- Rane 12 MKII’s will work with Traktor pro thing to know is both usb and red and yellow plugs must be connected, the TSI. mapping is from DJ Carlo and he sell this partial mapping for a nominal fee ! Thing is now I’d like someone to have a sheet where all the functions can be mapped from this TSI. Mapping. It sometimes does some funny things but it works and I was told by both companies this would not work at all and I almost brought a Z-2 just so I could mix with Traktor pro 3 any question please ask I’ll help. I just couldn’t get a lot of info from people so I had to figure it out myself how to connect all this to work but the mapping is DJ Carlo Attendio I forget the spelling think this is it though. I don’t like Serato as much as Traktor this is why I was fightingTo get this to work the screen also does not work.
Thanks for this video. I am interested in buying a pair of Twelves to use with a Z2. Could you perhaps let me know if there is any cue/sticker drift on the Twelves in Traktor if you do a lot of scratching and beat juggling?
I do not beat juggle yet I’m learning how but even with me using the S-11 there is no drift esp using Traktor and the Z2 is def compatible with Traktor the S-11 is not supported and this is why I have some issues and the touch screen does not work but with the Z2 you good I was actually gonna do the same and use both mixers but once I found a post that had connect my S-11 I was good I use Traktor for Housemusic but Serato for scratching and me learning turntablism soon as Traktor steps up and supports the S-11 I’m done with Serato if they ever do because I really do not want to use Serato but have no choice because native instruments for now refuses to support my mixer. Good thing about Traktor it can be midi mapped to any controller and technically the Rane 12’s are controllers as time goes someone will map these tables all the way …… I hope or native instruments steps up don’t know why they not trying to support this mixer but I’ll wait and make due until then

@@strictlyvintagebasketball354 Thanks for the response. Yeah, technically, the Z2 + Twelve should be a pretty solid setup. I'm conifident its all going to work without any fiddling or mapping. The only concern I have is the possibility of cue/sticker drift in Traktor. Phase DJ (in DVS mode) has really bad cue/sticker drift in Traktor and I'm trying to find out if this problem will also occur using Twelves in DVS mode. For now, I'm using Serato since Phase works pretty well in Serato.
@@alphaza76 I e heard nothing about drift from anyone using Traktor and to be honest Traktor is a much better software Serato you have to prep it and tweak it so that somethings will work but as I’ve used Traktor it’s made so well that you more than likely will not have to do anything related to tweaking I imagine I mean when I went over to Serato I had to beat grid all of my songs and using Traktor I didn’t have to do it even though I could have and if you beatjump into a track Traktor will beat match automatically it’s just a better designed software over all I really am just tolerating Serato because I have to but Traktor is way better any issues I’m having with it performance wise is because it’s not compatible with my S-11 the software is solid top to bottom so you should not have any issues if you do please advise is like to know and I’d be really surprised.
@@strictlyvintagebasketball354 I agree and I also prefer Traktor over SDJ, specifically for the more accurate beat gridding. Also , it sounds better than SDJ, especially when scratching. The cue drift I mentioned with Traktor is only with Phase. SDJ has HID mode for Phase which is a lot more accurate than using Phase in DVS mode on Traktor. I wouldnt use SDJ if it wasnt for Phase. It saves me a lot of money since I dont need to keep on replacing my needles. I am keen on buying Twelves and using them with Traktor and a Z2 - i just need to be certain there is no cue drift with this setup before I drop the cash on the Twelves.

Ok here is the deal with this since I use the Pioneer Djm-S-11mixer I went here( traktormaps.com) to get the mappings for that mixer then connected my Rane 12MKII's via this mixer otherwise I would not be able to use these controllers. It works ok and it is def limits no usage of the screen on the mixer and a few other things but I only use a few items so it is fine so far seeing how it's been a while you'd think Native instruments or Rane would now have a TSI file that would work totally so that we lovers of Traktor could get full use out of these controllers using Traktor but the pricks that these companies are they still have not addressed this issue so to speak so for now I mostly use Serato but Traktor is still much better in my opinion on alot of levels hopefully this will assist you if you have this mixer and this setup

I'm at version 3.5.2 already so i'm checking to see if i have the latest version and if so what were you saying in regards to this update for example is it now compatible with the Pioneer DJM S-11 where the screen would be able to be used and all the functions or is this just a more stable version to be midi mapped and will not sometimes perform so wonky sending messages like "ground hum" or "skipping " I'm just trying to get clarity as to what the update will do to help make the S-11 more transitional to be able to be used even though it is not natively supported or is it now supported.
