Really well done. I love it, that you aren't wasting 10 minutes in the beginning of the video by talking about something useless. You start right into the theme and that is fantastic!
I watched this video long time ago. That time I couldn't follow you or understand many parts. Then after an year I tried but failed again. I kept trying after months and months hoping that now i will understand Edit: After another one year of posting this, I could follow 3 of the 9 methods here.
This is a free educational video for people who know basics of blender and just illustrates the different ways to arcieve some interesting effects. You're quite rude to him...
Not sure if I got you right: You are asking about an input what kind of tutorial you could do next? If so I'd have a challenge I believe. I allways asked but never found somthing about making a realistic sun with eruptions, non homegenous masses on the surface and stuff. Could be interesting though with the volume scatter and particles. If you haven't asked about input I'm sorry to blabber about that stuff :P
Man, I gotta tell you. People really like Blender Guru - but I think your tutorials are the best. You present really professional techniques - but also - you get straight to the point. Excellent stuff man!
I remember watching this six years ago having no idea what hes talking about. Now I could do all these with my eyes closed. Thanks Gleb for great tutorials!
Gleb I love your content and your creations! Could we possibly see an update on this for 2.8+ versions? Or if you got a video on it already, I can't find it.
thank you! i'd love to update it at some point, because clearly the interest for blowing it all to pieces is high. not sure when, though. working on the new modeling troubleshooting course at the moment :)
Could you show us your basic set up of lighting and shaders and such? Meaning, I would really love to know how you set up these tests when it comes to the object settings and lighting. I want my stuff to look as good as yours. You get me?
Wow Thanks man! Its nice that you comment back when you can. seriously like its awesome! I'll check it out as soon as I can. :) Great channel keep up the good work.
Moby Motion If someone could help me with the bisect/boolean destruction it's killing me im trying to figure out why it's not working for me. You say it's too easy in your tutorial please make me a step by step guide
Leo Laurentz If someone could help me with the bisect/boolean destruction it's killing me im trying to figure out why it's not working for me. You say it's too easy in your tutorial please make me a step by step guide
I see that this is all animation. Is it possible to catch a moment in time of destruction and save that broken cube at that very moment and export as an OBJ for usage in Daz Studio?
Do you have to download software to use in Blender for your tutorial? Are going to do an updated version that explains step by step what you are doing?
I have tried the cloth deform with the same setting and I cannot make it work. My moving blocks do not deform the cube. What settings did you use for the moving blocks?
Hi, do you have any video teaching to do a similar scenario to the video? I am currently studying rendering and have interest in learning more bout as you did, found it very clean and beautiful. Thanks!
im trying to drop text in water and make a splash with the new flip phys. but not have the words bounce around like crazy. can you tell me the best way to do this (and i want 3 words total and really high water hd effect ty
Hi! Nice tutorial GA! i m interssing particulary to molecular simlation so i try to reproduce the 9th way but neither! Please can you share how you get this material. It seems like cotton! It Liked it so much.
Hi Gleb, I've got a problem with the Boolean destruction: Whatever i select between intersect, union and difference one piece of the cube always disappear. I'm using Blender 2.74.
Nice tutorial! Do you know weather there is a modifier to add some damages to an object? I modeled an old stone stair and want to add some detailes like cracks and so on.
Love your contributions to the Blender community Gleb. I am trying to get a wall to crumble from the top down to apply to a projection map but can't figure it out. Trying with Dennis' awesome Fracture Modifier and the trigger settings but it is not degrading from the top down. Any suggestions?
I basically know everytNice tutorialng there is to know about soft soft but I still watched tNice tutorials through just because of how good you explained

It's a lot of fun breaking virtual things in Blender. Thanks for the tutorial Gleb! :)

Hritik Vaishnav - All fairly basic stuff and I moved to Blender a month ago.
Yes i tried the molecular one but i couldn't find some of the things because it didn't show it
U had us in the fst half not gonna lie
Hahaha same happened with me ... I watched this video in 2016
This is a free educational video for people who know basics of blender and just illustrates the different ways to arcieve some interesting effects. You're quite rude to him...
Have to say once again: Best channel for fast advanced learning on blender! Good job!
Andreas, by the way just have spotted that this video got more than a thousand likes. It seems we're not alone in our desire to destroy everything.
Haha, yeah, well - that's irony: we are building the simulation about destroying things.
And about the 1000 likes - earned, I'd say ;)
I think we need to celebrate it with the poster or something else. Ideas?
Not sure if I got you right: You are asking about an input what kind of tutorial you could do next? If so I'd have a challenge I believe. Andreas Kurz Great idea! That would be epic, I'll research it.

Both you, and your videos are awesome! Subbed!
I remember watching this six years ago having no idea what hes talking about. Now I could do all these with my eyes closed. Thanks Gleb for great tutorials!
If you can make a tutorial making these animations with the latest updates I would watch it
Hi Greb!! Have you a tutorial about how you create the surface of the floor for this cube?

