ArchBishop Vigano is absolutely correct!!! We as Catholics should be committed to the Doctrine & Dogma of the Faith of the Catholics prior to Vatican II. All of our rites were erased & replaced. My great uncle was a priest & he was extremely upset following it. I remember as a child how upset he was! He was also made to retire in his Diocese as were many other priests.
I grew up in the pre-Vatican II era, and I prefer to stay in those days; when Vatican II came along there was nothing but confusion, which tells me Vatican II was wrong, making Bishop Barron wrong, along with all the others who push V-II as absolute truth.
Dr. Marshall, I am a cradle Catholic and I am 69 years old; ALL THESE DECADES I HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING WITH MY FAITH.....( i am NOT BLAMING anyone) ; i am GRATEFUL, THANKFUL ...WHY ? BECAUSE....THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN PRAYING ALL MY LIFE AND THE LORD ANSWER MY PRAYERS...FINALLY, ARCHBISHOP VIGANO CONFIRMED THE whisper i always had these DECADES that something is NOT RIGHT.....NOW I KNOW ARCHBISHOP VIGANO IS CORRECT....THANKS BE TO THE LORD.
I accept all criticism, I am an old school catholic, old school mother, grandmother, I like the 3 piece suits, the long sleeve dresses and skirts below knees at church, communion at railing and on the tongue.
KV V Well, I grew up pre Vatican 2, -I was 14 when it was implemented- and these were the requirements. I do remember being skipped at the railing for communion at age 9 because my sleeves were not below my elbow. So I may not be ancient but I am old. Thank
Sorry this went too fast. Yes I was 14 when Vatican II was implemented. But I do appreciate your comments. Love the Latin mass though. Since have the missal I used when I was 7, taught my kids the Missa Angelorum and many Latin hymnals and with my grandkids even pray the rosary in Latin. Even my 2 year old granddaughter can sing the Salve Regina. So yes I do love the traditional church. God’s blessings.
@@franinator9849 Don't worry Fran. KV V is an old fart. Keep up your beautiful and courageous expression of faith. I do agree with him, though. The modernists gradually shortened the skirts, therefore, probably the longer the better. Also, the longer the skirt, the more feminine and attractive. Impossible to imagine one of the women saints with anything other then long, modest skirts.
When I had been an idealistic youngster I was enthusiastic about Vatican II. It was wonderful to witness the opening of the windows and the letting in of a fresh wind and celebrate a new brotherhood with people of other religions. Today I must sadly admit that I was wrong. The fresh wind did become a desertstorm destroying traditions and values of the holy church of our fathers. Deconstruction has been irreparably damaging the holy mother church and made people leaving in millions.
Guisan51 , I absolutely 💯 with you.. sad, sad . But we can find consolation that Mama Mary is Crushing the head of the Serpent. And in the end Our Lord Jesus Christ will win.
The Lesser Confessor In the meantime, I appreciate the Good Shepherds of the Church ready to call blatant idolatry apostasy, heresy and blasphemy and give us guidance in the midst of much confusion as ugly “messes”!
have faith, the rest opens chasms and discord.. look at the acts... there were apostles that did not want to include gentiles... they reached an agreement and.. here we are, all gentiles and all within our church! Growth is difficult, and humans loath change. Trust Him and walk with him... As for me.. I trust that Francesco is our Pope, as does Ratzinger.
The ppl left after Vat II, not b/c of the council. They left b/c of the sexual scandals. The sexual revolution occurred the same time w Vat II. Mass in multiple languages is great. Have English & Latin. We have Syriac, French, Vietnamese. I grew up w Latin. Sang in choirs. TANTUM Ergo meant nothing to me. English touches my heart. God guide your church, the way You wish it to be. In Jesus name. Amen
We just started going to TLM after the churches reopened... we have driven over an hour just to attend the TLM... We have only been able to go twice but we love it. I was surprised by how many ppl were in attendance in comparison to our NO church... only 20-30% have returned... I was also impressed by all the young families... large families.... I expected an older crowd of ppl... I was impressed with the joy and love radiating from the congregation... I was impressed by the reverence during mass... Driving home we say why has this been hidden from us... I can’t wait to go back!
