Sleep Matters: Sleeping less to beat insomnia

  • Almost everyone has experienced insomnia at some point. But what do you do if you are unable to fall asleep, and stay asleep for a significant amount of time, for days on end or even weeks? Doctors say being unable to sleep properly more than three times a week, over a period of three months, could be a sign of chronic insomnia, a condition altogether different from the typical sleepless night. And one solution might actually be to sleep less. Dr Margaret Blattner from the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center explains how we can re-learn how to get better sleep.

    Most people in Singapore live in hdb with our family members. We don't have extra bedroom for us to spend time in and solely use bed for sleeping

    One important action that people can take to reduce or overcome insomnia is to stop exposing oneself to the blue light in electronic devices before bedtime.

    Lipton Tea, Banana or Potato can create sleep I think a level of waking up that's a nice sleep.

      That's because you fail to visualize the crooks in them and the strategy they have been planning day and night on how to betray local citizens for their own benefits.
