- This is the movie i have been working on for 3 months. 15 hours of footage, 300GB of data and a lot of good times in Joburg. thanks to all my friends and fam back home, this one is for you. Enjoy. I hope this will make you appreciate our city. We live in a beautiful place. This is Johannesburg my City. Filmed with the Lumix GH1 by Martin Mostert and Edited by Martin Mostert.

Nice, my mom had a friend who was living in South Africa. She was thinking about moving there temporarily, so we could have experience of what life is like in South Africa compare to The States.

Thank you sooo much for this fabulous movie! I came here 2 yearss ago for business and I have fallen in love with the city. I requested my company to relocate for a short time. Despite some people that are still racist, the majority are very open nice and friendly. The city has the best vibe, great places to chill and many cultural offers. Also the best weather, good infraestructure and atonishing views. Thank you Martin for capturing this in your film. It's a pitty that some people here don't really appreciate this wonderful city and focus on bad things, instead of taking as a opportunity for change.
I grew up there and you just need to know the places not to go too.. awareness is key

Great video captures Joburg really well I think you will go far with your talent! To all the comments about all south africans being racist... unfortunately it does exist to some degree but there are many people who aren't focus on them more and fade out the racists. I challenge racists, elitists, homophobes and other forms of bigotry I'm not afraid. I'm a white born south african and I'm not bigot!

Great weather , lots of natural resources, good infrastructure. And the local whites just gave it all away to black without putting up a fight...

Great video ,but... correct me if I'm wrong - from my point of view looking into South Africa it looks like it's the richest country in africa because it was dominated by white people. No other country on the continent achieved such level of development. Blacks complain about Whites but it's obvious that alone they would never achieve that, even tough what is a native population there (the zulu?) were the only blacks capable of forming a state that could at least try to challenge the collonists.