Dr. Marshall, I am a lifelong, baptized Lutheran who is actively looking into becoming Catholic. I am very drawn to the traditional side of the Church, and have even attended a Latin Mass. Your videos are awesome, and have helped me a great deal in learning more about Catholicism. I long for the day I can go to confession and receive the Eucharist. Keep up the great work. I continue to pray for guidance in this time in my life.
Your story is encouraging to hear. If your in need of a Catechism book there’s a very good one that Dr Marshall has recommended called “My Catholic Faith” by Louis Morrow. I bought it myself even though I’ve been a lifelong Catholic and it’s the best one I’ve ever read. It even goes through the Traditional Latin Mass with pictures to explain things.
My grandmother and many other family were born Lutheran. As converts they were the most pious people I’ve ever met! God bless you on your journey. You’ll be in my prayers
I’m learning Latin, happily as in all missals Latin is on one side of the page and English on the other which helps tremendously. The mass itself is beautiful but what really attracted me is the prayers of the Latin mass, sooo beautiful. I don’t know of missals in Hebrew so that wouldn’t be practical

I went to Taylor Marshall's home church last Saturday. I have no idea what they were saying, but the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, TLM style, absolutely blew me away. I left the bldg, and nothing has been the same since - Ave Maria!
My concern with NO priest in general is that they speak of God’s mercy and that is great; however, they don’t speak of the other side of the scale.. God’s justice. In reality I NEED to be reminded of his “just” nature as well. I am praying that my love will be so great that it will be my motivating factor, but for now I need Holy fear as well.
Mostly young priests are preaching the true Gospel, for example that hell is not empty. Sadly not all are backed by their bishops and some get suspended.
I agree both of you are right, I grew up in 80s hearing about mercy and love and corny sermons, I wish they would have been well formed and preached of hell, repentance, conversion, sacrifice and reparation that’s why I no longer attend a NO parish
Mercy has no meaning without judgment (and justice) - just like white has no meaning without black and man has no meaning without woman, child has no meaning without adult etc.....
Archbishop Vigano is a true doctor of the Church providing a clear understanding of our faith. If he were pope I trust the Vatican would be cleaned out and its light restored to the world.
Thank you Dr Taylor Marshall for keeping all of us in prayer who are still not able to receive the sacraments from past almost 5 months now. Currently am in Mumbai, India and there is no news of opening up churches as cases are high as well being densely populated but would have loved to be somewhere else and probably in a Latin Mass Parish anywhere around the world
I love India and the wonderful Indian people. May coronavirus soon disappear from your country and may Heaven bless you, dear Jerry Dias. From Switzerland kindest regards !
I pray for all Christians around the World. Especially those of our dear brothers and sisters who live in a minority or minority persecuted part of the world
Thank you dear friend for your faithful witness. You are more than a friend but my family in the one, true Catholic Church. Let us pray for one another.
I choose and believe and trust to the Church of yesterday....the Traditional Latin Mass....I am so grateful and thankful to find the Traditional Latin Mass. Blessed be the Tradition Church! Please let us go back to the tradition...to the root. JESUS IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER, SO IS HIS BODY, THE CHURCH THAT THE CHURCH FATHERS HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING, THE TRADITION! AMEN. Jesus found the Church, not the priests!
I am talking about the traditional Mass from our Church Fathers... that is the “ yesterday “ Church. Novus Ordo Mass has existed just 50 years ago. There is only One Catholic Church and I love the Traditional Latin Mass.
Love does not always go to the prettier.. look at your heart, look at the history of our church, the schismatic divide often time, rarely are the divisions healed.
What did Jesus say? Only a few are walking on the narrow path for salvation while the lot many are walking on the wide road to perdition. This has been repeated many times by our Blessed Virgin Mary during apparitions. Who will you believe? this misleading Barron or Jesus Christ.? Choice is ours.
There is only One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church and Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father. The other avenues do not lead to the Father. The Covenant that Jesus made with the world is the only valid covenant, that’s why He is called the Savior of the world. Amen!
Leonardo's Truth you have the right to report me to your friend Jorge Mario Bergoglio but that won’t change the TRUTH. I do have the highest respect for your scrolls. Thank you for your reply.
Jeff McGinn yes you are right Jeff McGinn, salvation comes through Jesus Christ and through his Catholic Church and not through the Pope, but especially not through evangelicals who are constantly attacking his Church.
