This video addresses the concerns from customers about the strength and performance of the Sigala Designs Z07 style wing on the base model C8

Sagala designs did that...
I've actually seen a few people on here have the same issues with installing it and had to shave it down to fit .....And yeah I think a couple more mounting points will make it much better. Good work though figuring it out!! Looks great!!
Thanks. Many aftermarket companies like this don’t have professional engineers working for them. Just someone who knows how to do modeling on CAD. They have no idea about stack-up tolerance and sufficient clearance. But when people tell them their stuff don’t fit right, they turnaround and tell us that we install it wrong!
Saw your video and your car looks amazing. We are close to shipping out 1000 of these spoilers out. No one has needed to do as much work as possible. You were installing the spoiler wrong the whole time. You needed 2 people to install the rear bumper. All you needed to do is angle the bumper from bottom to top and hang over the top of the bumper. That was it. No need to shave anything ever.
We are so sure that we would send you another bracket and see the difference.

How long is the wait for delivery? Is it still a few months?
Thanks for getting with me on this. You guys built and delivered a great and quality product. On the fitment issues, my son and I tried everything, including coming in at an angle and hang it at the top, like you suggested. Everything is so tight. Keep in mind that you still need to line up with the stud on the 2 sides of the bumper. Maybe the build tolerance on my car is slightly different than others. All I am saying is that your bracket fit way too tight into the car cavity. Any misalignment will present a problem to installers. You need to think about stack-up tolerances. No 2 cars will have the same build dimensions. Give it more clearance. Move your mounting holes out a bit. I am an engineer. I design and install machinery for many years. I know what I am taking about!

@@ktgarage1126 thanks for responding! I’m new to your channel and I really appreciate that you showed your real experience installing this wing. I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews about it on forums, fb, and ig but this is the first video that really shows the challenges that people are facing. It helps a lot with decision making. I actually ordered my z51 without a wing at all because I intended on buying this one and didn’t want to have to worry about the holes lol
@@_Car_IdeasGlad you found the video helpful. It’s a bit tricky with the fitment, but manageable. Just make sure you have someone to help. Very difficult to man handle everything yourself. Good luck with your install. Get the full carbon fiber one. It’s worth every penny.
Having the EXACT same issue. Not fun to deal with. Also the holes on tue carbon fiber reinforcement did not match the holes on the wing. Had to oval out the fiberglass holes and bumper. Not ideal. Ya tue clearances are garbage. Very frustrating

Uh, this might actually work for down force folks. Its sits directly in the path of the clean air stream, and I'm not joking around.
I have the same issue and I intall mine back in december 2021. so many issues i did not get the cover for the hole I order painted plus fitment with the bracket.
Thanks for the feedback. You can see a response from Sigala on this post that they blame the installer for not installing it properly. Until they realize that they have a problem, this will never get fixed!
Have you considered the Z06 front bumper kit from Sigala? Or know anyone that uses it?

Probably not. I don’t think it’s worth the trouble to do the conversion.
I wonder if this one is more sturdy because it’s carbon fiber vs their carbon flash metallic.
I think the fiberglass version will deflect a bit more, but as long as the 2 posts are rigid, they should be fine… it’s not much more to go with carbon fiber. I highly recommend it.
does the spoiler vibrate or wobble when on the highway at speed?
Not on my install. I believe the way I secured the bumper with the extra screws really help! Had it on a track over 130. No problem

Instead of letting us HEAR the car, .. how about backing it out of the garage .. and letting us SEE THE CAR??? ... I'm sure it's beautiful, but feel cheated out of getting to actually see it !!!
