Fantastic cover of the Buddy Holly classic. Judith’s voice and the harmonies with the rest of the Seekers were excellent. You are sorely missed Judith R.I.P. 🙏
The Seekers were class entertainers.Judith's voice was like icing on the cake.I've been enjoying their music since 1966 and still do .I truly miss Judith and may she rest in peace.
Is there any song they can't sing ? I'm completely in awe of this woman and The Seekers and have been a fan since the early 1960's . In some respects she reminds me of Linda Ronstadt , with her powerful voice , talent , grace , and a voice that is so clear & distinct
A really great group from a time when music was still beautiful. Judith's voice was truly amazing and an absolute pleasure to listen to. I loved this group when they first came out and as they matured.
A voice like a bell of gold. As well as clarity and control, she conveys powerful emotion. They all meld together in a quiet, understated way. RIP Judith.
+Phillip Marcum Most women singers with a voice similar to Judith's, seem to get all quavery with age - too much vibrato. Judith's is still as strong as ever.
There are people out there who'll "thumbs down" something just because they are contrary, sour and enjoy disrespecting things they have neither the talent nor the imagination to create themselves.
A wonderful voice, a great band. I'm 73 now. And I was in love with her in my teens. Shucks, still am a little bit. We loved them here in England, and I'm sure the rest of the world did.
Flawless. And don't you just love how Judith 'lives' the song, so full of restless, almost mischievous, girlish buoyancy as she sings and pauses to jig along to the instrumental passages. Everything that can be said about her truly lovely voice has been said - what an absolute treasure she is - and the boys.
I know you can fall in love with a lady, but untill now i did not know that you could fall in love with a voice :). Gorgeous, brilliant, perfect. R.I.P. dear Judith.
I was in High School when the Seekers came along. They were a Once in a lifetime breath of Fresh Air. Judith had the voice of an Angel, and the Guys harmonized with her perfectly, both vocally and instrumentality.
For as long as I can remember I have been a total Buddy Holly fan. But finally I have a version of this song that is its equal. Thanks Judith and Boys.
David Taylor There is one person. Jeanette Macdonald. Her top C is the best i have heard. To be found in "Wanting you" From new moon. Singing with Nelson Eddy. From C down to A. The two best notes sung ever!!
This is such a brilliant rendition. I'm always entranced by Judith's amazing voice. God truly blessed us by allowing us the privilege of hearing her sing :0)
Love this band. Judith's voice is amazing, sounding the same as when she was a teenager. Great to see the band performed for so long. Aussies sure have staying power.
My Nan and Grandad loved The Seekers in the 60's and they didn't 'do pop' being born in 1901 & 1900 respectively. However, they saw something pleasing in the music of The Seekers.
Linda Rostandt and Judith Durham. The best natural singers in the world. No extra makeup, no fancy or almost not dresses, no special musical arrangements. Just them. And as a bonus they were and still are beautiful.
When i was 14/15 i found this song and i literally fell in love for it. I Loved Judith's voice, the entire video, the lyrics and the harmony, the good vibes the song gives to you. The seekers were among the bands who helped me to discover a lot of music, a lot of artist from the past who never gets old. Thanks Judith and may your soul see the eternal light❤️
Judith is absolutely amazing. To come back from such a serious life changing car accident and still be so angelic is a true miracle. Long live the Seekers!
Miss Durham has one of the enduring voices of folk/rock and the Seekers will be remembered for the blend of their brilliant harmonies and the wonderful music of the musicians. Kudoos to you in this fabulous group! We (your fans worldwide) love you! StocktonRob
Just be aware the Seekers are very addictive, once you start listening you will keep returning, learning & enjoying these people from my 1960s Melbourne, never met them but know the senses & the environment they came from, folk music scene of early 60s & early Melbourne coffee shops.
Wow, now there's a blast from the past that sounds as fresh now as it did "back in the day"! Judith Durham is a treasure, and her pipes have held up phenomenally well, as has she! Deeply impressed!
Its difficult to find a suitable adjective to describe Judith Durham: even superlatives such as amazing and sensational seem totally inadequate. Quite simply, she is in a class of her own and I wish this lovely lady good health & happiness.
A great cover, of a great song, written by a Canadian, Paul Anka. May Buddy Holly, Judith Durham and Jerry Allison (Buddy Holly's drummer) rest in peace. Cheers! ✌️🙏🕊️
@Barbara T I’ve been married for 32years I was 24 and she was 20. She got cancer in 2020 I was totally lost without her. She took a major hit the treatment was horrible for her. I could not do anything to change the situation so I felt helpless..This song reminds me of her.
I wonder if Linda doing a cover had any influence on her doing it also. The Seekers are completely in the background here and she is the focal point, more so than in other videos and performances. It also struck me that her expression was more one of determination than the usual gentle happy expression she usually had when she sung.
You obviously have never listened to Linda Ronstadt PROPERLY !! .She is the Gold standard.I'm a Melbourne boy, i love the Seekers but Judith Durham just could not do what Ronstadt could do.

An amazing lady with a unique voice. I was lucky enough to see Judy at her South Bank concert in London on her sixtieth birthday. All four had such talent.
I've been listening to Judith Durham's music for many years. Always liked her singing. She is one of my favorites. I remember her from in the 60's (I'm old now...). Very talented and very pretty.

The best female voice ever and what a humble lady she was RIP Judith Durham.
A really great group from a time when music was still beautiful. Judith's voice was truly amazing and an absolute pleasure to listen to. I loved this group when they first came out and as they matured.
I'm 75 and never have I lacked for beautiful music whether it was the 60s or this decade. The fault isn't the music or musicians but the listener.
Of course music is STILL beautiful.
Music is still beautiful if you know where to find it.

Its just a miracle that she's the only one who's hair didn't turn gray.
