I said it at the beginning of the year, and I'll say it again: the return to the studio has really seen an abstraction of the formerly rigid list-video form by the OX crew. Larger, overarching gags; increased breaking (or ignoring) of the fourth wall; a general lowering of the pretense that any institution is as put together as it tries to seem, but without losing the professionalism or quality of the product that institution creates. It's really lovely to behold.

I'm with Ellen when it comes to puns. Yes, they can be awful and I'll shake my head at them, but I also can't help laughing at them, and also just making a bunch of stupid puns. I now feel the urge to go play Portal 2. I love GLaDOS's lines so much. One of my favorite bits of that room is also GLaDOS calling Chell garbage 3 times. First being pretty subtle, then about taking out the trash, and then a third time with her just saying she called you garbage a second time because you didn't react to the first one; thereby technically calling you garbage 3 times.
I absolutely love puns, maybe partly bc I'm not an english native speaker. But since I learned about puns I just adore hearing and making them, it's so much fun!!

I was actually really happy to team up with her against Wheatley. My first run was fully blind so I didn't expect it when I really should have. As for Wheatley, I love his line at the end about needing to figure out what's starting all the fires.
I can’t speak for the entire oxboxtra audience (but im gonna), an Ellen pun-o-orama video is one of the best formats on this platform. The pun-ishing psychic damage caused to the rest of the team and implication that Mike is being held hostage to create this masterpiece makes for an... arresting proposition. Ok i’ll stop now lol

I'm still waiting to see my favorite one on one of these lists from Legendary (2008). "DouBull TroBull" for defeating 2 minotaurs at once. Not only is this a bad pun, but it's made better by the fact you immediately got a 2nd achievement called "I owe you an apology" where the lead designer apologizes for the bad pun and gives you free points.
Love the Lego games, in general. They're great for me to play with my kids early on, but they're also fun for relaxing and exploring on my own, too. The achievements add a bit more fun to them. My personal favorite is "Do I know you?" if you pair up Captain America and the Human Torch on the first Lego Marvel Super Heroes game (think of the movies if you don't get it). Also, my son loved getting crowds dancing with Starlord so much that he'd bring the game near-crashing with the massive crowds he'd collect.

The "Over the Brink" achievement in Torchlight 2 is one I can't forget. You get it after defeating Brink, an NPC who's been helping you but turns monstrous.
i absolutely LOVE it when they fail to stick to the script without breaking. "clickbait and switch" genuinely had both of them reacting in their respective ways and it was DELIGHTFUL.
I love some of the jokes in the Uncharted series. Like in #3 when they're in the town under siege, they've climbed to the roof with a pool. If you mess around there long enough there's a little Easter Egg dialogue where he goads her into playing Marco Polo while he's in the water & she's out, then calls her out for it.
My favourite punny achievement is also from Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4. There's an achievement if you use Polyjuice Potion to turn into Severus Snape and then hide inside a barrel: Solid Snape.
To this day, one of the only things I remember the game NeverDead for is a brilliant bit of achievement wordplay. At one point you need to rescue some people by getting them to a helicopter. You do so, get an achievement called "Evacuation Plan", then seconds later the helicopter is destroyed and the achievement "Premature Evacuation" pops. I also remember it for Dave Mustaine's completely dull original music.
Halo Master Chief collection has a slew of pun achievements. For example beat Halo CE's the maw with par score and you get the All you can eat achievement.

But I went through the list on Steam, and I reckon that at least 35 (so over 10%) are puns, the worst of which is probably "Spaghetti Western", for starting as Bologna and forming Texas (or Mexico).

I remember in the game Legendary for Xbox 360 there was an achievement for defeating two Minotaurs that attack you, and you get an achievement called DouBull TrouBull, then another achievement immediately afterwards apologizing for the pun. That pun has stuck with me for over a decade

There are several hostile animals in the jungle, and if you kill a lion, a tiger, and a bear, you receive the "Oh, my!" achievement. Another can be found if you complete the Lair of the Mad Mage dungeon. Upon doing so, you are awarded the "Player of the Mad Mage" achievement.

Literally everything in Final Fantasy XIV. The localisation team had a LOT of fun. The first one that comes to mind is the FATE "It's Not Lupus", where you fight a giant crab named Cancer, and the achievement you get for beating it is called "Full Remission".
I'm honestly surprised the achievement doubull troubull from "Legendary " wasn't on this, it was literally so bad they gave you a bonus achievement called I Owe You an Appology.
I don't know (or remember at least) how you get ideas for lists, but an idea I had was "achievements/trophies that react to you using swear words". A Hat in Time has one during the Murder on the Owl Express mission where if you answer any of the owls questions with a swear word, you get an achievement/trophy called "Why?" Unfortunately, it's a PC exclusive one. Less unfortunately, entering Peck, Peckneck or Timmy will also trigger it.
Age of Empires II Definitive Edition is packed with painful pun achievements. The one that takes the cake however is "Vladislav, baby don't hurt me" for completing the Vlad the Impaler campaign

Just yesterday, I got an achievement in Jedi: Fallen Order for exploring the crashed ship on Zeffo. It was titled "Alderaan Places."
I have a pair of Valentines theme Star Wars lounge pants that says “looking for love in Alderaan places” good to see that pun is alive and well

Literally everything in Final Fantasy XIV. The localisation team had a LOT of fun.
The first one that comes to mind is the FATE "It's Not Lupus", where you fight a giant crab named Cancer, and the achievement you get for beating it is called "Full Remission".
I love that Mike hates the puns and all these achievements, while Ellen explains why each pun is amazing and so funny. perfect balance

I don't know (or remember at least) how you get ideas for lists, but an idea I had was "achievements/trophies that react to you using swear words". A Hat in Time has one during the Murder on the Owl Express mission where if you answer any of the owls questions with a swear word, you get an achievement/trophy called "Why?"
Unfortunately, it's a PC exclusive one. Less unfortunately, entering Peck, Peckneck or Timmy will also trigger it.
Age of Empires II Definitive Edition is packed with painful pun achievements. The one that takes the cake however is "Vladislav, baby don't hurt me" for completing the Vlad the Impaler campaign
