I worked in incident response for the railway I dealt with too many.
I luckily am not affected I can switch off, but the people left behind have my greatest sympathy.
The highest rate of suicide is young men sadly.
    I wish you good luck

I’ve been the project multiple times, Tracey, Jack, Andy, John, Sara, Dani… the list goes on they’re amazing people and SAVE LIVES.
I was at the lowest point of my life having lost my best friend to suicide, a break up and more suicides all within 12 months. I truly was lost, I felt stuck in the darkest pit of depression and couldn’t see a way out, having tried everywhere else, NHS and other support, but not getting anywhere, I’m not going to lie they just didn’t understand me and didn’t have patience, thankfully I found the Jade Roberts project, which was to me like my final straw, they ultimately saved my life. I’m forever thankful. It’s not just helped me, it’s made me the person I am today, they’re like a close family bunch, they say it how it is, if this place closed down the suicide rate would go up, it’s essential this place stays open, not for the next year or 5 but for the foreseeable future.

I know first hand how hard Tracey has worked not only to get the project open, but also to train and become a great advocate for mental health and suicide prevention, there's no other project in the city which offers what they do without waiting lists, they don't receive any funding and that makes it hard for them to stay open, if anyone wants to help by fundraising or donating please get in touch so Tracey and her team can carry on the good work 🙏

I have lost a few to suicide and my daughter has lost 2 friends. All male. Jade Robert's project is brilliant. A lot of the services are not fit for purpose telephone appointments waiting times ect. There needs to be funding and more put into training. Workshops are also good. Meeting other people that are going through the same thing is also helpful knowing your not on your own. Heart goes out to the families that are left behind.

@@Lisa-Peter7875 so sad, sorry to hear that. You’re absolutely right in what you’re saying though. The telephone appointments are just a tick box system

@@AdikiaMedia Easy to pretend on the phone. Having someone face-face and feeling safe helps to open up. As you say it is tick boxing just like the questions they ask. My cousin who was 22 was at hospital his mum begging for him to be sectioned by the crisis team, a person walks in after a few hours by this time my cousin's emotions had settled a bit he was asked the clip board questions answered the questions. They was happy and off they sent him. 24hrs later gone. 😢 Definitely needs some funding to many lives at risk and lost.

@@Lisa-Peter7875 that’s unbelievable and yet nothing changes! I still feel like nobody takes it seriously and it’s still just labelled as “attention seeking” sometimes. Awareness of this should be taught at schools.
