- Welcome back to Critterland!! Today I have the Sylvanian Families / Calico Critters HOUSE ON THE HILL super-cool ANNIVERSARY SET to unbox, new sets and updates to share, and a living room to open!
I've added many new sets since my last collection update, and I'll show you most of them today. The rest will come out as I renovate Critterland... more on that later in the video!!
I'm VERY motivated to hurry and get Critterland rearranged because I'm doing another FULL collection tour for 2024, and want to post it mid-January. That's ambitious, but I'm hopeful!! In the meantime I'll document the journey, so stay tuned! Once Critterland is in order, I'll do a setup of the House on the Hill. So much to look forward to!!

So excited that you are expanding Critter land. I love the house on the hill, I think it is one of the few houses that actually has room to set up complete rooms.
Yes! It's absolutely massive! It's a tough one to find in good condition for a good price, and tough fit anywhere, but my all-time favorite house (maybe a tie with the Urban Life mansion). So pretty and classic, with wonderful colors and details. I'm so glad I waited until I had space, otherwise it would have sat unused on the floor or swallowed up Critterland. I'm sooo excited to set it up, I even got some cute fabric and ribbons to make matching curtains! 🙂

So many awesome new additions to your collection! Excited to see your House on the Hill set up and the Critterland renovations! The Living Room set shown here is my absolute favourite from Flair/Epoch, I have it in the grand hotel but it's so perfect for the House on the Hill!
So many nice older items. I love the conservatory and hair salon. The living room set looks great in the Raspberry home even if it's just a temporary setup.

I, got the house on the hill with the children’s bedroom set country bathroom living room set the fridge set the master bedroom set and the dinner party set for Christmas also the conservatory is missing two little spikes on the top and also I think you should change your sylvanian room to your bedroom and your bedroom to your sylvanian room so you can set up every building and family like me who has every building set up with every figure and house.
I’ve wanted the house on the hill for so long but just got it! It’s kinda weird how most of the eBay listing have no fencing😅. I didn’t realize how big it was until it came 😂.

Oooh... so many new sets! There’s nothing like getting to open a vintage set NIB with all those detailed accessories for the first time. The new sets are just no comparison. I’d love to see detailed videos or set ups featuring the conservatory or vintage beauty salon (they’re both on my “most wanted” list). Or maybe a summer/seaside set up featuring the ice cream van and sellers you showed and the new Seal Family I spied. I also spied the vintage Tomy country manor. I’d love to see how you set this one up, it’s one of my favourites. I’m really looking forward to seeing your updates and expansion to crittertown. How exciting! I really appreciate how much research you put into your videos and the comparisons you do. My daughter (7yrs old) would like me to ask why you have so many blue 7-seater vans and red cars?

I found these at Meijer, Kolorae brand! I’ve also seen them on Amazon. They are the absolute perfect size for critters, and I love how crystal clear they are. ❤
Hey so I recently discovered your channel so glad I did, I have a question I noticed you don’t use any little woodzeez house at all why is that?
I ended up with 2 Houses on green Hills so I can just look at one on the outside. Today I got a STRANGE ballerina - she is a silk cat with the pointy toes. Never seen one like it. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this or have I transitioned into the twilight zone? Love this channel with all the ideas of combining.

I got the luxury living room brand new a while back, unfortunately I can't remember offhand whether I got it on eBay or lucked out finding it on Amazon or Walmart. Probably eBay. This set has been retired for a long time, but you may be able to find one on eBay - good luck and LMK if you get one!! 😍

What websites can I find older items. I find it difficult. To find
eBay is the best for vintage sets. Also, KobeeJapan Museum Store online lists retired or vintage items from time to time. Just be careful to price compare, and I am always patient - I wait for a good deal!! For example, I waited about 5 years before buying this house. Mainly because I didn't have space, but also because I wanted to find it complete, in good condition, for a low price. So take your time! Good luck!
Why do people call them Calico Critters when it's "sylvanian families " all over the box?? Just asking cause I'm confused and I don't have any!!
LOL yes, it is super confusing! The sets sold in the USA and Canada are branded calico critters, the rest are Sylvanian families. They are the exact same toys just with different branding. This is because the lightbulb company Sylvania called trademark on Sylvanian Families in the USA, even though the names were different and the brands sold completely unique things (light bulbs vs toys). I hope that clears it up, and I use the terms interchangeably. 😁

What price did you get that living room set for? I am looking for it and want to know what price and where you got it from?
Sorry for late reply! I got this maybe 6 or 8 months ago on eBay (last spring) for $40 I think. It’s been retired a long time, but is pretty easy to find from resellers. Just be patient and wait for a good deal!
