Wild isn't it? Almost half a century old. One of the fist modern steel looping coasters. One of the first with a vertical loop. Good stuff. Schwarzkopf was brilliant. Just really bad with money. It's a shame he didn't live longer and get to do more in the industry.
The roller coaster that really started it all for Magic Mountain. Two years later Colossus would open and after that there was no stopping it from becoming the coaster capitol of California.
@@adventuresinsplashmountain6 well Remember my first time on this coaster was 1977 and I was 10 years old at the time. There was no other coaster like this at the time
Rode this multiple times the Summer it opened [for my 13th b-day], and then again in 2016 when it was an 'augmented reality' coaster. I really enjoyed both versions of it, but in watching this video I can see how dated The Revolution is. Still a cool ride and I love it a lot.
I'll be 50 next year and I've said to the wife I'd like us to travel all the way from England to visit Six Flags Magic Mountain so I can have a go on the Revolution. 1, You better believe I'll be listening to Sparks on my ear buds and 2, I'll be having my picture taken where Timothy Bottoms get flattened in Rollercoaster. 😁
The mom that kept saying, "You're fine" got to me because I'd be the kid that kept saying, "I'm scared." Honestly though, I don't know if a looping coaster is the best coaster to take your kid on if they're scared. I won't step foot on a looping coaster, they terrify me. Unless your kid is comfortable and expresses they want to go on a looping coaster before you just take them on one. I know it's a way to conquer a fear is to face it head-on, but there's something about coasters that are different.
Looks exactly the same as when I rode it 20 years ago. I don't remember the tunnel. Prolly cause I was as drunk as Barney from the Simpsons, and stoned like Snoop Dog. This is a good coaster. Get rid of the 6 trim brakes and let that thing loose!
Oldest looping coaster in California, beating The Demon at California's Great America by 14 days. Although The Demon has 4 loops, The New Revolution is a much better overall coaster.
It looks OK, but it’s not compelling me to go there to try it. I don’t like coasters that keeps slowing down and starting up again. I like one that takes you for one nonstop crazy ride.
"You're fine, you're fine, you're fine..." to the kid screaming bloody murder. Hilarious 😂 And what's with all the trim brakes on this thing? Just when the train finally gets some momentum, it hits another trim brake and slows it back to a crawl. Talk about annoying! 😑
I'm glad that I had the opportunity to ride Revolution WAY BACK IN THE DAY, when there were no LAME TRIM BRAKES before the Loop, and after The Tunnel. The speed of the Trains going into the Final Helix was Absolutely Awesome!!!
Unfortunately, Revolution is a shell of what it used to be. The Coaster had a 5 Train Operation. That's what it had when I 1st rode after graduating from Marine Corps Bootcamp in October of 1978. It would explain explain for the very large transfer track Train storage area. But most of all. There were NO STUPID LAMEASS TRIM BRAKES before the Loop and after The Tunnel. After the slighty faster speed going into the Loop, The Trains had a very powerful finish going downwards into the Final Helix. Now as the Trains make that small incline before entering the Final Helix, the ride experience is nothing more than a Snooze Fest.🥱😴

The mom comforting the son ❤😂
That ride was broken when I went😢😢😢😢😢 last year, same goes for x2, riddler revenge and goliath.. ninja and apocalypse 😢
Of course!
1991, 1993, 1997.
Revolution is a super classic roller coaster.
Many times over the course of 40 years. Magic Mountain is the best.
The scenery makes this ride fun.
The first steel coaster of it's kind now over 40 years old. Debut in 1976 as kid I was 9 going 10 when I first rode it.

My first big scary roller coaster! It’s old but it still so much fun.
Joyful memories right there!
Its not really scary except for the loop!

I love this attraction of the Revolution.
Love the Revolution!!!

I remember going to six flags for the first time back in middle school, this was my very first roller coaster and I loved it ever since.
After all these years , it's still a masterpiece have been better built after this but was the very first one with the loop ever made! Revolution ❤
Man it realllllyyy crawls over those hills in the beginning. They should remake the tracking on it, so it goes faster
It used to be much faster but they ruined it with speed brakes 😢
God Bless Her she was a beautiful woman and a great actress may she rest in peace 🙏
Bro commented on the wrong video 💀
I always thought it was cool how much this ride uses the terrain to its advantage, you know? Whether it’s the hills or the vegetation :)

The kid in the back 😂
Now he a coaster enthusiast hopefully lol
I was just there today. Had lots of fun too bad X2 was closed
Seems to be more trim brakes than when I was on it but that was a while back.

This could be remade into a great Intamin launch coaster. Did there use to be the sound of a monster in the tunnel? Wasn't there smoke, too?

20 years ago it had some of the most uncomfortable over-the-shoulder restraints I've used. Now it's back to just a lap bar like it was originally.
what camera you use for this ride? thanks
1:53: MAKE IT STOP! GOTTA LOVE THEM PUNKASS LITTLE SCAREDYBRATS!
So glad they got rid of the vr headsets
My first loop coaster but my head was facing toword the ground on loopp
Hmm. The Trees have grown...RED CEDAR "The Ride" Bakersfield C.A!
Ain’t no way the G force is 4.9. It’s almost the same speed and has the same inversions as incredicoaster and it doesn’t feel that much force
It’s the Classic revolution

I remember when it didn't have backhead things sbd and just bars
You can actually fall asleep on this thing.
Apparently those little kids in the background weren't having a great time
Mommy I am so scared😂
tutto bello ma quello o quella che urla per tutto il percorso da fastidio!!!

For no reason the first drop on this this gets me for no reason😂😂