Since God is outside of time, Jesus ascended is also outside of time, the Spirit is out of time, how can there be a yesterday, today and tomorrow? For God time does not exist, therefore, how can the Church change the teachings which came from God, in order to modernize the Church. Modern is only for human beings, not God and all those teachings which come from only Him.
Michael Speyrer no we do not but the Church triumphant and suffering sure does. And the law we are to be judged by most certainly resides in our Blessed Lord and He is outside time and unchanging as scripture says.
@@michaelspeyrer1264 Christ is outside of time, not talking about eternity here. It is a different concept. Also, He is unchanging and so is the truth He teaches.
Revelation is becoming philosophy in these time through our greater understanding of natural law. Since the resurrection there has been a transformation of consciousness through the Holy Spirit. This is what led to true science. The method that has allowed people to understand nature in more defined ways. Unfortunately, deceptive people have misled through media and state sponsored schooling and hidden the truth of our Lord sovereignty. We now see this ambiguity in the churches. This is the insidious evil of Vatican 2. It's a distortion of the truth. Rather than bringing greater clarity as should be in this time, it bring vague, ambiguous assertion with no foundation that stands up to the rigors of evidence and reason. I suspect this was intentional, and is being perpetrated as a means to destroy the faith.
Michael Speyrer what you point out has nothing to do with what was being discussed here in the podcast. You mention defining dogma the podcast mentions interpretation of Teaching versus changing dogma. The latter can not be done as Catholics own submission to all popes and magisterium not just the current one. That’s why we are in the problem we are in. The present pontificate seems to contradict past teaching and won’t clarify the position.
Christ will never change His True Catholic Church. Not even when He comes again. That was the True Catholic Church which existed before Vatican II. Period.
The only consistent thing in this world is change, this is a law for man. This is why we turn to God who is always and forever unchanging. That is how we find our strength and our rock to cling to
I grew up as a Protestant. I got married at 25 and became a Catholic. Becoming a Catholic was the best thing that ever happened to me. Thank you for showing me the bigger picture of being a Catholic. I remember what Chesterton said in Orthodoxy, “We have not any need to rebel against antiquity; we have to rebel against novelty.” God bless you!
Dr. Marshall, please do a show on Our Lady of Good Success, who spoke exactly about this time. It is not a well known apparition, but it most certainly should be!!!!!
Dr Marshall, I love listening to what you have to say. Just imagine how powerful, faithful and holy the Church would be if every Pope, Bishop and Priest spoke like this!
Hello. Dr. Taylor my name is Brian Engo I really enjoy your videos I watch them every night my brother is a traditional Capuchin priest and I have two nephews in the seminar and my niece is a Franciscan sisters, please pray for me as I apply for the permanent deaconate
Thanks be to God for Shepards like Archbishop Vigano. has opened my family's eyes and are beginning the learn ecclesiastical Latin to be full time Traditional Latin Mass parishioners!!!
I thought I had lost my mind till I heard your traditional break down. Cant thank you enough God bless you and your family. I pray you spread a traditional wave and lost soles can be found, healed, and brought to our Lord
I have started attending Mass everyday. In the beginning of Covid-19 I viewed Mass online because our church was closed. Then Mass was only on Sundays in our gym. I was hesitant to attend Mass but the Eucharist was brought outside to those of us who were fearful and that was wonderful. I guess in my thoughts to God I made a promise that if our vacation in Florida was a success (especially for me) I would start attending daily Mass. I must say though that there is something different, something is missing. Maybe it's an irreverence but everyone who is there because they do love the Lord. I can say one thing that causes me grief. We all know the prayers and our responses in the Mass. People are reciting them; not praying them. I can never keep up. You pray the same way - fast like a speeding bullet. I wish people would just slow down when they pray.
Thank God for Archbishop Vigano- he has clearly been raised up by God for these crazy times of modernists nonsense🙏 I was talking to a woman in her 80’s who is a retired teacher & she said a Priest at a parents meeting stated that he didn’t want to hear anything Pre Vatican 11! She asked him “are we to forget about the 10 Commandments!” The people in the room clapped!
