Yeah. The problem is you can do this for nearly every single thing that comes out ever. Paintball Ruined My Life that’s true however with the CS1 there were problems that needed to be fixed such as how long it was, the bending problems, and the improved gamma core for the CS2. This gun looks great. Was really considering a CS2 but idk, might save some coin and get this instead. I bet it shoots nearly as good for a fraction of the cost.
Can we get a video of your personal opinion on the rank of today's market of paintball guns?✌️ I think I want a CS2 but I also like the new luxe marker and kinda curious about the m3...but not super intrigued
Not quite. The CS2 has an operating pressure of 105 psi and the 170r has an operating pressure of 135 psi. The significantly larger volume of the firing chamber on the CS2 enables the operating pressure to be lower. The OLED, ASA, solenoid (slightly different), grips and ergonomics are different as well. and personally, I think the CS2 is more aesthetically pleasing (not that the 170r looks bad) but thats just my opinion. I feel like it has a more high-end look and feel to it.
@@alexprocel91 I agree, the CS2 is clearly marketed to look and feel like a high end while the 170r is intended for the mid-range market. I get the differences between the two, how the CS2 enables a much more "premium" feeling marker, I was simply just remarking on how the 170r appears at first glance. Appreciate the thoughtful feedback though.
Planet Eclipse deciding to get rid of the ATT is most brilliant thing they could've done, honestly don't know how or why a company like Planet Eclipse even went that route with how the air runs through the grip to the regulator.
Since I first seen this marker I just felt like it wasn't bringing enough "newness" to the table. The Etha 2 came out in Feb 2017 at $400. Now the 170r is here, and it's a metal Etha 2 + OLED for $800. In most industries this would be financial suicide, but we all know PE is going to sell plenty of these.
160r is currently my main... waiting on a luxe X to arrive. But my largest gripe about it is the AT pipe really... it’s annoying. Also there’s no mechanical option, but whatever I’ll build a cocker
Hey Brad tell us what you think about that fore grip.... LOL As always thanks again for a great informative video.... Thinking of getting one to upgrade from my Etha2.
I've shot the Emek 100 it's really crisp. My buddy has a DeadlyWind Hair 45 Trigger Valve, Murder Machine Trigger, and after market barrel. Making it pretty nice but at that point it's probably around $500 in total, mods included. Where as the 170r is $350 more with added features plus you could convert that to a Mech. All in all, if you're looking for a budget market and fine with mechanical, the Emek is definitely worth it with aftermarket mods. If you're wanting to spend a few more hundred the 170r from what I heard, is a beast and huge upgrade
I don’t know why your battery is tight enough that you would need an allen wrench to push it out. But I have to put a piece or cardboard on mine because it’s loose enough to slightly feel it shake inside.
They should’ve made the Etek 160r/170r without an AT Pipe. I literally hated the AT Pipe and thought it was foolish of PE to ever create it and say that they would keep it instead of goin full macro-less. They also said that there wouldn’t be an all metal version of the Gtek, then the 160r came out. Whatever all companies lie and PE isn’t exempt from that.
What do you think is the best after market trigger for the 170r? Not feeling the stock trigger, is the hyper core a good one or should I spend a little bit more ang get the stanchy? Infamous don’t make them anymore, thank you!
I’m getting back into paintball after about 8 years, I used to have an Etek Ego when they were released for the last setup I had before I stopped playing so I’m out of the loop for today’s standards. What’s the best marker I can get today around the $900 mark? (Or less)