There's a wonderfull function on youtube called

>x0.75
i think you mean
>speed
>x1.5
OP Airsoft Craziness.
I like the fact that your channel is at the advanced level, hard to find that with Blender. 😄
Greb. This is great, most importantly your presentation standard is high. The rendering, lighting and animation are top quality. Keep it up.
This is sooooo cathartic. I've been coming back to this video since it was first released in July 2014. xD
I love the way you talk, it's so enthusiastic and motivating XD
This is a great quick-reference tutorial, but can you make a more detailed tutorial on the Molecular add-on?
i’m honestly most impressed with that beautiful lighting in the renders haha.
How did you build that render-scene? It looks really amazing with the light and so on!
Would really welcome a tutorial for it =)
still one of your bests videos
Hei Gleb! about the cloth version, how would you do it with actual blender versions? cloth settings are totally changed from this video till today
Dude these tutorials are killer.
Your tutorials are gold nuggets!
How the heck do his cubes and spheres always look so dang good?
I would be eternally grateful if you updated this tutorial
Thanks Gleb for all those tips !!
How did I get here, I don't even use blender, but this was so satisfying and interesting to watch.
Anyone else reminded of that physicist from the newer starcraft movies. You have the voice man, cool video as well
Can you do an Updated version of this?
This tutorial is quite useful for me, and your voice is absolutely awesome. Thanks for this! :D
I love the simple ways of doing complex things. Subscribed!
Very nice work, I particularly like the molecular destruction effect.
Gleb I love your content and your creations! Could we possibly see an update on this for 2.8+ versions? Or if you got a video on it already, I can't find it.
thank you! i'd love to update it at some point, because clearly the interest for blowing it all to pieces is high. not sure when, though. working on the new modeling troubleshooting course at the moment :)
does anybody know how he gets not just the animations but the light reflecting off the table so realistic?
I'd like to get the world settings too. It just looks amazing!
Use a glossy shader
Can you re upload this video but to the recent update of blender?
What a great tutorial. He shows many great techniques, and you don't have to watch 1h :)

I just want to take this time to say that his english is better than most people who comment on videos
Can you take it a bit slower, cant keep up
Hi. Is it possible to make separate video on each method? Please
is there a way I can destroy a building in way I can only use render blender in blender 2.79?
it looked awesome and I was hoping you could explain to me the details. Because I just didn't understand how to get the particle system to work.
This was pretty eye opening. I especially liked the cloth simulation technique. Thanks!
Yeah, cloth sim for destruction was a surprise for me too.
Great tutorial. I love your concise style of teaching
Moby Motion If someone could help me with the bisect/boolean destruction it's
killing me im trying to figure out why it's not working for me. You say
it's too easy in your tutorial please make me a step by step guide
Baptiste Knacky Do you mean in Gleb's tutorial? I'm sure you can find a tutorial on boolean modifiers that is easy to follow
For those of us finding this 6 years later, does the demolition branch have a new link? Having a hard time tracking it down.
Instead of keyframing the active check box I find it a lot easier to just change the start frame of the rigid body cache
Thanks for making this tutorial! it's so quick and understandable.

Nice work here. Good collection of techniques.
Do you have to download software to use in Blender for your tutorial? Are going to do an updated version that explains step by step what you are doing?
Keep calm don't rush ^^ We don't need to know how fast you can create these effects, but how can WE create these effects ahah. But very cool video !
This is very very cool!
Thank you Gleb!
how do you set up that material to sphere and cube and such a soothing background
Your presentation imo is incredible.
thanks for sharing efforts.
I started watching this tutorial while cooking. I burnt my food. Talk about destroying things ...
hey gleb! nice video but i got a question here, actually can you do the same things in 3ds max??
Your accent and tonality are amazing xD oh and i guess your sim skills are okay too ;D
I have tried the cloth deform with the same setting and I cannot make it work. My moving blocks do not deform the cube. What settings did you use for the moving blocks?
I've seen that has actually explained it to in a concise way!
How did you get the effects chain on the left side of the setuper?
@Glebalexandrov Can you make a tutorial when a body gets dissembled that is, the parts get seperated. should I make the parts separately?
where is structural stiffness in blender 2.8x versions ?!?

how is the lightning good and 3d for you?
Guys can somebody tell me where he did add self collision? Please? :C in my blender interface I can't find it... :(
Can you use these for game asset development? Like in Unity?
are these 3rd party libraries ? Can we do them natively without any add-ons ?
Great Tutorial!! Like always!!
Really enjoying the tutorial so far. At 1:39 physics is normally spelt with a y it's a weird word.
Thanks, mate :)
No problem. Is English a second language for you? :)
Starwarsfan161 Yes, it is.
It's my first language and still don't really understand some of its rules :)
Starwarsfan161 neighbor after whey, except seas and oceans. (maybe I forgot the specifics.)
Hello, I am a little bit confused. Why my cube is disappearing on 2nd frame?
I do not own blender and did not hain anything from this video but it was quite fascinating!

Completely off topic, but can someone tell me what the name of the music that starts at 0:22? It sounds really pleasant. Great vid btw.
Gleb Alexandrov how did you get that big floor at 2:15
Is there any plug-in that allows model deformation? I'm trying to animate a machine grinding a flute shape into a drill blank.
This is satisfying to watch

Hi Gleb, I've got a problem with the Boolean destruction: Whatever i select between intersect, union and difference one piece of the cube always disappear. I'm using Blender 2.74.
I have same problem. But I think it's cause I used planes. Will test tomorrow with long thin cubes.

Awesome tutorial.
What screen recorder do you use?
So I thought physics was in root blender now, like from Buildbot. Are you saying you still have to get from Graphicall?
with the cloth the cloth is clipping into the cube and then being dragged and creating massive spikes that follow the cube
What computer should i use?
