I've come to dread the sudden "Oh, oh no..." in voice that inevitably comes when one of them has wandered off and manages to get into a Situation. DbD is always a tough, contextual one. If no one's doing repairs, you're losing and in order to rescue a survivor, another survivor needs to not repair. And when you rescue someone from the hook, they're actually closer to death, which is distastrous if the killer is nearby and you can't properly defend the rescuee.
Then again, it's *usually* because the other survivors couldn't be bothered with you in the first place. Solo queue life...

I had a few friends come over back in the day to play Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles when it originally came out. I was usually stuck with the stupid chalice as we walked through the stage and one of my friends was notorious for chasing monsters. So he would run out of the safe circle to kill the enemy all alone then run back yelling "heal me, heal me" because the miasma almost killed him. I was the magic caster so I always had the heals. I quit chasing him after awhile and would let him run to his death. Eventually he got out of the habit.

One of the more aggravating co-op behaviors I've encountered is when someone just doesn't take time to understand how to get something out a side mission or quest.
In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for example, you can get certain things if you go about a parallel quest in a certain way. Instead, many online players will just bum rush the target without understanding the procedure. It's super unhelpful when you're to get the drop and don't have someone to regularly work with.

"There are just some people who manage to appear unbelievably suspicious despite not actually being in the wrong whatsoever" - like everybody's favorite Gary Brannan, Gary Brannan in several _Two of these People are Lying_ episodes.
Oh gods, the people running ahead problem. It can't get people _killed_ in Gauntlet games (unless there's an enemy in just the perfect spot) because the camera refuses to let anyone go off-screen, but it _can_ get players stuck in a way that requires fiddly maneuvering to get them UN-stuck.

The one that springs to mind is when you’re playing operation with another person and that other person is really incompetent or won’t listen to your advice but keeps doing whatever he wants and insisting he is right and we are playing operation on a real patient and now the patient is either gonna wake up worse off than when they went under the knife or is gonna die. That’s the worst co-op. Sometimes it’s not even just friction between different surgeons as their egos inevitably get the better of them. Sometimes the anaesthetist is the ahole and probably gonna kill someone just to prove a point. This is fine :)

    two things happen with those:

    or
when you and your friend(s) agree to share resources and even have a communal storage area yet one person hoards ALL the supplies and lies about it only revealing just the shear amount they were hoarding from everybody when they get killed and all their stuff drops

Games with same-screen co-op are usually easier on the vision that split-screen, but do usually have that flaw of one player being able to eff the other one up (or both of them at once!) by insistently going the wrong way. I have to say, I was that person running too far ahead when my dad and I played through Diablo 3 and he kept getting teleported back to me, but it was also a convenient feature at times; when one of us would doze off on our game nights, the other player could effortlessly drag their character around and keep getting them XP until they woke back up. Good times.

I know in the video you talked about people running ahead and getting their teammates killed, but the thing that I see more often, especially as someone who tends to main support classes/builds in co-op games, is people running ahead of the team, and more importantly out of the healer's range, and getting themselves killed. I have one friend, whom I love very dearly, but they do this all the time. That leads into a second one actually, overconfidence. In regards to that same friend, whom I repeat, I love dearly, we have a bit of a joke in our friend group that the moment they say something along the lines of "Don't worry about it" or "I got this" the it is is most definitely time to worry about it. I know I already gave two things, so I might as well go for a full trio, right? My other main co-op pet peeve are the people who tell you to play a game that they play because they want to play it with you. So you get the game, boot it up, connect with them and start playing, and since you've just started playing this game it's only natural that you might ask, "Hey, how do I do this thing?" and they proceed to repeatedly refuse to help you learn how to play the game in any way. Like, come on, you were so gung ho about getting me to play this game and you're not even gonna help me play it? At least send me a youtube tutorial link or something.

Ellen has summoned a level of frustration here that's usually only reached by girls who have older brothers who won't let them play with them and when they do they ignore them.

Something tells me that a healer in Final Fantasy XIV casting Rescue to pull the main tank into a hole or a DPS into an AoE is not on this list.

I'm one of those people who takes literally everything that isn't nailed down and it pisses off everybody I play with.
"Why are you taking that? It's junk, leave it."
"This junk is worth $3. It's not worth much on it's own but it all adds up."
"We'll find something better later and your inventory is full."
"Then I'll drop the cheap stuff."
"THEN WHY WASTE TIME PICKING IT UP?!"
Naturally, I refuse to play most games in co-op so I can feed my digital kleptomania in peace.

Variation - The people who know the level like the back of their hand and rush straight to all the objectives, even past the enemies you should be teaming up to kill. They'll either leave you there fighting all the mobs they aggroed, or fulfill the objectives before anyone else can get near them, leaving nothing for you to do,

I remember playing little big planet 1 main missions and me and my cousin were playing. He kept slapping my character, and then finally after awhile he stopped. Then, after hours of playing, we were on an elevator, and he unleaded a devastating friendship ending slap off of an elevator.

Something for a commenter edition: Taking resources you don't need when your coop partner needs them. For example, health packs when you're almost full and they're nearly dead, ammo when you have plenty and they're down to just a melee weapon, etc.

The Mario Party one reminded me of when my family did a game where the goal for one team member was to sabotage the team and the other was to win, both teams had this. Unfortunately for me, my Mom didn't quite understand the idea, either that or I should never have agreed to let our Mom be on the same team as the Youngest, meanwhile my sister was a master of sabotaging me. Honestly I'm surprised the gap was only 2 stars... and that I got any stars at all for that matter since the game seemed to want me to lose too 😂

One that I've seen people stop playing the game because of is when a more experienced or high level player shows up in a new player's game and just... completes the level for them. The new player isn't just getting carried and learning nothing about getting better at the game, but they're not having fun, either. Happens all the time in games like Warframe or PAYDAY 2.

I remember someone claiming that Rescue Rangers (NES) is impossible to complete 2-player 'because it's so much more fun to throw each other off cliffs!'. Any game with friendly fire qualifies.
Also, 'standing in the fire', though that might qualify under #3, and Leroy Jenkins under #7.

In Mercenaries 2 playground of destruction, you could join someone's game and if they were near the main base area, you could destroy all their oil silos that they had. And even if they bought more, the destroyed ones couldn't be replaced, ever. Lowering the max they could have.
