Hello Mr Tanweer, It seems you did really a good job. If you add one more picture for horizontal hose connection at 3:00 min of your video that will be more clearer for your visitors. In addition you may also classify the requirements for hose real VS hose rack as well. RASEL, CFPS, NFPA
You are welcome if you need your content to review I would spare time for you great job, it's free of course. Furthermore, your presentation is smooth. I am certified Fire Protection Specialist from NFPA, USA
AoA, mashallah very nice presentation... One thing confused me that ap ne pehlay kaha tha k 1st and 2nd stand 500 gpm hotay hain but example ap ne 250 rakha hai.. can you please elaborate?thanks
sir in class 2 what is it mean by most remote hose connection? if im not getting confused there,s difference b/w hose connection and stand pipe. looking forward to your reply. thank you so much
Most remote hose connection means, hose connection installed or want to install at away (farthest) location and pump head pressure calculation from this/that point.
Tanvir Bhi stAnd pipe agar 4 inch dia design hy. Jaisa k pipe k length 20 feet hoti hy kya har 20 feet par flanged joint hoo ga. Aur flange weld hoo gi. Please replay thanks
Please clarify one thing. If i have 4 hose connection in one floor in 2nd stand pipe so as per this remote stand pipe has 500gpm and second pipe is 750gpm and additional pipes 250gpm.is this correct.
Thanks for this video and i would like to suggest something can u plz take any project fire fighting dwgs for example commercial building b+g+7 office building (which can include combined sprinkler and standpipe system) so that this will be very much clear for sure. Thanks & Regards.
Can you pls tell us how to design water tank storage capacity for this stand pipe systems which has 1250gpm. How much minutes water need to supply 45 or 60 minutes

Dear sir , could y explain when do we single standpipe system , and when do we use combined standpipe system , i mean whats is rquiremnt to use sprinklers syayem along with hose cabinet , like is there area rquirement or somthing like that
Hose connection, hose reel or landing valve used in entrance, exit, staircase, lobby locations and sprinklers are used in all general areas. If you want to install both sprinklers and hose connections then this system will be combined, otherwise single system
@@TanweerAhmed i got yr point , but is it possible that in high raise building can i use only automated sprinklers system , and for satircase i will not use it may be if the cost increase . Or nfpa state that its compalsery to use combined syatem in high raise building

Sir but discharge of pump comes from 450lpm to 28880lpm where as you suggesting the discharge that too 1250gpm.as per my knowledge one gallon is 3.5ltrs by your calculations it comes 3600ltrs per minute.pl explain.
Dear Tanweer, What is that horizontal standpipe gpm should be 750 if it is serving with more than one hose connection means, could you explain sir?.....
Consider your pump selection to be 1250 gpm as shown in this video. Max 1250gpm irrespective to how many riser you have. I hope it is clear for you now.
Hello Mr. Tanweer, I have a project where there are 22 standpipe risers. There is 1 electric pump, 1 diesel pump each of 1250 gpm. My local code states that , "All standpipes in standpipe system shall be sized so that they will provide a minimum flow 500 gpm. In standpipe system with more than one standpipe, the supply piping shall be sized for the minimum flow 500 gpm for the first standpipe plus 1000 litre per minute for each additional standpipe. The total number of such additional standpipes shall not be more than 8." Does this mean I need to get another set of pumps if the total standpipe riser exceeds more than 9?

1. Class-I means 2.5" hose valve connection with standpipe 2. Class-II means 1.5" or less diameter with Hose Rack or Hose Connection with standpipe 3. Class-III is combination of Class-I and Class-II means 2.5" connection along with 1.5" or less Dian hose rack or hose reel

Sir, is NFPA require about painting pipe...thickness, layer , RLA
NFPA doesn't specify paint thickness or layers for pipes.
Tanvir Bhi stAnd pipe agar 4 inch dia design hy.
Jaisa k pipe k length 20 feet hoti hy kya har 20 feet par flanged joint hoo ga.

Please replay thanks
It will be weld and flange required where valves or other accessories to be joint with pipe.
Thanks for replay.
Fire hydrant should be threaded despite Of flanged you say this In One Of urs video is it true please confirm.
Where pipe size is 2" or less then pipe joints to be threaded
Thanks
It means if connection is 2 1/2 inch then It will be flanged hydrant.

Sir ,if total GPM above 1250 for non-sprinkler riser wat we have to do?
Follow NFPA-14
These are for light & ordinary hazard. For extra hazard follow hydraulic calculations in the light of NFPA-14

@@TanweerAhmed BNBC 2006 (Bangladesh National Building Code) code no 4.2.3.2
I am not familiar with this code but all codes follows NFPA, I think so... How much area is for 22 nos. standpipes ?
NFPA say that non sprinkler standpipes shall be max flow 1250 GPM.
👏

how could we bring 1750 gpm to 1250, if calculation is for 1750 then how to make it 1250, which method is to use.
