  • Billings, Montana is the largest city in the state and home to many fun attractions. I spent a few days exploring the city in early October 2022 and here were some of my favorite hikes, breweries, and parks.

    Some of the rifles used by the tribes at the Battle of the Little Big Horn can be viewed at Rock Island Arsenal, there was a fire that exposed spent shell casing at the battlefield, they were matched to weapons surrendered by tribes to the army years after the battle in 1876.

    Pompey’s is pronounced Pom-pees pillar. The video is fun!! That was really the weird thing I could not get over. It was named after Sacajaweas baby. It’s a walk for sure so take your good shoes. I loved the views you got on the rims. That was a great day! When you come back.. you gotta come back I would do some shots of the actual Zimmerman trail. That thing is something else!! Loved the video. Just the Pompey’s pillar thing. It’s about 30 minutes outside of Billings It’s east of Billing it’s it’s own city of about 180 people.

    Enjoyed the Tour of Billings! I'll have to check and see if we went through Billings on our Trip up to Glacier Natl. Park and the "Going to the Sun Road 🌞 - 5 Times " Our Beagle, Clementine, was with us and he helped keep the Bears away by barking at them. Actually, it was the Park Rangers that kept the Bears away from our camping area (LoL).

    I live in Billings. Another good thing you’d want to see is The Moss Mansion. It’s a house that was built back in the early 1900s for Preston Boyd Moss & his wife, Martha. Another park you’d want to see, is Swords Park. It’s an asphalted park where you can go biking &, if you like watching airplanes, you can do that as well. When you’re in the swords park, you can look down into the Valley seeing the downtown area of Billings. It was about 80 million years ago, you would’ve been under water, down there in the valley.
    Another good park to see is: RiverFront Park. It’s another park that you can see the Yellowstone river.

    Question, Alice? I took my family thru this area quite a bit ago and it was very interesting. Have you considered a trip to the SW deserts and to possibly sample the Sonoran toad venom or 5-Meo-DMT? Different states are considering the legalization of psychedelics for therapeutic benefits etc. Would be interested in your impressions.

    • @AliceFordAdventures
      @AliceFordAdventures  Год назад +3

      I used to live in Arizona, its where I went to college. I think people stealing and killing these endangered frogs is abhorrent and the people doing it should be fined or imprisoned. I am not interested in potentially killing myself to trip on toad venom especially when it comes from an endangered species. I know some people that have done DMT and the results are often not good. I am not in a place in my life where I feel the need to search for some meaning of life as I am perfectly happy with where I am, and who I am. Although I am aware that mushrooms and other psychedelics like Ayahuasca are a beneficial treatment for some people struggling with addiction or depression its is not for me.

    • @ericlee5508
      @ericlee5508 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@AliceFordAdventures Your response here is 100% spot on regarding the recklessness of killing an endangered species just to get an unpredictable high. Thank you for not considering highlighting something so irresponsible.
