Actual technical question. Is there any purpose to trimming the edge of the cake other than exposing more cake board? If not......why not chose a slightly larger cake board? This seems like such a simple fix I must be missing something here. lol

Put the cake on a larger board and do the final decorating, chill, then transport with a cake dome, cake Porter, or cake box you can find at a local craft or pastry supply store. And drive carefully!

Is it possible that some recipes are built that way or am I doing something crazy. I can understand that some recipes bake into moist cakes while some will produce dry cakes, but will they be sticky?

I am absolutely sure- a scraping technique was applied and a gloss was sprayed, which is not shared with the viewers

I also notice this when I store my swiss meringue buttercream. When I take it out and time passes and it comes to room temperature then it’s texture like curdle one and when I whip up on high speed then shine comes back. Plz help me how to solve delivery time issue. Mine doesn’t shine at all although it taste good.

Most cakes either sink in the middle or have a little hill. That's why bakers have to trim them.
