    Dear Sir, greetings... Thanks for sparing your time and sharing the valuable knowledge. Further, kindly elaborate that since min pressure required at sprinkler head is 15 psi in light hazard, do we not have to install prv at every floor level in sprinkler main branch to maintain 15 psi at last sprinkler of every floor. You said that prv is required if pressure is more than 175 psi which sprinkler cannot handle. so prv is not required upto 175 psi, but keeping such a high pressure will give very high discharge from sprinkler as per Q=K*P^(1/2). This will empty the tank very quickly and not last for required duration. So do we require prv at evry floor in sprinkler branch line?? I hope i am able to explain my query properly. Pls clear my doubt on the same. Thanks in advance & god bless u for your service..

    • @TanweerAhmed
      @TanweerAhmed  4 года назад +1

      1st point: Sprinkler orifice or hole is small therefore flow of water to be 15psi or small up/down pressure as per K-factor.
      2nd point: Sprinkler design pressure means max pressure, if water pressure increases then sprinkler burst or damaged automatically. Therefore 150 or 175 psi is max design pressure limit.

      Question which i understand from above person if there is 100 psi pressure in pipe line .is we required to install PRV or not? If not then why?

      @@TanweerAhmed pressure in main riser pipe line after PRV would be 12.1 bar I mean to say if pressure increases in day time if the pressure in riser pipe line before prv may be 15 bar so once pressure comes to the springer orifice after pvr what would be pressure 12.1 bar asper NFPA13 & once sprinkler brust the water showers as the same pressure of springer like max 1 to 3 bar correct ??
