This video was very helpful for me to decide which laptop/hiking bag to pick up. I currently own a 2018 22L pacsafe anti-theft lock hiking bag. Although love my pack, it's on its showing a breakdown in the material. So I purchased the Thule Chasm Laptop backpack 26L in Pond color today! This is going to be perfect for multi-use between work-life and hiking. :)
Looks like a great bag. Are there any ways to lock the zippers on the top or side of the bag? Thinking about the quick access into the laptop compartment being both a pro and a con. Thanks!
The color of carry handles are changed from some white to all black, same with back side of the bag. They added pass through. Id like the some white version of handle carry plus pass through. Nice review! Got mine as i comment🫡🥳
According to the Thule website, there's a newer version that adds the luggage handle strap. As far as I know, that is the only change from the previous version.
Hi! I have this bag as my commuter bag and really like its simplicity and sleek design. How is the false bottom for the laptop compartment in your experiance? I can really feel my laptop hititng the floor whenever i put it down. Wondering if I got a faulty version.
Hi, the false bottom is far from perfect / not enough on this Thule Chasm 26 = you don’t have some faulty version, it’s the same with mine alas… To solve it I use extra laptop sleeve (bought separately) indeed = it eliminates not only false bottom issue but provides additional protection from any moisture (rain, spills etc)… To be more precise = the false bottom is present, it’s not completely absent, or in other words = laptop compartment is suspended above real bottom of the backpack a little, however this suspension is rather provides not enough gap to be fully certain you won’t hit your laptop in case of really rude physical contact of the backpack bottom with a floor or table
Love this video, as well as the one on Thule Accent 26L. The thing is, I'm extremely torn as to which to get! The Chasm feels comfortable to wear, while the internal compartments of the Accent feels more well thought out to minimise cannibalisation of space when one compartment is packed with more things than it's adjacent one. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)
All "problems" mentioned in a video are more like "me/you" problem. Key chain? For real? Better focus on detailed info on a bavkpack than on "me" problems 🤦🏻♀️ backpack itself is super nice and is great for business traveling or everyday city life 🙌🏻
Be nice to see her do more videos. She is very comfortable and has a natural delivery.
Agree
Totally agree
Perfect timing. Have been looking for a new laptop bag. Super helpful review.
Thanks for watching! 😃

Have they released a new version? I have this in autumn orange and the back panel is different. I have no luggage passthrough.

Has Pack Hacker done a review of the Troubadour Apex 3.0 yet? NY Times Wirecutter gave it best Laptop Backpack of 2024. Love the hidden side pouch.
hello, can you review tigernu backpack?
Have you reviewed the green toiletry kit that was in the main compartment?
Hi there, would you guys mind to review the latest Thule Paramount 3? Thanks.
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along.
@@PackHacker2 thank you, appreciate it
Great Video!!
Thanks for watching! 😃
Does it stand up? Previous version didn't and that's a deal breaker
It still not
I wish this question is always included in bag reviews, I consider it a very underrated feature that most bags sadly don't have
Accent 26L does :)
@@Ecclestonee yeah I think all of the accents do