For several months now, +Vigano has referred to Benedict XVI as the Holy Father and Bergoglio as...Bergoglio. Do the math. +Vigano was the nuncio to the US until removed by Bergoglio. There is a reason why he has been dealing more directly and pastorally with the US as of late.
Vigano is right. I was born in 1965 and raised Catholic in Australia. I spent 4 years in a progressive seminary and attended a progressive Theological college for my degree studies ... late 80s and early 90s. We studied the writings of Congar, Kung, Von Balthazar etc. I even remember one lecturer, a priest, saying that "perhaps the Apostles never actually SAW the Risen Jesus. They EXPERIENCED Him as being risen." Very ambiguous language but not knowing any better, I ate it up as did other seminarians. I shiver now thinking about it. I subscribe to your channel Dr Marshall and like a lot of what you say. I'm a daily Rosary man and try to pass on the true faith to my girls 😁👍St Pius X, pray for us.
Dr Taylor Marshall thank you for your work in bringing out what is the truth of God amongst the swamp of these bishops and radical priests. It is disheartening. I realize that God wants us to be courageous in his truth. Thank you Thank you Thank you
OK... I forgot to mention: We are defending the Church of YESTERDAY. Thousands of Catholics (Christians) died to protect the TRUTH for the past 2,000 years. Our Faith has a Born On Date with Christ, but does not Expire like milk & eggs. Same, Same Same...
I go to a TLM every Sunday and I confessed sin of sacrileges when I received the Body of Christ on my hand at NO masses before I started coming to the TLM, the priest said yes receiving the Body of Christ on the hand is a sacrilege.
I just watched Barron’s recent video on V2. He is very hard on the “social media voices” but never mentions Vigano or Schneider which I find interesting. I just commented to the video: “Can you address other fellow bishops who are questioning V2? These social media voices you speak of are taking their lead from them (Vigano and Schneider in particular).” Lets see.
He rarely ever mentions Christ, the Holy Trinity, our Blessed Mother, the Saints in his short little video spectacles either. That always is a big 'Stand-Out' for me when I watch his cringy 2-3min talks. I'll probably burn in hell for saying this, but his whole body language is fake too as I see it. The sad thing is, his fans think he's wonderful!
Martin Bradley Good point; I’ve noticed how much about himself all of his videos truly are,. Unfortunately, I believe he has squandered his considerable talents in pandering to the clericalism and politics of the Catholic Church in order to feather his own nest and in doing so has joined the 🌎 worldliness of the New World Order that modernism supports. Pray for Barron.
You are absolutely correct in your observations re past, present and future applications of the Church. I always defend the Traditional Practices and values as telling people that WE ARE TO BE TRUE AND FAITHFUL WITNESSES OF THE "WORD OF GOD AND THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS CHRIST" - the New Covenant. Yesterday, today and tomorrow. Always a faithful witness. Thank you for your Witness. Ave Maria. Amen.
Hye Dr Marshall, just wanna say thank you. Appreciate all the work and effort you put in bringing forward the truth, less we get driven away by the modern teaching. Much love From Borneo.
As a former Muslim turned Protestant then Orthodox and now Catholic.. I am heavily scandalised by the church of 'today'. Where is beauty? Where is spirituality? Where is piety and holiness? Where is honour and respect for God? Where is sanctity in humankind? Where is reverence in worship? Where is awe of creation? These were all my questions and never got answered.. just kept being told to shut up.. I'm tired of being quiet and being judged and rebuked by priests simply for kneeling for our Lord... or in our times simply for asking to receive on the tongue..
Father Phillip Wolfe! His sermons catechized me via the Veritas Caritas podcast, and although I’m a cradle Catholic, it was as if I was being introduced to Catholicism for the very first time.
Dr Marshal, I have been to the Mass of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter which has its only one parish in Orlando. It is celebrated by the priest “ad orientem” and communion is on the mouth kneeling, altar rails, bells, women veils, male only acolytes, etc. I came to know that the Personal Ordinariate has kept this tradition that dates back from the 15th century. The manner in which the holy Mass is celebrated is similar to the Traditional Latin Mass. There has been a common saying that the Personal Ordinariate is a “Latin Mass” said in (Old) English. It is very reverend and it is a “breather” for me when I attended the Mass. I was overjoyed and thank the Lord for finding such a parish - and this parish is GROWING even in the midst of this Chinese virus pandemic compared to the other parishes here that is under the diocese of Orlando. The Personal Ordinariate is not within the jurisdiction of the Orlando diocese. The Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter also has a mission Church nearby called St John Fisher Catholic Church. This will be the second parish in the area.
