Jip, based on the DC9 and they even hide circuit breakers behind the bins in the cockpit on the MD80 'cause of lack of space. Mostly instrument backlighting.

Does sound similar... Its a problem in most aircraft cockpits. If you look at the black box crash investigations and see how many times pilots are overwhelmed and confused due to similar warning sounds....could be a problem unless you spot the problem or realize the mistake quick enough.

Its because I'm an avgeek too. Good luck with the build. I've seen some guys do it on RUclips by ordering pre-made panels. Cant remember from where but do remember that it was expensive. Sell a kidney, rob a bank or something. My little piggy bank has to little money and the Ball and chain will have a fit if I spend about half what my house is worth on "flying" in my lounge. She says sitting in a chair at home is not flying. Clearly does not understand the skill and effort it takes to do it properly.

Wow, couldn't there just be a key to turn in the ignition to start the whole thing up?

Would be nice, but someone will loose it or take it home.....some light aircraft do have keys as an extra measure of protection.

Thanks for the video! We need to have the APU running for at least one minute before we can select bleed air.

Jip and more depending on the FCOM and the company procedures. ( I've been rasped over the knuckles by a few subs.)

Carry on Captain we appreciate this effort of showing us this magnificent plan, it looks exactly like my 737-800X that I am flying in Xplane 11, your APU takes just a bit longer to start than mine with that nice spooling up sound coming up. We're waiting for more clips like this. Thanks a lot.

Its old and takes longer to start like me...No the combustion chamber and plug are a matched set.. Sometimes they get mixed in the stores IPC. Then paperwork screws us. It happens. Waiting for comments on this one...

@@AviationEngineering1972 That's understandable Capt, this beauty is many moons old than many planes out there but we still love it to bits just like you do. 🙏🙏👍👍

When I was kid flying southwest the flight attendant looking at the cockpit and asked the first officer if I could see the cockpit and he said yes and I thought it was so cool because I got to flip the fire alarm on and off

Cool dude.....I've seen when they do the "guns" for the kids. They do the stick shaker test so the control columns rattle and then watch the young faces light up in a smile...
