I budget every month faithfully. I must be a great steward and manage what God gives me because I have abundance as a child of God. I am wealthy, wise and intentionally living as such. Speaking it all into existence and walking by faith because I have what I say. I refuse to be broke, have debt, misuse money or live with no peace. Thanks Anthony, Dave and so many others for assisting us with knowledge, accountability and financial freedom. May God continue to bless you as you bless others.

You have to budget your bills first each week. Pay those first, then budget what your saving. After that groceries, gas. If nothing is left we stay home on the weekend. No biggie, live within your means or below to get ahead. It isn't rocket science, it's all about being a good steward of what you have. Great job Anthony.

Money should be budgeted for the month. You should also pay yourself (save/invest) first. If you're only budgeting your leftover money that could be a recipe for disaster. This also let's you know areas where you need to cut back and reduce expenses.

Basically the percentages would be the same but just for your monthly income. So if you make 2500/mo., 50% which would be $1250 is your budget amount for rent, utilities, groceries, Healthcare and transportation, childcare if you have. 20% would be $500 towards emergency fund and 30% which is $750 would go to giving/tithing, self-care, dining out etc. Adjust as needed for your exact bills. Write out ALL expenses. It's good to grab a few months of previous bills to gage what they are monthly if they're not fixed bills. Grab your credit card and bank statements so you can see what you're spending. Receipts if spending cash. That's where you start. The biggest thing is see where your money is going so that you can begin telling it where it should go. I saw that i was spending hundreds on carryout, thinking i didn't have enough for bills. In fact, i had more than enough. I was just spending too much in certain places. Hope this helps.

And, the 4.6% APY is earned after your deposits, within the 30-day evaluation period, total a minimum of $5000. Read the fine print...

I'm in LA and now a days my rent is considered 'low' at $1900. Increases were on hold from 2020 - 2024. So I'm blessed that I'm under $2K/mo for 1500 sq. I'm a rent controlled dwelling. The 50 for housing is not conducive these days. He is correct is putting your money on paper. I have surely wasted so much money over the years and should have bought something years ago. One can live in Cali if you budget correctly. This is only the last 10 - 15 yrs of our prices jumping so high. I rent out my 2nd bedroom because it's a large suite just sitting there. :) Salaries haven't always risen to match the rise in living cost.

I have been doing these tips for many years. You must pay your important bills first....day care...rent ..electric....watet....car payment ....car insurance. I tell my friend stop going to pay day loans and borrowing money. A person must tell your money where to go. Never let your money tell you where to go. Your company gives you free money to invest, always matches it. Take advantage of the health benefits... When I was younger I used to chase money. Now I am older, and I do chase my benefits now

Ecc. 4:9-12 - having a financial partner for accountability and support is a great thing.
My wife keeps me on the straight and narrow... "You don't need that: bring it back." Or, "We haven't really used that subscription. Let's cancel it."
Your family essentials for me avg 70%, 10% to God, 5% saving, 5% discretionary, 10% family health/repairs.
However, with my life partner beside me, the load is shared. We can now live on my income and use hers for saving, giving, and family.

If I had an extra $5000 a month I would definitely do right by it Lord.
I no longer have a mortgage so I would pay property taxes for year. Home insurance for year. My full time job takes care of everything else.
    $500 tithes
    $1000 car payment/insurance
$1000 for bills that need paid off
    $2,500 savings.
