This is exactly what I'm doing right now, awesome project!! Are you having the APM handle 2 channels for 4W steering or are you just tying them both together? I would like to have an option to pick either one. Glad I found this channel, subbed!

I had a servo reverser handy so i used that. I am sure it is possible to do it with the APM but I do not know off hand how to do it.
