My favorite thing about peggy is he always sounds like he enjoys doing what he does, and doesn't care what people think. Hes just having fun. And its awesome
Can attest to this after seeing him live! He loves his job and loves sharing it with his fans! Truly an amazing person!
peggy is taking a punk approach to hip hop
@@screwtapee half of hip hop today has punk in it
@@screwtapeehip hop was pretty punkish back at the start
The ghost~pop tape...
fun fact: the part in panic emoji that sounds like a shower peggy was actually recording that part while sitting in the bath tub with the water running having a panic attack, hence the shaky vocals and the name of the song
@turning the tables Kevin was right
Man i remember listening to Baby im Bleeding for the first time and thinking "i didnt know you were allowed to make rap like this"
Real taught me art has no boundaries
PEGGY WHERE YOU BEEN AT is hard asf
the song that got me into jpeg lol. That song is so good
37:58 “This music is um. It takes a certain ear, and people who like it like it, and people who dislike it.. it scares the hoes, right?”
Kevin is just the greatest 😂
To me the most appealing part of this album is the way that it almost feels like you are flipping through channels on a TV, and you are never stuck on any single track for long enough. And as you go further it just gets darker and darker

Every day you guys do experimental rap is a happy day. Gotta do clipping, injury reserve and more death grips!
Yessssssssssss
did they do bttigtp yet?
@@thomasvettikad unfortunately not
Hoping they do vobbb in Halloween
@@thomasvettikadoh they really should that album is life-changing
PLEASE do injury reserve by the time i get to pheonix, it's the craziest experimental rap album I've heard
Second this
hi zwuppo
They're definitely going to at some point. Hopefully Kevins enjoyment of all these Experimental albums will fast track us to more injury Reserve and death grips and shit
100%
true
If you eventually get to LP!
I strongly suggest listening to the offline version as the spotify version was not the intended product and a bunch of songs and parts in some songs had to be cut or stripped down due to licensing issues (offline is on his youtube and bandcamp just not spotify or apple music) (+ the last few songs on Spotify are just songs from EP!)
Yes, I confirm this but the RUclips version isn’t updated and the mixing of the Bandcamp version is miles better except for a few details
Spotify version is fixed unless they have changed something in the last few weeks. They had both versions, Offline version sounded exactly like the bandcamp release. But like I said, haven't listened to it in a few weeks so maybe it got taken down?
@@matiasacevedo5557 no
@@matiasacevedo5557 I have the band camp one downloaded yeah but the offline one is uploaded on RUclips

@@Cornincarnate no some songs are different or not the original mix for example listen to the band camp/offline what kind of rappin is this and the online version they’re different
I have literally been obssesed with this album for 3 years straight!!! Gonna love this
So glad you're going through the Peggy catalogue. I CANNOT wait for the Cornballs listen. I've always had such admiration for the clashing and harmony between the chaotic production and harsh lyrics to the ethereal moments of release in softer sections. He somehow makes it all cohesive and an incredible listening experience.
Peggy is probably my favorite artist, and I'm always eager to see people's first reaction to his sounds. Great video
8:54 I was tripping balls when I first heard this album and it was actually a really cool experience haha. All the weird sounds and great uses of samples were kinda overwhelming, but in the end it made the album even more impactful for me. I listened to it 3 times that day and I'm in love with it since.
not reccomending it tho lol. It might be too much for some
Thug Tears is next level on acid fr
i'd love to see The Ghost~Pop Tape at some point too. definitely my favourite album from him
I think its a little bit too dense, but my favourite álbum aswell :)
@@asapborquez7808 yeah the atmosphere in that album is unmatched
Where do you listen to that
@@ethankennedy8552 the ghost pop tape from devon hendryx it was an old name that peggy used to make some músic a long time ago
@@ethankennedy8552 Bandcamp.