I CHOOSE JESUS AND THE APOSTLES. I AM TIRED OF SHEPHERD BOWING TO THE WORLD! WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR SHEPHERDS? DO THEY HONESTLY THINK JESUS CANNOT SUSTAIN HIS CHURCH? WE HAVE TO BOW TO THE WORLD? NO! LET THE WORLD BOW AND BEND THE KNEE TO JESUS CHRIST!
I find it interesting how it is believed that the 1917 canon law is no longer valid when the 1984 canon references the 1917 canon in a number of places. 🙄 Thank you A.B. Viganó. Great stuff Dr. Taylor.
I'm quite surprised how many of you guys are here. Vatican II was indeed the breath of fresh air we needed in Africa. It helped evangelise so many in my country Nigeria. Latin is Beautiful, but so are the different indigenous languages in my country. With the New rites and catechises is easier for concerts to understand the substance of what we do in my opinion. What I will say is that, the Trendantine mass and some of the older rites should still be practiced on special occasions so that the church does not forget. In Nigeria we only know the Nouveau Ordo and the post Vatican II rites. It does not make us less reverent, less orthodox or less Catholic. Talk to any of our bishops, including Cardinal Arinze about discipline of the sacraments. In most dioceses here women must cover their hair and wear only women's clothing (no trousers) The problem you have with John Paul, Benedict and Francis is an American problem. (Western Problem) You guys should take time to watch mass in Nigeria, Ghana or other English speaking country so you can witness our expression of our shared faith. LUMEN CRISTY 7.35am GMT on Sundays. Mass from the Holy Cross Cathedral Lagos is covered live. The Arch Bishop is usually officiating.
@@michaelspeyrer1264 how can we reject or accept vague and contradictory interpretation, which can be used to support clearly heretical activity: pachamama, and other examples of mixing dogma from other believes which is not relevant to being a follower of Christ and his teachings. By trying to be more inclusive, the church is losing its ability to save people's soul, and it's obvious if you look at the attendance over the last few decades since the council. Plus the people who love Vatican two are protecting known criminals so they are not as holy as the office they hold.
@@michaelspeyrer1264 I think you are correct in your interpretation, but Pope's are not infallible, I seriously doubt the Pope's before the council would agree to how it's interpretation has changed the daily practice of Catholicism, not to mention the very real scandal facing the church from the results of the change in standards regarding who is promoted to eminence, all the answers are in the back of the book.
@@michaelspeyrer1264 the Pope's personal opinion is not infallible, the Pope is infallible when he is teaching according to church doctrine, a Pope teaching heresy is a heretic.
@@michaelspeyrer1264 if I can make this good an argument and I only converted two months ago after being a neo pagan my whole life the pope has some serious problems.
ARCHBISHOP VIGANO IS THE MAN OF GOD WHO SHOULD BE LEADING HOLY MOTHER CHURCH. I WISH I COULD REQUEST THE PRIVILEGE OF BEING ORDAINED BY HIM. IT WOULD BE MY DREAM COME TRUE
I became a Catholic because I believe that dogmas and doctrines have never and will never change, except to become more clearly stated. This is why from the very beginning of my RCIA classes, I always compared the teachings we received to the Roman Catechism and the Church Fathers.
Vatican II did not "throw out" the doctrines of the past. In fact, it kept the Latin Mass and re-enacted the rights of the Eastern Chruches in regards to their use of their own vestments and traditions. It did introduce the Novus Ordo along side of the Latin Mass. And it did, change Canon Laws. It was in meetings after the council, that modernists distorted what happened in the council and confused the faithful.
If one reads Keys of this Blood by Malachi Martin, page 600 something, He states that all of the Bishops voted for keeping Latin in the Canon of the Mass. and were open to the possibility of some change in the parts other than the Canon.
I was approximately 9 when they switched to NO. There was no choice at that time to attend a Latin Mass. They had told us that it wasn't offered anymore. We were forced into NO or no Mass at all. MANY left the church at that time and never came back.
