Speaker Nancy Pelosi is 83 and President Joe Biden is 80. I'm 70 and hope I have the physical and mental vitality they have when I hit my 80's. My Grandmother was 96, my Mom's sister was 94 and both were mentally active. We as a Nation must show greater respect for the wisdom and life experiences that comes with age.

Biden’s speeches have been brilliant. The only thing I can say when someone says he’s too old or “ sleepy” is that they haven’t listened to him. He is sharp!
@@joannemoser3443His "gaffes" and stumbles only make him human. We have all occasionally fell down on stairs or from a bike. I was Amazon by how quickly he recovered, showing how physically fit he is. Technically he is not a great speaker, at least partly due to his history of stuttering. Content wise there are no problems. Him thinking on his feet and basically cornering the republicans was epic. I love his sense of humor and the willingness to laugh about himself.

In the history of the USA, only 5 times has the electoral college ever over ruled the popular vote.
3 times in the 1800s - and now 2 times in the last 20 years.
1 time for George Bush, when he lost the popular vote to Al Gore, but the electoral college went against the popular vote and 1 time in 2016 when Hillary overwhelmingly won the popular vote, but the electoral college went against the popular vote and Trump was put into power.
The electoral college decides the popular vote and it's ripe for abuse. Trump knows this and in 2020 he set up a fake electors scheme to try to not certify the election for Joe Biden. This is some of the course cases that Trump is going to be in right now in many different States. He needs to delay the court cases as long as possible, some how make it into the presidency and then pardon himself, so he cannot be prosecuted.
Even if he loses the election, as soon as the next Republican gains power, they are going to pardon him, so he isn't going to face justice. The most important thing is to make sure he doesn't gain power or another administration.

I love that comment and that was the immediate (sadly shocking) observation here, too. She strikes as someone eloquent, thoughtful, analytical, intellectual, calm, confident - a leader. Whether you like her policies or not. It's kind of rare today so it stands out. It really shouldn't -- these should be the baseline traits of (at least most) people in politics.
