  • Church Street Liverpool is fast becoming tent city. Everyday a new tent appears or a new face is lying in a doorway. The council are doing what they can to help, but do the government care?

      96% of Romanians own their own property, highest percentage for any country in the world opposed to 60% brits. No Romanians or Europeans for this matter have been coming to UK since brexit, stop trying to justify you failed gov on Romanians as social housing is given on criterias, not to mention that Romania is not even in top 10 poorest countries in EU enjoying £18.000 GDP, perhaps it's time to change your script.

    There is only one thing to ask, how can a country allow its own people to live like this, while questionable imigrants are in hotels.

    • @rondonnis6588
      @rondonnis6588 7 месяцев назад +2

      Hotels cost even more than they used to pre-2020 the prices aren't sustainable for the economy as these rooms can cost £100 a night and that's lower end of the scale per night and if they built more flats they could free up some money to helping poor people again instead of forking out for rooms for immigrants. I don't like the idea of green belt land being used to build flats but what can we do?! The other thing we could do is say no to immigrants and only accept people being physically threatened by foreign governments, it's not the uk government's fault for foreign totalitarian governments decisions really.

    • @dave24-73

      @@rondonnis6588 I wouldn’t believe most the immigrants are fleeing, as many blog their travel, and are happy to return home for Christmas, I think the UK is just seen as an easy target. I’m all for supporting families kids parents etc, but this isn’t what the UK is letting in it’s mainly 18-24 year old males, who have no respect of the UK rules and customs, and I would say it’s more a silent invasion than people fleeing for their live. Also most are coming from safe European countries.

These are genuine homeless people, not the scrounger beggars who pretend to be homeless, and are not. Please help them, give food, and the nessesities everyone needs. We are going back to the Victorian times. No one should be homeless, apart from the government, and not in their cosy warm mansions. To the guy who made this video I applauded. Thank you. • @2525Hudson
    @2525Hudson 7 месяцев назад +24

    If the council does not stop this, then the city will end up like LA, SF, and NYC. The problem now is that those cities are so bad that the local offices cannot control it, it now affects the businesses and that is putting tourists and businesses off visiting and investing, that in turn brings down income for the businesses left behind. This cannot be allowed to grow. The councils of Liverpool and Manchester are being adversely affected by landlords like myself selling our portfolio's, this then puts immense pressure on the emergency accomodation the council legally have to offer. The speeding up of asylum claims is also having an adverse effect, the migrants in the hotels are being given leave to remain and thus they are given 7 days to leave said hotel, paid for by the home office, and are then to be funded by the local authority. This is a disaster coming all our ways this new year, the one thing they can do (the govt that is) is to stop targeting landlords with punitive taxes and legislation, we then may not sell and stay in the market. Either way, having tent ghetto's in the heart of any city will only damage the overall income of that city council.

    Man, this is dreadful. Thing is, I doubt the local government can do much at all. Wasn't the entire council housing stock sold off in Liverpool? Low interest rates incentivised loads of people into the buy-to-let racket, which spiked up house prices. As interest rates rose, those highly leveraged landlords weren't profitable and sold off, and the price of renting went through the roof. Along with that, raising interest rates on top of the energy price shock has pushed businesses into insolvency, which means less job opportunities. It's almost as though the whole crisis was manufactured. What comes next?

      The Fake Homeless are deceptive, dishonest, manipulative scammers, they will take advantage of easy targets.
      One hostel had a number of people having legs cut off. Nothing to do with lies about being in the army, it was to do with injecting drugs. One woman even caused her own amputation to get more money in benefits.

    This pisses me off. I think all us Brits need to do something this isn't right. Im sick of the councils and the government are a disgrace. We the brits pay the government and the councils, and for what for outsiders to be looked after and not our own. Ive got notice to move out my private rent, me and my kids have no where to go, my wages need to be £31000 to £33000 to get another private rent as prices are way higher since i moved here. I can't afford it, the councils a joke😢

    Finland has no homeless, they solved the problem, by building affordable but nice apartments. They spent money, but our government doesn't care, and won't spend a penny. But they do for immigrants and house them. This is a global problem, and it won't go away but will get worse.
    The government brag about how many houses are being built but doesn't tell you., only the rich can afford them.
    It's a cruel disgrace when you think of all the empty houses, old empty factories, and warehouses, that could be converted.
    It's so bad now in America. That an estimated, 20,000 people live in storm drains in Vegas alone.in such a wealthy city around them Many have died when there have been floods.
    I no longer have faith in governments and no respect. They get richer, and the poor get poorer. Robin Hood in reverse, took from the poor and gave to the rich.
    I have said in the past, that we are going backwards to Victorian times, now I think it's way further back, to the dark ages if it carries on. Love Liverpool, and the people, it's in my heart, so is the homeless.

  • @TheMancalorian
    @TheMancalorian 7 месяцев назад +2

    One easy solution in every city to solve homelessness. Simply renevate a tatty building into cheap affordable accomadation rather than let buildings go derelict.
    I would also state stop allowing migrants in but that aint gonna happen and it will only get worse, when tbe system doesnt look after thier own.
    Its a harsh reality but in the end the system is to blame on so many fronts.

    its not racist to prioritise local born homeless people over those who have been in the country for a microsecond. someone can just swim over to the uk and get more decency, more respect, more RESOURCES over locals who have paid taxes into the system to the council for years. i have compassion for ALL homeless people regardless but it makes you think. as a taxpayer if i were made homeless i would expect at a bare minimum that i get some form of shelter, something at least. they are leaving these men to die outdoors

    Video interviewer, John Liverpool:
    4:35 Yeah. I'll be honest I've never met a homeless person who's NASTY OR BAD.
    My meeting with the homeless women & men: "Why not go to the homeless shelter ( ... )?"
    "They threw me out. I'm not welcome."
    IMHO most voluntary homeless people have Complex PTSD, a mental disorder. This has been created by a chain of other events, started from their inability to relate to authority figures. These authority figures interfere with the private times, & private lives.
    When meeting 'together' strangers, these C-PTSD people put on the public mask. However, if they are tired, fatigued, etc, they very quickly become 'NASTY OR BAD', to everyone and everything. This can be standard, predictable human behavior.

    Like one of these lads said with council hostels ,they can be dangerous and noisy places so though ,as grim and cold as it is many don't go in them ,we're as immigrants get in safe hotels if anything happened the police ,would be there to sort it out obviously the root cause of everything,is they just won't build affordable homes ,year in year out decade in decade out but there's not an ,uproar because in many peoples minds these people don't matter ,the other thing that is hopeless that makes things worse ,are high rents and bills were you don't get enough off social security,to pay everything so you run up bills and that can mean homeless again ,I sadly don't see it ending anytime soon our leaders priorities,all wrong were they put foreigners first before our own ,and most crazy thing in 40 years since thatcher sold council houses ,the billions was never re invested and obviously in this time , population has gone up by many millions .
