    I have lost a few to suicide and my daughter has lost 2 friends. All male. Jade Robert's project is brilliant. A lot of the services are not fit for purpose telephone appointments waiting times ect. There needs to be funding and more put into training. Workshops are also good. Meeting other people that are going through the same thing is also helpful knowing your not on your own. Heart goes out to the families that are left behind.

      @@AdikiaMedia Easy to pretend on the phone. Having someone face-face and feeling safe helps to open up. As you say it is tick boxing just like the questions they ask. My cousin who was 22 was at hospital his mum begging for him to be sectioned by the crisis team, a person walks in after a few hours by this time my cousin's emotions had settled a bit he was asked the clip board questions answered the questions. They was happy and off they sent him. 24hrs later gone. 😢 Definitely needs some funding to many lives at risk and lost.

    "the government took £180 off me because I didn't turn up to my appointment so they sanctioned me. I'm homeless because of them" No mate you're homeless because you've made some terrible life choices. How about you stop making excuses, blaming other people and turn up to your appointments? People on benefits literally have to do 1 thing, turn up to your appointments... Yet so many can't seem to manage that 1 simple thing. Shocking.

  • @Alxndr57834
    @Alxndr57834 12 дней назад

    I have absolutely no sympathy for homeless junkies and alcoholics. They're in that position because they made terrible life choices. Start being a responsible adult and take charge of your life, associate yourself with good people, get a job, live within your means, don't drink or use drugs, set some money aside for sudden expenses and you'll be alright. And if you are a vulnerable person then the council are legally obligated to offer duty of care to you... Which means putting you up in a hostel or emergency accommodation until they can find you somewhere permanent. The harsh truth is most homeless people are homeless through their own fault and are not vulnerable so the council isn't obligated to help them. I mean why should they? Why should these people be given free housing because they f'ed up and made terrible life choices? I'm a hard working responsible person, where's my free flat? It sucks and I wish homelessness didn't exist but it does and the only way we can prevent it from happening in the future is to teach your children about being responsible and making smart life choices. Stop blaming other people or the system / government for your shitty problems. The government didn't make your homeless... You made yourselves homeless through your own negligence.

    First had heroin over 30 years ago. Took nearly 10 years to get bad habit, which lasted 12 years or so. Not taken it for 12 years. I never ended up in the gutter so to speak, but thats not to say it wasnt hellish. The mental health issues and trauma were first, with drink and drugs being a symptom of it. Most addicts are trauma victims looking for solutions.

    I’ve been the project multiple times, Tracey, Jack, Andy, John, Sara, Dani… the list goes on they’re amazing people and SAVE LIVES. I was at the lowest point of my life having lost my best friend to suicide, a break up and more suicides all within 12 months. I truly was lost, I felt stuck in the darkest pit of depression and couldn’t see a way out, having tried everywhere else, NHS and other support, but not getting anywhere, I’m not going to lie they just didn’t understand me and didn’t have patience, thankfully I found the Jade Roberts project, which was to me like my final straw, they ultimately saved my life. I’m forever thankful. It’s not just helped me, it’s made me the person I am today, they’re like a close family bunch, they say it how it is, if this place closed down the suicide rate would go up, it’s essential this place stays open, not for the next year or 5 but for the foreseeable future.
