    Yes, the cake layers seem burnt, but that's not the point of this video. Our focus should be on the decorating, which is phenomenal

    Hey just a tip in case someone was new to decorating cakes here, if youre not used to using an offset spatula when decorating your cake with your decorating frosting (Not the crumb coat) i strongly suggest using a piping bag to put the icing on then use your pastry scraper to smooth the sides, personally i think it gets the icing on quicker which is important to do so before your crumb coat softens or you could wind up with crumbs in your decorating icing :C

    • @anonymous5583
      @anonymous5583 5 лет назад +1

      Also i suggest against the chocolate "chips" as they have stabilizers in them which adds to seizing the chocolate when making a ganache candy melts or a good old fashioned bar of chocolate would be the best choice.

    Tried it, failed miserably before I even got to the drip part! My icing was too stiff (I realised this too late) I'm not sure if it's too cold in my kitchen or I didn't add enough fluids... is there a way to smooth it out once it's hardened? I also tried to make it a very pale blue, but the cap fell off and I'm getting some Cookie Monster vibes. Oops.

    I think this video is great, really thorough. For everyone who is leaving nasty comments saying the cake is burnt... its not. The cake naturally colours from the baking of the metal tins. Its optional whether to cut it off but no one really sees it anyway.
    Can i ask what nozzle you used to pope at the end and wat size/make tins you used. Do you have any buttercream and vanilla cake recipe quantities to hand?
    Thank you!

I am looking forward to whatever you will share with us, but I would especially love to hear you talk about the ideas and inspirations behind your cakes (all the artistic aspects, basically) and also about your time studying Pâtisserie (what these studies entail, the courses you took etc.), if that fits your concept of this channel, of course.
