- On the same night, Speaker Johnson failed to pass an Israel only aid bill in the house. Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) joins Andrea Mitchell to weigh in on the state of Capitol Hill, as two wars rage abroad, and the U.S. is gearing towards a likely Presidential election rematch. “I always say to my colleagues, now the Republicans in the leadership. Don't bring a bill to the floor unless you know you have the votes. And in order to know you have the vote you have to have some of your pocket,” Pelosi said. “Everything they do is about Donald Trump. He's the puppeteer, sadly, as I've always said, he’s shining the light on the strings, that looks terrible.”

The problem with the campaign is that trump has 24/7 news coverage on all networks, including MSNBC. President Biden is hardly mentioned. Also, 90% of announcers refer to trump respectfully as either "The President" or "President Trump" (this includes MSNBC too). President Biden is referred to as simply, "Joe Biden" like you'd call any old schmo. This gives undeserved respect to 45 and denagrates President Biden.

Johnson thinks he should bring loser bills to the floor so Republicans can say, "We showed you we are willing to hold votes to get what you want," to their base knowing the bills would lose. I read an article saying Johnson had a Rep from Utah from "yes" to "no" specifically so it would lose, to prompt a vote next week. I called my SD Rep Dusty Johnson and told him to vote "no" as I did before this impeachment vote.
