There was so much to do and learn; what may I ask were you guys doing at the tiny home festival until 5am? I wanted to tour some of the local builders sites that were there, but I was absolutely tuckered out at the end of each day, and couldn't hang out. This was a great event and wonderful for networking - you're right, I probably walked right past you! 😄

In 1994 I and 4 other progressives professional women started a nonprofit organization located in a forgotten zip code. It saddened me that 3 yrs ago our service closed. Housing is needed because of greed and the baby boomers are taking the majority of the hits on homelessness. One day I will be able to assist those in needs of housing according to Lord Jesus Christ Grace and Mercy. Amen. Faith with works will become reality. Thanks for your program. Outstanding

I am anxious to see this place. I paused when she said it was a former mobile home park - it makes me wonder how close together the homes will be. I live out west where the land is so expensive that they cram the homes together. I visited many of them & could literally pass a cup of sugar out the window to my neighbor. I wish this group the best in their venture!

Based on the images I’ve seen, I think the homes are going to be spaced out well and everyone gets two parking spots too. I am excited about tiny homes. I want to put 2 houses on a lot and this gives me some incite as to where to start. This, lot has all utilities and zoned for houses with a minimum of 400 square feet.
I just attended the Tiny House Festival and didn't know all of this was in North Carolina. There are certainly trailblazers here, and I'm loving it! Keep doing what you are doing!!

Sounds wonderful, especially, because I thought I heard someone say that lots are for sale soon and we can bring our own THOW. However, the brochure showed a lot monthly rental of $650 - I hope this isn't the case for all the lots. I'm seriously interested in having my own place to stay when in NC, so I'll have to contact them with questions.

Hi! Thanks for watching. I'm not sure what you're referring to or why you're making topics such as gender or race political issues. The idea of being grateful for basic things such as housing is a belief that's been put on people in a system that is designed to create conflict. Just to clarify, are you saying conservatives don't talk about gender or race, don't care about gender or race, or don't consider gender or race in their decision making? What are you trying to say?
Depending on where you are, there are communities that rent out sone tiny homes and some on Airbnb. There is Acony Bell in NC, outside of Asheville, and has about 6 tiny hones that rowners rent out; there is a tiny community near Lancaster. Pa.; there are a couple in Colorado; there is TinyLux in Arizona; there is one in Chicago right near Lake Michigan that accepts THOW"s, and RV'S. They also offer sales of tiny homes. If you goggle for info you'll find several in Texas, Washington and Oregon. I 've been investigating tiny builders and communities for about 5 to 6 yrs. and several of the communities I mentioned did not exist 5 to 6 yrs. ago Also, forgot Florida....there are at least 2 communities. One just opened outside of Atlanta, GA. , but thats very recent abd the owner is already planning his next community. He welcome residents earning $50,000 to $1 million./year.....don't know how that will work out !!😮. The largest tiny home builder in the country is located in Newport, Tennessee. One important question I don't remember being discussed in this video is what is she planning to charge to lease the lots, and how large will each lot be. The tiny home movement started as a means to help solve the housing crisis, and homelessness, altruistically speaking. To give people who would never be abke to actually own their own HOME. a chance to own their own home., even if it's only 200 to 400 sq. ft. .Technically, anything over 400 sq ft is not considered a " tiny house".
