    My favourite combo that I own would be my jig-setup with a Daiwa Steez SV TW HSL paired with the Gunki Iron-T Chooten C 210ML 5-18(25)g rod. Close second is the dropshot setup with a Shimano Vanquish 16 2500s FA and a Gunki Iron-T Chooten S 228ML 5-18(25)g rod. Depends on what the fish are biting on.

    My favorite combo for now is a Shimano Chornarch MGL with a 6'6 Medium Carbonlite. I fish for peacock bass down here in Puerto Rico. My friend bought a Bantam and let me use it a bit... its an awesome reel! Yes, its heavy compared to my Chronarch MGL but somehow it doesn't actually feel that heavy. I think it has to do with the profile, really small reel... close to my Curado 71. Makes me want to buy one XD. I used mostly Daiwa reels but I am slowly changing my gear to Shimano. Can't wait for the Curado DC! Love your rod and reel Arsenal!

    With your jerkbait setup what’s the reason for the 30lb braid when running light leader? With a lighter braid you’d be able to get a bit more casting distance

    • @LadyBass
      @LadyBass  6 лет назад

      Lighter braid is less manageable and digs in on it self too much

  • @davec1004
    @davec1004 6 лет назад

    Why do you use 65lbsBraid? I think that is major overkill for bass fishing. The heavyist I use is 30lbs and i toss it in really heavy slop and never have a problem.
    I use Shimano spinning gear. I have a Shimano Sedona 2500 reel on a 6foot6 Solara rod MF. But I am in love with my Lews Tournement MB Baitcasting reel on my 7foot1 St.Croix medium heavy fast action rod. for the price it's the best on the market in my opinion.

    • @fritzschoch8345
      @fritzschoch8345 6 лет назад

      Yeah, better brakes plus hagane gearing and x-ship technology but if you're going to shell out another 50 bucks I'd check Ebay and get a Curado K, it isn't hard to find them for around 150 bucks and sometimes they're even cheaper. I've also picked up a couple of Citicas for 115-120 bucks as well. But anyway yeah, they're worth the extra money.

    I went from 6 rods down to 1-2 these days. for the past couple years I've been using 3 foot rods like the Daiwa Shorty. Can cast that thing sitting cross legged, ducking under a tree if I want to lol. # BankFishingLife Not sure what my favorite combo is. My 15 year old 4000 size Shimano spinning reel has been on probably a half dozen rods.

  • @discipleofchrist7119
    @discipleofchrist7119 6 лет назад

    Quick question, how do you set up your reel for pitching? I've watched other videos and people usually have different opinions. Just wondered how you set up (or even maybe do a video yourself). I've tried pitching myself and can't seem to get the hang of it

    • @LadyBass
      @LadyBass  6 лет назад

      I set my spool tension knob a bit more loose then if i was to cast a bait - this helps your bait fall down straight and not pendulum. I flip with a curado k so i have 2 breaks on and im set at 1 or 2. Set your drag t max and you should be good!

    Why braid on everything ? Jerbaits crankbaits etc IMO should be straight flouro

    • @LadyBass

      Cranks are straight fluro. Braid is easier to manage, casts further, lasts longer, and has more sensitivity

    Too everyone that is just a regular fisherman seriously don’t worry about videos like this you don’t need all that crap for every little technique to catch fish! Unless you are sponsored by a company then obviously use whatever they send you and run with it but you really don’t need 10+ rods thats just stupid.
    PS. Buy yourselves a good Lews set up it’ll serve its purpose and last way longer than any shitimano