@@mjseven55 yes, that is what a retired priest told me after Mass this afternoon. Decades ago, he was even placed on a 10 (ten!!) year "disciplinary ban" by his bishop because he refused to stop having Latin Mass. He has a big smile now to see that TLM is back, FINALLY.
Placing the Mass of All Time next to the Novus Ordo Missae and saying they are "equal " is part of the false ecumenism of Vatican II because the Novus Ordo Missae is just a protestant service. The two are not "equal" in any sense. They are totally different. The TLM is God centered while the Novus Ordo Missae is man centered. Lex Orandi, lex credendi. They cannot exist side by side in the same Church.
Yes I agree that some distorted and destroyed the faith but what about the millions of faithful Catholic priests and Bishops and faithful scholars guided by truth and the light of the Holy Spirit and amazing grace who hand the faith on in its fullness?
Fyi, Dr Marshall explains modernism in his book, Infiltration. I seem to remember him explain most of those book chapters in previous videos in 2018. Look at his personal StaySalty website
Dr. Marshall, I agree in the main with what you have to say in this post as in others. I don't wish to defend everything bishop Barron says or fails to say--I am grateful that he has spoken out on important topics when so many of our pastors lack the imagination or the energies to do so. Vatican II was not the next best thing to green cheese. It was a mixed bag, as has been its implementation. But I think we should try harder to see the positive developments that have come from it and that may and should still come. And I would like to suggest a few of the changes I have seen. I am 77 years of age and was born and raised before the Council. Among good things that have happened are especially those which concern some aspects of praxis. E.G., the post-conciliar emphasis on the meaning and importance of the Eucharist has been very significant. It is not new, but continues the very dramatic move against the Jansenism of earlier centuries, and in doing so supports the direction which Pope St. Pius X led the Church. My own parents were raised at a time when many devout lay people didn't dare approach the Eucharist more frequently than once every month, if that frequently. Yes, today we have too many people who may receive the Eucharist unworthily--actually. we are all unworthy--but the Eucharist is a great gift of God, bound up with the very saving acts of our Lord Jesus Christ. Rhank God that frequent reception of the Eucharist is now encouraged. And if the closed church of this pandemic has taught us anything, it is that we need the Eucharist. Televised Masses do not satisfy the deepest longing we have for Communion with God in the Mystical Body. What we also need is frequent and clearer teaching on what the Eucharist is. on why we need it, and on what constitutes proper devotion to the Eucharist. It's true that not all the liturgical changes (in Mass and in the other sacraments) have been particularly valuable or even helpful--that is the subject many book-length discussions. Besides the greater encouragement just noted of devotion to our Eucharistic Lord, there have been other liturgical changes of value. The most dramatic have been in the liturgies of Holy Week, discussed for decades before the Council, and actually begun to be implemented in the 1950s by Pope Pius XIi. Likewise, the changes in the Divine Office (Liturgy of the hours) have been beneficial because they have brought in more readings (the 4-week cycle of the psalms, recited in total, along with a cut back in the number of psalms prayed largely ilas mere individual verses--brief snippets). We have been exposed to more of Sacred Scripture, especially to the Psamls, which has been described as the Prayer book of the Holy Spirit. The changes have enriched this prayer of the Church. Also, before the Council the Office was generally understood as the duty (officium means "duty") to be prayed predominantly by the clergy and some (not all) religious. The encouragement of the post-Conciliar Church to the laity to pray the entire daily Office or at least of parts of the Office frequently, if not daily, has been of enormous spiritual benefit to tens of thousands. Again, what has been lacking has been the teaching and implementation of the Church's intentions in this post-Conciliar periods. There is no doubt that the Church is going through a grievous period in her history, and that there have been great problems since the Council. To charge them all to the council--and that is not what Archbishop Vigano or Bishop Scneider have done--is lopsided. Thank God these two prelates are speaking out as they do. We need more of our bishops and priests to join them. On the other hand. and this precedes the Council by a couple of centuries, we no longer consider it moral or right that one man should own another as a slave, even though St. Paul does not condemn slavery, but encourages slaves to obey their masters. The condemnation of slavery is relatively new in the Church (I think a 15th century pope was the first to condemn the practice). The implications of that change are reflected especially in the writings and encyclical of recent Popes. Given recent historical philosophical movements (especially fascism and communism, but also consumerism, pragmatism, and the whole abortion movement--abortion itself was condemned as early as the first century in the Didache or Teaching of the Twelve Apostles, an ancient Church manual written even before the earliest written Gospels), the need to uphold the dignity of every human life from conception to natural death has been of paramount importance. The same could be said about a far more banal subject--usury, the nature and morality of which has been overlooked at some points in the Church's history (eg now, when there are loan companies, including those offering credit cards, that charge interest rates of over 20% per annum). The contemporary Church seems to have little to say about the impact of usury on the lives of the poor, yet was stoutly condemned at other times. Why are social justice advocates in the church addressing this problem with practical programs?. There were ages and places when working class men could not be ordained priests, but could only serve as lay brothers; so too, women of the lower classes could not become "nuns", but only lay sisters. Vatican Ii put aside those secular customs and standards, and treated every vocation with equalrespect. Vatican II has not been an unmitigated failure. It has problems, to be sure. It also had positive results. I think that focusing on the positives ultimately more productive than simply condemning the negative.
