Finally, something else 3D Printable for the Beretta 92 platform. I know there’s a Mag Well available, but not much else, until now‼️ Thank you Booligan 👍
The Beretta 92/96 platform is puts a large amount of stress on the rails. It makes for the longest lasting handgun(92FS and later) according to military testing. But this makes steel rails necessary for successive mag dumps across thousands of rounds. A rail insert with carbon fiber nylon(or nicer engineering filaments) could make it similar in durability to the original. I wonder if the design will incorporate AVES rails that they will sell. That would be ideal in my opinion.
@@defaulttarms9561 I don't expect PLA+ to tolerate as much successive firing as a steel frame can. The filament needs to be extremely high temp and strong at those temps for the same performance. Pins through rails and super high temp filament is the only way for similar performance. Or the use of polymer cased ammunition could also be used. It could reduce the temperature to one third that of regular ammunition. The USA uses it in the next gen rifles currently being manufactured.

Great builds! I’m looking into printing but I have no idea where to start as far as what type of 3D printer I would need to get started. Any suggestions? Thanks!
The 26 grip is nice, because it's easier to conceal... and the longer barrel is nice, because it makes it more comfortable to carry IWB. The longer barrel reduces the feeling of the gun wanting to tip out of the person's belt when leaning forward. With smaller guns like the G26, P365, etc... and them having heavier grips, when a person leans forward at all, that weight makes it want to tip outward, which causes the muzzle do kinda dig into your lower abdomen there. A good belt can fix that, but even with a good belt, having a longer slide still makes it more comfortable and more stable. A lot of people that own a G43 or G43X actually carry them in G48 holsters, because it's more comfortable. I'm sure many people that carry a P365 do the same thing, carrying them in a P365xl holster.

As a Beretta fan I have so many questions about the 92 frame. I'd love to have a polymer framed 92FS. How is the locking block situated? I wouldn't think that polymer is strong enough to work with the locking block. Is PLA+ strong enough for the slide rails or did someone create metal frame rails? Please keep us updated on this project. I'd love to see how it turns out. If it's successful I'll have to buy a printer and start learning how to use it. I like to go with the prefix of: L means longer slide, X means longer frame. So a 19X is what we know it as, a 19L is a 19 with a 17 slide, and what would be a 19XL is just a 17. So with this I guess you made a 26L

When designs are released, people frequently end up buying all the kits. There's nothing that we designers can do about people buying up kits and scalping them. That's why we generally don't release specifics about what kits are needed until things are formally released. We design frames for parts kits that are available, otherwise what would be the point for us to design them? Some kits, just by the fact that they're not in production anymore, are going to be limited in quantity. Nobody is making new police surplus FNS kits, for example. They sat on the market for YEARS for cheap until people designed frames for them. I'm sorry that you're slow on the draw to pick up kits when things are announced. The FNS kits disappeared for fair prices overnight after PSR did a video showing how cheap the builds can be. But you can still find them for a premium from unscrupulous sellers. Mac kits continue to be produced, you just have to pay attention to the manufacturers when they announce they're available. The XD frame designs are in the works both on DetDisp and AWCY. They'll be released when the designers decide to release them. Betas are generally open. Anyone can participate in them if they're involved in the community. It's weird how I can't CAD very well, yet so many other designs in the community are based off of my designs. And how many people that you are referencing right now got started designing things at all based on my work. Kinda weird in that way. You're definitely free to, you know, not print my designs. You may not like the aesthetics, but I do, and that's who I design for. Myself. The fact that thousands of other people like it as well and choose to print the work that I do for free for this community is a testament that maybe other people like the designs as well. Best of luck in the future. Maybe be less of a dick and maybe people will help you out, point you in the direction of betas, etc. As for me, I'll continue to design what I want for the kits that I want, because I don't do this for people like you :)

Are you talking about XDs? There are several XD frame designs being worked on. I’ve shown one a few times.
And Beretta kits are frequently available for dirt cheap, that’s why someone designed frames for them.
@@booliganshootingsports man i been lookig for a bobkat kit for mounths cant find one try finding a fn 40 kit or a mac11 parts kit and who makes the xds im not sure about them but like vin said you guy buy all the kits when the design is in beta then whe it drops its none for the avarage dude to graband just got it you want to know what design you made that i think is ulgy lol all of them everybody in the community knows booligan cant cad for shit but no one says anything cause your a nice guy and you did so much for the communiy and they rather kiss your ass cause your one of the four farthers of this 3d 2a thing but i got to tell you the truth i love what you do and have done but your design are weird af bro lol i hope that make you a better designer my friend
@@booliganshootingsports i couldnt see it any other way lol but next time you get a lil constructive critisisum the person giving it to you may just want to be honest withyou and care not to bullshit you or kiss your ass thoes are the real one you need to keep around they will chanlage you and make you better and you can truly trust as for me well iam a dick lol thanks for your time brother
@@booliganshootingsports bless your patience and fortitude for putting up with people like millions here...like holy shit I wouldn't have even responded but you got a gift I bet is actually a huge burden lol. Anybody talking shit about your designs can't hack it, I think you've got the sweetest fucking aesthetic of any designer and I truly mean that. The hours and hours and hours you take designing just for a hobby are fucking awesome, and the fact that you share them with NO monetary gain except to continue the hobby is legitimately inspiring. Keep it up, man, there's always going to be mouth-breathing punctuation-less trolls with shitty opinions out thhere taking advantage of the anonymity of the internet, absolutely can't let them keep you down, fuck that noise.
And just like that JSD SUPPLY bought up all the parts kits and are charging 4x the price
Maybe not yet but give them a couple hours
KM Tactical has served me very well but I find it hilarious their "G26 upper parts kit" is $30 more than a 19 kit...😂
How can I get the files for this
where did you get STL?
Which one?