This album and black midi’s schlagenheim really opened my eyes to how good textured and complex music could be. They both came out around the time I really started to branch out to a lot of new genres. This album has consistently been in my rotation for years now. Easily one of the best albums of the last decade
Yes, JPEG was in the shower doing the panic emoji song, and experiening an actual panic attack and figured he'd record it
one of the best experimental rap albums ever. amazing
im very sick rn so why not listen along with the guys to some peggy?
Same in absolutely dying but hell yeah lemme sink into this
Why is everybody here sick at the same time, me too man
@@sebastianherrera6514 the pfp really makes this reply better lmao
as a white boy representant we all clicked without a moment's notice thank you for this
As a long time peggy fan it brings me so much joy seeing so many people celebrating one of the most talented producers of our generation
one of my most listened to albums ever! very excited to check this reaction out! :D
Been waiting for this one!! Imo veteran will go down as a classic of this generation, one of the most fun, experimental, catchy and full of personality albums I’ve heard
This is a controversial opinion, but I think this album is just as good as TPAB. The weirdo production is so interesting, and the way it speaks to modern political and social conversations is mind blowing.
yeah i disagree hard with this lol. not about you thinking it's better than TPAB, that's fair, bu how is the social commentary in this "mind-blowing"? its a guy spewing edgy shit as a reaction to all the racist hate he faced in his life
just you guys making me realize how much better an album is after i listen to it with you. great video
Waited long time for this one of my favourites of all time for sure
Man that room on fire vinyl just creeping in the back, can’t wait for you guys to listen to that one. Another great video as always
Great album to react to!! Fun to hear your comments and takes, keep up the good content!
I really hope you showed your dad the colors show live version of thug tears!
Ever since I saw you guys do in rainbows I’ve been suggesting this album it’s so unique Peggy has become one of my favorites over the years
hell yeah. I can't wait for you guys to get to more death grips eventually. definitely willing to wait
No waiting from me, catch me in Vancouver if we ain't seen a new dg reaction soon
been WAITING for this one!
its crazy how clearly I can SEE peggy swaying and bouncing as he raps in every song
damn you guys have been covering some great records lately
been waiting for so long for this one
I was literally just listening to this album, this is an amazing work of art from peggy. Hope you guys check out more stuff from him.
I love how open you both are to experimental music, and are able to understand it as well, like the intention and the layers involved, its awesome :))))❤
This is the album that finally clicked for me with his music. So excited to watch.
been waiting for this for so long!!!
I´VE BEEN WANTING YALL TO LISTEN TO THIS RECORD SO MUCH OMGG, NICE
I love this, but if this means what I think it means, I absolutely CAN’T WAIT for you guys thoughts on Cornballs and LP! Offline
i remember recommending this album on a comment about a year ago😭 so happy y'all did this finally. love the video, excited for him to listen to all my heroes and lp!
So much fun tho, shoutout to y'all 💯
Man, I love this channel
the way kevin said "kevin" 0:04 made me think of "you think you know me"
Need that LP! And Offline reaction. Love❤️
i cant believe your dad called it during panic emoji when he asked “is he in the shower?”. if i remember correctly, i heard the vocals for panic emoji were recorded while peggy was having a panic attack in the shower
cant wait for him to hear LP!, make sure to include the offline version tracks
honestly just love your videos ! keep it up !
As someone stoned on the bus on his way to work I can say “Thug Tears” was terrifying. It sounded like the alien from AvP was in my ear half the song!!
Been waiting for this. Can't wait for AMHAC now
Man i'm so glad you covered this album. My eyes literally lit up when i saw this upload :D
Same😌
A classic in my opinion. Im excited for yall to react to more peggy, all his albums are so unique and im looking forward to kevin seeing a different side of peggy
LOVE THIS! Can’t wait for All My Heroes
I think Kevin really likes experimental hip hop so I'm excited to see more Death Grips reactions. Either Exmilitary, Bottomless Pit or The Powers That B (mainly just to hear On GP)
on gp greatest song ever made
wtfffffff i listened to this album by myself at the exact time yall released, this only now am i finding this video, 9 days later
We need a D’Angelo reaction! I’m certain Kevin’s mind would be blown
Now THIS IS EPIC
ʸᵒᵘ ᵗʰᶦⁿᵏ ʸᵒᵘ ᵏⁿᵒʷ ᵐᵉ
Cannot wait for your dad to hear AMHAC and LP!