Glory Be to The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost - as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be. World without end. Amen. That says it all right there!

Taylor, you are making a lot of sense, and I am so happy that you are helping us to understand what is going on in the church. Thank you for helping us and God Bless you.
Great explanation of Bp. Vigao's comments. Bp. Baron in my opinion, is the NCCB's rising star and P.R. man for the faithful. Many today seem to hang on everything he says and does and obviously he has his fellow bishops backing and financial support.. Unfortunately a lot of folks don't see through the politics and strategy of all this.
Dr Marshall, from my studies on the work of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, this quotation referenced by Bishop Barron, to which Archbishop Vigano responds - seems to be a strange quotation attributed to Pope Benedict XVI. I doubt that Bishop Barron would not attribute correctly- but I just wonder if this is a sort of “ proof texting”, i.e., from where did this quotation emerge? Citation, date, wider context from which this passage is taken? To me this is essential factor - very important information to understand and to assess in this discussion -I think - what is your opinion? Dr Joan DiGregorio
I converted to Catholicism for its undeniable history going back to Saint Peter and the Apostles. Vatican 2 seems like an exercise in pride by the council members. They knew better than their forefathers of the preceding 1965 years.
At times Doctor we are going to be called to fight for our FAITH!! and we will be martyred for it.. but that's okay because we don't live for this life we live for the Glory of GOD.. good show doc..
Also, I am a convert from fundamentalism. I would never have become a Catholic had I not understood the Mass in ENGLISH. I'm definitely not against the Latin Mass. But we do have to evangelize so people outside the Church can understand.
Also, I'd like to thank you for recognizing the Eastern Church Divine Liturgy in today's intro. I left the Latin Church (because of modernisim) and joined the Byzantine Rite, Italo-Greek Byzantine Catholic Church. Perhaps had I been able to find a traditional Latin Mass here in Las Vegas, I would have remained in the Latin Church...but alas....God sent me to the East.
Our Lady of Wisdom. I attended there when I was in the seminary, and I saw Fr. Francis Vivona build the parish hall and then the church. I learned my work ethic as a priest primarily from him.
Archbishop Coleridge, Brisbane, Australia, has just banned communion on the tongue. Prior to this it was just strongly discouraged. Thank you for the Prayer this morning.
Justin Olesen according to the email my parish sent out last Friday, after the Northern Deanery priests meeting it is true. Evidently, because some people have complained about others receiving on the tongue, there is a new rule. There is fear that Qld health will ask for these parishes/masses to be closed, he has said no communion on the tongue any longer. I would really like this not to be true. If you have any information that counters the parish letter I received I would be very grateful. Thanks
Michael Speyrer wrong again. His position does not deny Vat I. Vat I says when a pope identifies issues that are dogmatic and deal with matters of faith and morals as Ex Cathedra, then these are infallible. If not, they can still be argued. That is what we are talking about here. You are not addressing the issue at hand. Can a pope teach in contradiction to previous pope’s teaching given we are all required to submit to magisterial teaching? That’s what TM is asking.
Thank you for the Our Father for those who cannot receive Communion! I unfortunately am in that boat, but am incredibly thankful to have found a TLM online that I do daily!
