Coping saw. I agree about the look of dovetails. I was thinking that for this bench, due to the stress of the 90 degree angle of legs to top, I might glue in a support block the width of the top along the interior (underneath) the joints. It wouldn't be too obvious, and would greatly strengthen the connections. Nice presentation, thank you!
Hey just wanted to say love your videos! I relate to hating stain, worst part of the projects but when you are doing furniture like this what finish do you normally gravitate towards? I have started moving into furniture from smaller craft style projects and I was wondering if I should keep using oil based poly's for those or if I should try something else. Thanks!
Da durfte ich schon drauf sitzen😊 Perfekt🎉
Nice to see a large bench, most are tiny. Dovetails looked great.
Thanks!

Thanks for letting me know! I agree, that would improve it and wouldn't be too obvious.
Nice bench, think I'll make one.
Thanks!
Nice build. You inspire me to do more...
Thanks!
Love your bench. What part of Germany are you from. I was stationed in Bamberg when I was in the Army in 1972. Beautiful country
Thanks! I'm from the north of Germany. Close to the Baltic and North Sea. But now I live in Canada. Still miss the ocean sometimes...

Thanks! Yes, staining is the worst! I'm not an expert, but personally I prefer oil based finish. And for small pieces also some wax.
