There is no one, in my opinion that does such a thorough job & has such a calm & wonderful energy when it comes to kundalini. When I first started exploring this practice I tried a few other RUclips instructors & while they were a great intro to this practice-root lock was not explained the way Yogigems explains it nor was the explanation for why we do each exercise. I love this about her content. No disrespect to other instructors on RUclips however, because each teacher has their style & there’s something for everyone & I did learn from them what I needed to at that time but for me this content & instructor are the ultimate 💜

Almost every day with you my dear teacher! This was very delightful practice for the end of this day. I started my astrology class today. And I finished listening to Yogi Nanda autobiography. I am so inspired! I am positive I practiced this yoga before coming into this life. Once upon a time I was an elephant caretaker. I loved my elephant. The elephant had a baby, and one day that baby was attacked by tiger. We thought fearlessly to save it... but the baby died.... and I was devastated, I cried so much. Suddenly, I felt a knock on my shoulder. Mama elephant telepathically told me that it was okey that baby had to die... and I thought if she is okey why do I feel so bad??? I accepted that death was part of life...I felt at peace... this was my dream after I bought my first elephant figurine ... now they are quite easily appear to attract my attention and I have a collection of them :)

I have been following your practices for a while now, It happened a few times while following your videos that I would have a kind of blackout when the energy rise. Seeing a very intense light rising from the base of the spine into the head and then I am elsewhere for a short moment. The first time I came back when I fell down. Some time later it happened again, I had a bit more understanding of it, but could you enlighten me and explain to me what is happening? Sat nam, dear Geraud, thank you for describing your experiences - I can assure you that you are not alone, and I am sending a big hug to you. The energy is indeed rising and sometimes this can feel intense and we have an out-of-body experience. It is citta-bhāvanā - by no means the end of the journey but a step on the path. Perhaps it's helpful to think of it as a clearing as you cultivate your spiritual path through steady practice. Ensure that you keep your consumption clean (dietary and media - anything that you are consuming) and avoid stimulants. Make sure that you are safe during your practice. If you are prone to falling back, remain seated (avoid standing postures) and ensure the space around you is clear. I sense that you are not worried about these experiences, only intrigued by them. Try not to become attached to them - they are steps on the path, not the goal. Continue with your practice, continue observing and remaining present and interested in what is happening in your consciousness. I hope that helps, dear Geraud. Everyone experiences these practices differently, dear Kristen, depending on how the kriya is working with our physical & subtle bodies in that moment. Energetic shifts in the sacral chakra may increase libido, depending on the healing and realignment taking place. Observe, be present with it, allow it and enjoy it! I hope that helps. Ease off breath of fire and inversions in the first few days, and you might want to go a little slower and gentler. See how your body feels - always listen to your body's wisdom. I hope that helps. Sweet Yogigems, can you answer a question for me? Why is this kriya only to be done in the evening? I tried to look it up online, and I did find several other sources saying to do it specifically in the evening, but no explanation as to why. I can see how it's beneficial to do it before bed, but is there a reason you should NOT do it during the day? Thanks for any light you can shed on the subject! ❤️

I find the bedtime kriyas much more 'spacey', less grounding, so the effects are more conducive to sleep, rather than energetically facing the day with focus and clarity. See how you feel after this practice - even with that little energising/balancing pranayam in the middle, it's an 'out there' kriya, and you have a whole night's sleep to integrate it. That's my take on it, anyway, and I hope it helps. Lots of love to you ♥️

What I'm hearing is that it's not necessarily BAD to do it at other times, but it works best at night. Hi Yogigems! Loved this set after being out in the Beautiful sunlight earlier today. I noticed my mood was better today out in the sunshine than when it was gloomy days before.
I was wondering are there any sets you have that help with rebalancing when you are not able to be out in the sunshine? Many Canadians would love to know because our weather changes so drastically from fall onwards into winter and really affects people's moods.

It happened a few times while following your videos that I would have a kind of blackout when the energy rise. Seeing a very intense light rising from the base of the spine into the head and then I am elsewhere for a short moment.
The first time I came back when I fell down. Some time later it happened again, I had a bit more understanding of it, but could you enlighten me and explain to me what is happening? If it happened to others too, if I can dive deeper into it and through what practice.

Sat nam, dear Geraud, thank you for describing your experiences - I can assure you that you are not alone, and I am sending a big hug to you. The energy is indeed rising and sometimes this can feel intense and we have an out-of-body experience. It is citta-bhāvanā - by no means the end of the journey but a step on the path. Perhaps it's helpful to think of it as a clearing as you cultivate your spiritual path through steady practice. Ensure that you keep your consumption clean (dietary and media - anything that you are consuming) and avoid stimulants. Make sure that you are safe during your practice. If you are prone to falling back, remain seated (avoid standing postures) and ensure the space around you is clear. I sense that you are not worried about these experiences, only intrigued by them. Try not to become attached to them - they are steps on the path, not the goal. Continue with your practice, continue observing and remaining present and interested in what is happening in your consciousness. I hope that helps, dear Geraud. Is it normal to shake so much with root lock? I love to squeeze literally as tight as I can & hold my breath but is there such a think as too tight as long as I’m not struggling?

Everyone experiences these practices differently, dear Kristen, depending on how the kriya is working with our physical & subtle bodies in that moment. Energetic shifts in the sacral chakra may increase libido, depending on the healing and realignment taking place. Observe, be present with it, allow it and enjoy it! I hope that helps. Ease off breath of fire and inversions in the first few days, and you might want to go a little slower and gentler. See how your body feels - always listen to your body's wisdom. I hope that helps. Sweet Yogigems, can you answer a question for me? Why is this kriya only to be done in the evening? I tried to look it up online, and I did find several other sources saying to do it specifically in the evening, but no explanation as to why. I can see how it's beneficial to do it before bed, but is there a reason you should NOT do it during the day? Thanks for any light you can shed on the subject! ❤️

I find the bedtime kriyas much more 'spacey', less grounding, so the effects are more conducive to sleep, rather than energetically facing the day with focus and clarity. See how you feel after this practice - even with that little energising/balancing pranayam in the middle, it's an 'out there' kriya, and you have a whole night's sleep to integrate it. That's my take on it, anyway, and I hope it helps. Lots of love to you ♥️

What I'm hearing is that it's not necessarily BAD to do it at other times, but it works best at night. Which makes sense - it is so very emotionally soothing and you may not want to get in that pre-sleep state during the day! Thank you - You're my favorite yoga teacher! ❤️