Thank you for this. I can't believe in the church of 'now' one reason why is that it tries to take away my Catholic Heritage. I'm part of my parents, grandparents and back thru history to each and every Catholic. They, good and bad, are part of me my Faith in the one true God and the Catholic Triumphant, Millitant and Suffering Church in time and eternity. The modernists have attempted to bring the cancel culture into the Church. I'm not buying it.
Who is right? Vigano or Barron? Please Like this video with Thumbs Up Button 👍🏻 and Share this video on Facebook using the "Share" Button next to Like Button.
Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano is right.
Archbishop Vigano is right, and I believe in the church before Vatican II.
Vigano, hands down
I grew up in the pre-Vatican II era, and I prefer to stay in those days; when Vatican II came along there was nothing but confusion, which tells me Vatican II was wrong, making Bishop Barron wrong, along with all the others who push V-II as absolute truth.

And the veil for women...very beautiful and feminine!!!
G B Yes oh yes, have 4 of them!

I am so grateful I found the Latin Mass because in it I found TRUTH.
Mary Casper really ? Do you speak Latin? Maybe we should go back to Jesus time and speak the hebrew language

Teresa Baker-Carl exactly.

Yes the church is unchanging. Christ is for ever, He is the only one who can change it when He comes back.
No. The Church *as evident* does change and especially did in Vatican II. The basics do not change, if you do not let Vatican II change you.
Period.

I have started attending Mass everyday. In the beginning of Covid-19 I viewed Mass online because our church was closed. Then Mass was only on Sundays in our gym. I was hesitant to attend Mass but the Eucharist was brought outside to those of us who were fearful and that was wonderful. Vigano is right. I was born in 1965 and raised Catholic in Australia. I spent 4 years in a progressive seminary and attended a progressive Theological college for my degree studies ... late 80s and early 90s. (Western Problem)
You guys should take time to watch mass in Nigeria, Ghana or other English speaking country so you can witness our expression of our shared faith. LUMEN CRISTY 7.35am GMT on Sundays. Mass from the Holy Cross Cathedral Lagos is covered live. The Arch Bishop is usually officiating.

GOD"s blessing for sharing....we continue to pray for the only Holy ,Catholic ,Apostolic church in JESUS Mercy with Mother MARY mantle of protection to all her children devoted to her praying the rosary without ceasing for MIRACLES in the making......... greetings from Finland with love, prayers & respect as always
Truth is unchanging. It is always true.
The law and rules of morality never change yesterday, today and to morrow What Jesus teaches us remain the same. Thumbs Up for Vigano
To me this is essential factor - very important information to understand and to assess in this discussion -I think - what is your
opinion? Dr Joan DiGregorio
I converted to Catholicism for its undeniable history going back to Saint Peter and the Apostles. Vatican 2 seems like an exercise in pride by the council members. They knew better than their forefathers of the preceding 1965 years.
The Church of What's Happening Now.
James Smith
Very funny ! Very astute !
Your description is that of the Church of England.
@@jamesgibson2179 I am not that astute. I am, however, old enough to remember a comedian by the name of Flip Wilson.
You're doing good Taylor! Your clarity and courage strengthens our Faith. Tradition wins..
I go with Tradition. I pray for Pope FRANCIS, cardinals, bishops and priest! Poor faithful, we dont deserve this.😢
At times Doctor we are going to be called to fight for our FAITH!! and we will be martyred for it.. but that's okay because we don't live for this life we live for the Glory of GOD.. good show doc..
Happy Birthday Beckett. Today is also my Husband’s Birthday.
🥰🙏💖HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO U HANDSOME BOY. MAY GOD.. PROTECT.. GUIDE & BLESS U & UR FAMILY ALWAYS💖🙏🥰
Another informative show, Dr Marshall, Amen
Thanks
“...the blood of the new and EVERLASTING covenant...”
Our Lord and God, final judge and redeemer. I’ll go with tradition.
Michael Speyrer so who said they are not? But we have Bishop interpreting differently from other bishops. So smart guy my comment still stands.
Humanity can destroy themselves into oblivion, yet the earth continues to spin along with the spirit GOD and whoever let his spirit enter lives on...
Amen
