Was that Keymo I saw there? I would like to get more suppressors down the line, but for now I have a .22 can that's direct thread and a Sandman from Dead Air. I like Keymo and it would be nice to have Aero as an option without necessarily having to invest in new muzzle devices.
It’s really difficult to find any basic information around suppressors. I just want to know if I don’t have a threaded barrel can I mount a suppressor on said barrel? - I have a old school 30/30 and they just came out with sub sonics for it.
I have the LAHAR-30L. I would like to reiterate the questions below. What Kind of Muzzle device / QD mounting system will the Lahar work with? And more importantly, Is Aero working on a QD mounting system? My current Muzzle Brake has a Suppressor Interface Thread of 24m x 1.5 Pitch. The Muzzle Brake itself is approx. 1.5" deep before the threads are reached. As it stands, I can only Direct Thread the LAHAR to my rifle (No Muzzle Brake).
I'm running SiCo ASR bravo QD/mount on both my Aero cans, Bravo = HUB, aka 1 3/8 x 24 threads on the muzzle end of the suppressor. I went ahead and got the ASR brakes to save myself any compatibility headaches with current brakes on my rifles, I am very pleased with the ASR Bravo/brake combo, highly recommend. Hope you got all sorted out, I was struggling with this same thing a few months back.
@jesusalberto4578 You sure can, you can run from 5.56 NATO up to .300 Win Mag. If you have a .300 BLK Out then your thread pattern is most likely 5/8x24, so you would need to buy their other 1/2x28 device so you can swap the internal pieces out. Buuuut Brownells sells a 1/2x28 adapter so you can fit a 5/8x24 can on it. It’s like $20. I just bought one so I can use my .30 cal can on my 7mm-08. Hopefully this is good enough info for you!
@@ZadyMongooselooking for advice. First time buying a suppressor. I bought a Gemtech tracker 7.9” suppressor and want to put it on my A2 or 16”. The mount type on the .30 caliber I bought is 5/8-24. So do I need the 1/2-28 adapter? This is for 5.56.
@ That barrel is most likely a 1/2x28 since it’s 5.56. I would look it up to be sure lol. But see if you can buy a direct thread adapter for that suppressor because some let you swap em out or buy that brownell adapter I mentioned. It’ll allow to fit a 5/8x24 on a 1/2x28 for like $20. I think it’s called M4 Muzzle thread adapter.
@@AeroPrecision Okay, if the entire point was to keep people from having to change muzzle devices in order to use your can then why wouldn't you have a mounting system that accepts some of the most expensive and nicest QD adaptors from Surefire? That's a big disappointment.
@@MrCooper89 there’s a company who does conversions for Surefire wardens or trainer suppressors and they cut them down to the standardized 1.375x24 But. Most people would agree the Surefire system is not the best out there. The fact that it’s well know. You have to shoot the can off because of carbon locking issues would indicate sub optimal. Anyway look up the Surefire mount adapters being made.
I wouldn't say Surefire is the best but it's definitely up there. Tons of suppressors carbon lock, and companies are developing QD attachments to try to prevent this, but carbon lock is as common as experiencing recoil. They are a military focused company and their products are tailored as such....I wouldn't shoot off a suppressor down range indoor, but seems like a really good way to get a suppressor off after a whole day of training in the military outdoors. Also, their attachment system is proprietary so no other suppressors would be ready to attach out of the box.
Hey Aero! I’ve purchased and used your products. Big fan. Leaning towards the Lahar for my first ever suppressor purchase. An Aero rep mentioned at Shotshow that you would be offering a proprietary mounting solution. This is the thing I’m still trying to understand! Is it a QD style that will mount to, say, a VG6 muzzle device? Thanks!
It is a QD mount! It will mount to a proprietary muzzle device. You can also use a dead air keymo system, silencerco ASR system, or just direct thread.
When are you guys going to respond to Lucas???? Not even joking I have a M5E1 decked out with Krieger and JP. As I feel Lucas is trying to keep companies honest. I think you guys have a ligament response to his video
What is it that need to respond to? Lucas ran the M5 bone dry, the issue he had with the BCG were addressed. Aero bolts are made by a third party and Aero said they aim to inform that supplier of the issue and implement the necessary changes.
What kind of muzzle device can the Lahar and QD mount work with?
Will aero be releasing their own muzzle device/ QD mounting system? If not, what are the exact QD system you use in this video?
Did you ever figure out what hes using
looks like a deadair keymo hub
Thanks for the video I’m getting my first suppressor for my 556/223 rifle pretty excited
Same here. Are you doing the direct thread of QD? I’m still learning
I hope everyone there at Aero Precision had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day🦃😉👊👍🇺🇸

Yes. The Lahar-30 has 1 3/8 x 24 threads so you can use a number of different industry leading QD mounts.

You can direct thread a suppressor and threaded barrel as long as both have the same thread pitch

Ok but what QD’S work with the Lahar?? Why am i having trouble finding this info??
Dead Air is what you want.
Patiently waiting for that lahar30
You won't have to wait much longer!
@@AeroPrecision yup just saw the release date for 11/30!
Quick question: will the mantle adapter work with surefire muzzle device?
@@RogerLoUSPSA It will not.
Can a keymo hub adapter and 3 prong flash hider work on the lahars? Ie no issues with flash hider hitting the first baffle.
I have a PSA Saber with a JMAC GFHC-E, will the Lahar 30K fit with the keymo adapter?
Does direct thread increase the chances of baffle strike compared to a QD system?
When is the QD mount going to be released?
Who knows 🤷🏼♂️ hopefully before mine gets out of atf jail.
Is Aero Lahar 30 hub compatible so I could switch between direct thread and Mantle QD?
ETA on the Aero QD??
Estimated Q2!
So for example if i get the PRECISION LAHAR-30-1/2X28 for my PSA 300 blackout I can still use that suppressor on my 5.56 ar?

How can I find my barrel thread size I’m shopping for a compensator I have 300black out 16in 1:8 barrel? I can’t find anything on the website
Local armory with a gunsmith should be able to tell you for sure
So I bought a dt only can and I can’t find a mount system that works with it. Can is a cgs hyperion
Museum quality mount needed with the ATF approval wait times.
Will any of these cans fit my Surefire Warcomps?
No.
