Exactly, I had a weekend a couple weeks back where all the sales started on Friday but I couldn’t go til Saturday and at 3 separate sales I spent $20, $30 and $8 on $200, $220 and $175 items. On the first day that’s great , on the second day that’s impossible lol. That’s why we do it.

You'd be surprised.. I ALWAYS run into dirt cheap video game bundles.. But, always someone who's kid , X or whatever was a big gamer and left their stuff when they moved out.. I got a box with original Sega Genesis, Nintendo, and boxes of all the games & accessories for $40

Congrats! I also just had one of the best yard sale hauls of my life. On Saturday, I answered a listing 40min from my house promising consoles and found a fat PS3 for $45, a PS2 slim for $25, and a box containing a mix of around 40 retro games along with a red DS for $60 total. And on top of that, I stopped at an estate sale on my way back and found a box with 34 Wii and 6 Gamecube games that she initially wanted $3 each for and haggled down to $42 total. Three of those Gamecube titles were a black label Super Smash Melee, a Player's Choice Zelda Windbreaker, and a Player's Choice Super Mario Sunshine. I'm pretty sure we has the same reaction when we asked the price of that box.

Josh, I just love how genuinely happy you are find you find a good deal weather it's shoes or anything else. This is the first time I've see a guy that enjoys going shopping like you even thought it's for work. I love going shopping too, but unlike you I only buy things for personal use. However what I go looking for usually they are sold out and I have to have it special ordered in or be out on a waiting list so I get really excited when I go shopping and I actually get what I want without having to wait. I wish I could find deals like you but and by deals I mean if I can even find them at 30% off I consider it a good deal since I wear the average men's size and stores don't seam to stock more than 1 or 2 items in my size. And in Shoes try finding a size 10M I think it's the most common size for men and they usually don't have more than one pair and only 1 in each color and they have to special order it in when that on is sold. I hope that when you get to be my age you are still happy happy going shopping. I'm older than your Mom. by the way. Lol
it's hilarious how much joy i get from watching videos of people going to garage sales on youtube. thanks for the content man. This year I just started doing this and has helped me save quite a bit of extra money for retirement.

I use to love wheeling and dealing when I was growing up like this but I don't even care about it anymore. Yet I enjoy the hell out of this, I don't even know why. Hairy is relaxing.
Its cool what you find! I have to say its so sad people walk by antique Treadle sewing machines! They often go for very little and people are far more interested in sewing now with Covid. I have two beautiful ones and they are wonderful!

That was an INSANE Haul!!! So happy for you! I found a Nintendo 64 Lot like that a couple years back for $20 as well. I'm pretty sure I was just as excited to find it as both of you were. I was fortunate enough to get top dollar for all of my games during the "safer at home" period last year. My husband and I kept the system itself as we still enjoy playing Dr. Mario.
Church garage sales can be great because all of the stuff is from donations and some even repossesed stuff and one time I got a computer that I sold for 1200 for just 100 bucks.

Dude I was a high school and college football player. I’ve fought MMA and still train BJJ to this day. I’ve done grappling tournaments, kickboxing matches and even competitive gaming.
I only tell you these things to say that I have been reselling for a couple of months now and I get the same adrenaline rush from getting up on a Saturday and going looking for great finds as I do doing all those things😂

I never feel bad when someone sets their own price. If it's incredibly cheap, well, that's their price and you paid it. The guys who tick me off are the ones who find something stupidly cheap and then proceed to work on beating them down on the price. Like a 500% profit margin just isn't enough.

You are not deceiving anyone. He set the price and apparently he is ok with $20.00. Most people who have garage sales are getting rid of junk. Most people know that if they want top $$ for their stuff a garage sale is not exactly the best platform to do it on.

Solid haul. Back in 2013 I stumbled upon NES games at a local thrift. I started putting them all in my basket. The manager came out and said want more games? Started bringing out totes and priced them per tote. I Spent a little over $40 and got nearly 800 games. Almost all cartridge games, was a few disc games and some broken gamegears too. A store a couple hours away had closed and just donated it all. I ended up selling it all in bulk to another game store (dumb on my part, way before I did eBay).
I have one post to remember it by that I look back on when it pops up. I have gotten some good stuff since then of course, but don't think I'll ever get something on that level.
also this probably goes without saying, but keep the art and manuals for any games without discs.

TBH, I am kind of disappointed. While everyone likes a deal, I feel you took advantage of the situation. I see other RUclipsrs offer the people more money than what they are quoted in situations like that instead it looked like you were trying to hide the extra goodies. The hubby probably had no clue what was in the box.

There's a difference between paying $20 for something you can sell for $50 vs paying $20 for something you can sell for $500.

You start offering more money than they ask and they get suspicious. I've learned my lesson in the past. You pay what they ask, say thank you and move out.

They got the price they wanted & you get to make a profit, which is what we're in the business of doing... if people choose to be angry about that maybe they should be reminded of the actual injustices going on in the world. There are issues out there worth actually being angry about, & if this video is the worst thing that happens to them then I'd say those people are having a pretty good day... Just 5 years ago we would come home with piles of retro consoles and games every single Saturday from garage sales. We found ridiculous amounts of stuff, now it's rare to find anything good, but the plus side is that it forced me look for different types of items and ended up finding some other very profitable niches to explore.

Any time games are $1.50 or under its always worth it to take them all at cost or ask for a deal on the box. Even if they aren't worth listing individually you can lot them up and get at least double the purchase price. I also use the straggling games to sell systems. Tossing a few free games in with the controller and cables will always moves the systems faster. Excellent scores in this vid!
HT- new subscriber. Retired & went to a Goodwill the other day - needed a lamp. I picked a nice lamp out for 8.99. Had no idea it was 80% off for some reason (old people discount, lol). I got a very nice lamp for less than $2. Started thinking that thrifting may be fun - that is why I am here to learn from you!

My kids have a Thomas play tent like the one in the first sale - picked it up at a market stall for $5 when our friends kid used to come visit (before our girls were born). It's been through him, my wife's cousin's kids and back to our girls. Very nostalgic to see it there.
