Butter at Sunset V2
1.75 oz Brown Butter Rum
.25 oz Rum Fire
.5 oz Banana Liqueur
1 Bar Spoon Maple Syrup
1 Dash Angostura & Chocolate Bitters
Float of Peychaud's
Stir and serve on a big cube with a bruleed banana garnish

1oz white overproof Jamaican rum (I used Rum Fire)
1oz blanc vermouth (I used Dolin)
1oz green chartreuse
Express a grapefruit swath into a mixing glass then drop it in.
Add remaining ingredients then ice, then stir.
Strain over fresh ice and express another grapefruit swath.
First off, I love the name.
This sounds very bold! How do you like it?
Also, I would have to use a green Chartreuse substitute if I made this, that could be a fun video though.
@@UnclePete I think it’s a fun drink! Obviously it’s a Negroni riff but it’s also inspired by some of my recent favorites. White overproof Jamaican + chartreuse combo was lifted from the Nuclear Daiquiri and I thought grapefruit + this rum would go well together since I love a Wray (or Rum Fire) & Ting. It’s definitely a stiff drink so maybe some rebalancing is in order, that’s why I’ve brought it to Uncle P. Cheers 👍

Also, I would've though very ripe bananas would work better for bruleeing. Thinking like a good fried sweet plantain.
I needed to put them on a pick though, so I didn't want them too mushy. Riper would taste better, but you know, gotta have that presentation!
I've tried bacon fat washing and coconut oil - now I have to try brown butter!
