I just fucking LOVE YOU sooo much XD You have made this purchase, just so REAL for me. Lots of videos out their promoting this product. But you have eased my mind, and totally explained how this works. So well done mate. I was worried if one of our cats would be trapped outside, not be able to get back in. Your video has made me right now buy this product. Well done, get that promotion x We don't need fancy videos, we need REAL ones. Which is what you have done x Just loved your video. Thank you x
My flap was only put in today but even with the Manuel I'm not sure which button to press to get the chip recognise. I'm going to use it for my dog so I hope I can figure it out. Mine is all digital operated which is nice but obviously more complicated for me. But great that you explained it so well. ,👍
Same issue here!! Caught the little robber a few times! Poor Mia is only small and this other cat seems to be aggressive! Going to try this!! Thank you for the review! Hope tilly is enjoying her full bowl of food!!
Thank you for the review, mate. This was way more informative than sales videos and such. I'll be getting the same flap for my cat so I don't have to open the door for her every hour or so.
I’ve just purchased this exact one today from my local Pets At Home. I spoke to a member of their staff telling them that my cat Honey, is 11 yrs old, very timid and shy of strangers, is getting very upset and distressed due to another neighbouring cat coming through her cat flap and eating her food. We know this for sure as we have security camera front and back. My cat Honey is my fur baby, and as much as I love cats, my baby comes first. We’ve fitted the new flap today, and put the batteries in. I got her to put her head through in order for it to read her chip. All seems to be working, she’s been out through it. She was a bit nervous coming back in as it made a clicking noise(to be expected) but she did it. Hopefully this will now be the end of neighbouring cats coming in. We’ll just watch our camera footage of them trying, and we’ll laugh. Hopefully they will get bored and come to know that they can’t get in. Fingers crossed. Love and respect to all you cat lovers 👍🏼❤️😺🇬🇧
@@ProductReviewsHelp Honey has only used it once since fitting it yesterday. Yes she too is also nervous of the clicking noise. I keep reassuring her. Hopefully she’ll start using it ❤️👍🏼
We’ve had a new door fitted this week and chose the same microchip flap like yours. One cat had no problem. The other is scared of the clicking noise and disappeared for 24 hours in protest. He returned but was very suspicious of new door and flap. We took the batteries out and he will now use the flap. Won’t put them back in for a while, let him get used to it and try again when we are home all day. Fingers crossed.
Can anyone please let me know if it would work for/against your own cats? I have 3 cats and only want 2 of them to have access into the main house from the cat run. As the third will run away and stay away for weeks at a time often only coming back when he’s been injured and required veterinary treatment. I wonder if I buy this will he be able to just closely follow the others through the flap before it locks again or will it close behind each cat?
There's a couple of reviews of the larger model, saying a clever cat can still get in hoooking the door to the outside with their claws, when it's in the in/out mode. The little lock apparently only locks it from the inside, so the door can't be pushed in, but ca be pulled out. Thoughts?
@@ProductReviewsHelp I have since bought and installed this flap. It would have to be a cat equivalent of Albert Einstein to open it from the outside. It also has a special mode, which can be activated in the settings, that engages the outside lock when an unprogrammed cat tries to pull it ope from the outside, so thumbs up. Our cat also learned how to get in on day one, not deterred by the click. Couple of days in, she still needs a little encouragement on the way out, but I'm sure she'll work it out.
Would this stop my second cat getting through? He is v smart and when a normal flap is set one way he just gets a claw in and pulls it forward. Sometimes he whacks it enough to catch it on the reverse bounce. He is very food motivated. The reason I want one of these is so the other cat can eat at his own pace in the pantry.
lol I'm looking for the exactly same info as you do. My 2 cats needs to eat different food, and one of them is really food motivated, too. If you happen to know a solution pls share with me. I'll keep searching as well.
Mine has stopped working. I figured the batteries died but the red light still comes on when pressing the button but it won’t clip open anymore, no clicking sound either. Is it broken would anyone say? 🤔
Now that you’ve had the door a few months, how are you liking it? Has it kept your unwanted visitors out? Im looking at installing this into my door but am afraid to cut the door if it’s not a nice product.
Hi Julie, it’s still going strong and Tilly is still finding it really easy to come in and out we’ve had no problems with other cats because they can’t get in, we would recommend it, so glad we bought it.
How fast is this one to unlock? It seems pretty quick in the video. I ask because I have a Cat Mate one that takes about a second to unlock. This leaves our cat vulnerable to being attacked from behind by the neighbours' cats who she frequently gets into fights with!
Hi John, as soon as Tilly put her head near the flap it unlocks then she just pushes through and into the house. It is really good we've been very pleased with it, we still haven't had to change the batteries.

Hi, I was wondering which size you bought. I see they have 2 sizes, and i think the small one is big enough, but it says the opening is 12cm wide, while my old one is 15cm. What about the micro chip imbedding into the cats skin. Is that safe? I cant do a collar, because that could be dangerous for my outdoor cats as it is something that could get caught on a fence or tree.
You can get emergency break away collars. We buy a bunch for our cats and when they break we just put a new one on. The microchip is a standard thing in the UK, dogs and cats both have them. I think dogs have to by law now, could be wrong. A think you can have it done at the vets and it's a tiny thing that doesn't take long at all.
@@spaldychops Thats a great idea for breakaway collars, never knew! My cat goes in tomorrow for an imbedded chip and im installing the sure flap door! Time for her to get her lair back from the family of coons!
