocated there for tax reasons and I respect that, but I miss the light, the architecture, the nature, the culture and the vibe you guys had in gorgeous Spain

It's a nice and interesting video, just good to hear from you guys, but i have to say these cyprus houses feel extremly soulless to me personally. The rented villas and now this, they somehow lack a lot of character. I mean of course he just moved in, so there is no personal touch, but the house itself also feels kind of generic. All the shiny surfaces and wasted space layouts just don't give a lot of "home" feel, it's more like an office space or hotel. BUT i love the views from every single room with big windows and a very open, transparent feeling.

Nice, lots of deals now in Cyprus. The big Russian money has dried up. They called Cyprus, Moscow on the Med. It's a buyer's market.
They all ran so quickly to Cyprus that they're continually moving to find houses they actually want to live in.

They sold the marbella house (probably a hotter market than cyprus). And they're renting while getting a feel of the area before deciding where to live.
I wonder if the Cyprus housing market will suffer with less Russian money since the Ukraine war?

@@camb00 Jon was already rich before RUclips (which I'm sure is also very profitable), if that's what you mean. You have to consider he was arguably the most famous freeskier in his day (even hosted his own event for a few years) and got huge sponsor deals. And take into account that, apart from working with big companies, he's also created some himself, like Yniq (which he sold) and Douchebags for example.
Is Rickard running from something? He moves a lot. Will Jon be moving along soon too, as usual?

I can see how this house would appeal to him. It’s sterile to me, but ideal for Richard and his boys.
The recipe goes something like this: Richards buys a new house in a new place - Jon moves his family to the same place and buys a house too. Richards soon sells this house - Jon does the same thing. Richards buys another house - Jon too. And so on. Take note: in a little while Jon will put his house up for sale and buy another one close to Richards. Just wait. That's the deal.

I suspect Jon and Janni won't be buying any houses there ever, they are likely putting their money into the house in Sweden which I agree with.
They were obviously renting while getting a feel of the area before buying. And I only recall it happening once that the Olsson family moved after Richard.

@@venom5809 Jon arrived in Cyprus, rented a house and shortly afterwards moved to a bigger one closer to the sea. Looks like the last one was bought. Apparently there's a kind of competition between Jon and Richard to see who can do the most...

That solar panels can give enough with power only 33 panels lets say they give 390w each =12.870kwp and that can't be enough for that house if you have air-condition for example.
So now Jon have to buy a house as well.... Dont want to rent any longer ;-)
He should get some thick glass that could support the cars, and then just keep the underground, remove the railing and park the cars ontop of the downstairs thingy

Why don't I see that quality? Color grading is super orange, most of the shots are out of focus (i know, manual but still...). Don't get me wrong, I love the videos and content but for 20k+ setup the quality just isn't there .
For comparison, I watch Misha Charoudin's channel who films with Sony A7 S3 which is A LOT cheaper camera but shots are way nicer for me :)

I wondering how often they all will change their houses until they realized that cyprus is simply not a nice place. There is not much todo and the overall quality from things, especially food is really low. Sorry, to be negative but I have been down that road in cyprus as well.....
I've been through what they have, I lived in Tenerife but got super bored after 2 years. Small places just don't fit well with multi-cultural people. Island people generally have low IQ and agressive too...

car suvs have stiff suspention which make the grep better, when it snows or towing a boat/wagon.
why are suvs/jeeps high? if you are tall you sit in a more comfortable position, lower cars for long people are longer and more difficult to park.

Wealth tax in Spain means they have to pay up to 2.5% in taxes, each year, on EVERYTHING they own worldwide - houses, cars, jewellery, boats, etc. Stupid tax and quite unique to Spain.
Things like the energy and water efficity in this house is a "normal" thing in Germany :D

So here's the thing, knowing Cyprus like I do, I never saw the Deler & Olsson families as Paphos people. They have Limassol written in their DNA. Limassol is a kinder/gentler Marbella with a lot less crime, hucksters and shysters. It's more family oriented and I believe for now they will be much happier people there.
The added bonus are some incredible cultures, markets and restaurants, plus an awesome marina.

Tbh Marbella houses had much more character. These new builds feel very plain and cookie cutter. Still feel that cypress was the wrong move for the Olsson family. Marbella and Monaco was awesome.
Taxes, my friend…. Rikard had mentioned it on an interview that he was tired of paying taxes in Spain, specifically referring to Spain’s “Wealth Tax” which taxes residents on their global assets. It’s a stupid tax and if I was in Rikard’s position I would have done the same and told Spain to f*** off, but I wouldn’t have moved to Cyprus. Agree the Marbella houses have a lot more character than this…
It looks way better than Monaco to live. But agree the house in Marbella was great and probably a nicer place.
Now it looks like they will be living between Sweden and Cyprus instead of Spain and Monaco.
what’s so good about monaco? living in a tiny one bed apartment. those marbella houses were old & dingy before they renovated & furnished them.. just give them time to add their touch
@@marcelohendrix6139 Taxes, that's the only good thing about Monaco and that's the only reason millionaires 'live' there - why do you think Jon had a house in Monaco and in Marbella? He used to spend 3 months every year in Monaco which entitles him to be tax resident there, avoiding to pay tax in Spain (good for him, Spanish tax law is ridiculous). The Marbella houses were old but they had Andalucian character in their design and build. They overhauled them and given them a 'celebrity blessing' which shot up the price to way beyond what they're really worth even with the renovations.... The Cyprus houses are brand new, nothing to renovate, only furnish, and they're sterile and fugly.
@@andreacoppini everyone knows monaco is a tax haven. i was asking what was awesome about the monaco properties? as for contemporary houses being fugly that’s subjective but a lot more people do seem to like them, even cities like marbella are moving away from traditional styles to more modern houses