I had a crazy ass weekend one time, where I had 3 tabs of acid and over the course of two days i listened to this album maybe 8 or 9 times on my home stereo system while out of my mind. Best way to experience the album tbh
i remember when yall was doing the kanye and radiohead albums, i NEVER thougt we would end up here lmao😂
happy we did
Why?
@@sebbem99 because its experimental
excited for this one :)
great video as always, can’t wait till y’all do cornballs!!
The day has come! Love this album but AMHAC is still my favourite from him, can't wait to see you guys dig into his discography even more!
Forgot how much I enjoy this album! Haven't listened to it in ages. Baby I'm bleeding is so fkn awesome
One of the best albums of this century hands-down.
Its in my top 10 albums oat
Them both head-bobbing to Germs at the same time was HALLIROUS
Finally! Waited for veteran for so long
can’t wait for Offline! It’s one of my favorite projects from this decade
FINALLLYYYYY!!!!! I've been waiting for some Peggy reactions!!!
Guys I think his dad is ready for All My Hearoes Are Cornballs and LP!
You gotta do all my heroes are cornballs man we neeeeeeeeed it.
This was such a pleasant surprise to see!
Great content! Looking forward to All My Heroes are Cornballs
the moment ive been waiting for
For really experimental hip hop I'd really love to see your reactions to Standing On The Corner and Slauson Malone
In the spirit of boundary-pushing music, I'd love to see a reaction to Visions of Bodies Being Burned - clipping. Unlike any sonic experience I've ever had. My favorite of theirs!
track number two is going to be quite exciting
NEED LP! ASAP
25:08 He's said that he made Panic Emoji in the bath whilst having a panic attack, so that's probably his tap running through his laptop's microphone.
I been waiting for this day
now u have to go through all of peggys discography
For real
can't wait for you eventually to do cornballs or lp
Yessir this one of my favs for sure, next one you guys should do is another Death Grips review. The Powers That B or Exmilitary would be the best and if you do TPTB than you should also go and split it through notm and jenny death
Super excited for more Peggy reactions ❤ Can't wait for LP! (OFFLINE)
FUCK YEAH DUDE I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR SO LONG!!!
personally love LP! the most, would love to see a reaction.
one of your best videos
Dayum is such a lovely little track wished I could hear the full version Peggy said he. Cooked up in the amhac docu
C'mon y'all, keep on the experimental and do a react to Clipping's Visions of Bodies Being Burned 🙏🏼
Kevin’s gotta hear the colors version of Thug Tears!
More Grips please, Connor. For the love of God. Dad needs more Death Grips
Totally unrelated but my favorite part about Peggy is that he has a guilty gear tattoo 😂
yes!! i love that ABA tattoo he has
and a cool song named guilty gear
hes got good taste
you guys gotta do Get Rich Or Die Tryin!
this album took awhile to grow on me, it's just so off the wall and batshit insane
i forgot how many times i asked for this
WAITING FOR DIE LIT
iirc Peggy clicked pens whenever he’s on the verge of an anxiety attack, and that’s what the beat is made of on Thug Tears, you’re hearing a pen, clicking
also during Panic Emoji, he was recording in the bath with the water running, either having a panic attack, or again on the verge of one
Peggy also produced another track yall listened to, "John Wayne" on Denzel's Melt My Eyez
And yes, he was in the shower in "Panic Emoji" he recorded it while having a panic attack
I thought I remembered reading that JID & Peggy were going to work on something together. CANT WAIT
by the time i get to phoenix will be a crazy one
Really hope y’all listen to All My Heroes Are Cornballs or LP! soon
