📦 UNOPENED Vintage Sylvanian sets from the 80s/90s!! Unboxing 7 super retro Calico Critter items

- Welcome back to Critterland! Today I'm unboxing a super special Sylvanian Families / Calico Critters haul... 7 brand new sets from the 80s/90s!
These sets were purchased via a private sale. After buying some items from Jacc Batch, I was contacted by a fellow collector on the Sylvanian Families fan site. He said he had some unopened vintage items I might be interested in, and was selling them at very reasonable prices. Boy was he right!!!
Now typically I'm very wary of private purchases - they are ripe for fraud - so I was very careful to check out the seller and do my due diligence first. Never, ever, ever buy anything via email or from someone you don't know unless you have 100% confidence it's legitimate!
My favorite of course is the Party Set. OH... MY... GOODNESS!!! What an amazing set, with that unbelievable little mini-house. The attention to detail on these older sets is just amazing.

I teared up when I started your video and heard your voice. I'm so glad you are back! This is an amazing haul! Everything is so nice. My collection has stalled because I basically collect families and keep them in the box for display. (not that I don't have a closet full of homes and accessories ). I am not on social media- only youtube. I would love to be able to find new ways to order vintage families. I took your advice about Kobee Japan and that has worked well. As you said eBay is very expensive and actually today I got a scam email saying someone had relisted an item I was interested in but when I went to my own message center on eBay it wasn't there. My daughter lives in the UK and orders things for me from eBay UK which I can tell you is so much cheaper. A lot of sellers don't ship to the USA so she orders it and ships it to me. She has a baby and I really don't like to bother her so if you could suggest other people for me to order from I would greatly appreciate that! I do also order from Sylvanian Storekeepers and I did notice another youtuber has a shop. (Amys Animals). Sorry this is so long. I missed you!!
Thanks for your lovely message! It can be very frustrating trying to find collectible/vintage Sylvanians, KobeeJapan is a great option and always reliable, I also noticed more vintage/older items popping up on Amy's store (I bought the Pig family and Captain Seadog from her, the prices and shipping were fair and it shipped fast), but buying anything from UK is costly whether eBay or elsewhere. Amazon Japan is my other go-to for newly released sets in Japan, and occasionally I'll find vintage there too (I got a used Hamburger Wagon from Amazon JP). The shipping can also be high, but the exchange rate from JP Yen to USD is still EXCELLENT so even with shipping it feels like a bargain. And Debaragon on eBay is still listing/selling, tons of great items at good prices, and she's here in the US. I do find occasional good deals elsewhere on eBay that don't come from overseas. I hope that helps!

These sets are so interesting! I love the detail they put in older sets
Fun fact, those casings the blocks were on are called a sprue, I gently file the plastic bits off of the edges when I get something that's on a sprue like that, it should help your vintage soda bottles stand up too

I stopped collecting for awhile and now that you’re back it makes want to collect more lol I love calico critters so much and you’re the channel that got me into them!! All of these sets are soooo adorable! These are super cool to see as well since I wasn’t born till 97 so I’ve never seen these sets before!
