December 1999 had an awful panic attack driving on a highway. I tried to work it out myself over the next few months (which was so stupid) and couldn't fix it so I stopped driving. 22+ years later still not driving and am thoroughly disappointed with myself. I do have someone who drives. I just do not like asking for favors and the loss of independence is just awful. Just popping in to share my story in case someone who is experiencing PAs while driving will see what essentially giving up is like. Please don't do what I did. Get whatever help you need and cherish your independence.
Shaan’s program has helped me immensely. I am driving again and yesterday, just drove a small distance on the highway, alone, to a hair appointment and back. (Was over a year since I got my hair cut due to these issues). I had resigned myself to a home life. I thought I was beyond help, I had tried everything. Now I’m getting my freedom back and I’m so proud of myself 😀
@@ImAshleeSas someone who loves driving and got very scared of it after an accident, please drive! i just drove for the first time in a bit (i had been getting rides to work) and remembered why i like it so much and fell in love with it again. its been almost a year since my accident, but i go through phases of being scared to drive after not driving in a while. i always find the best way to get past it is just to get behind the wheel and go!
